As soon as we left York Barn at Villa Farm after our first viewing we knew it was the place for us. We had "that feeling". The barn is is beautiful, you could spend next to nothing on decor and your wedding would still look stunning. The outside space is equally lovely and there is a lovely covered, heated area which is ideal for those wanting to get fresh air or take a breather from music and dancing.
The cottages on site were spotlessly clean, really nicely decorated and had everything you could want or need during your wedding weekend. Our whole family and wedding party stayed in them and loved it. The team were brilliant, especially Nicole, who was our main contact. She was incredible from start to finish, quick to respond to all our of queries no matter how big or small, she was patient with our requests, thoughtful about every little detail and she was possibly the calmest person I've ever met, which was so incredibly reassuring. The team at Villa Farm are so experienced and knowledgeable, they think about every tiny detail to make sure your wedding day runs incredibly smoothly and allow you to have the best day ever without worrying about a single thing! We cannot recommend this venue more strongly. We even went back recently for a Christmas party and we were welcomed with big hugs and a lovely note in our seats welcoming us back and offering us a drink on the house. If that doesn't show you how much this team go the extra mile I don't know what will! Honestly, it was a dream and I would go back and do it all again every week if I could! Thanks Villa Farm.

We cannot thank the team at Villa Farm enough for everything they did for us for our big day in June. A special thanks to Nicole and Ola, nothing seemed too much and they both always went above and beyond.
The venue looked absolutely stunning and even the turtles in the pond made an appearance for our special day. The cottages were clean, cosy and the hot tubs were a great addition to get the weekend celebrations started. The whole weekend could not have been anymore perfect & we would recommend Villa Farm to any bride & grooms looking for a venue.

As soon as we walked into Villa Farm we knew immediately it was the venue for us, this only become more set in stone after meeting Nicole. She was so brilliant and welcoming - it felt like we’d known her forever and we just knew she was the person we wanted to help us plan our special day.

The venue is so absolutely beautiful and so unique. We actually said on the first visit that we could have got married there and then that day because it was so beautiful as it was. We really didn’t need to do much in the way of decorating so as not to lose the beautiful features! Everyone who came to our wedding has said it was one of the most beautiful venues and weddings they’ve ever been to!

Our day way so amazing and ran so smoothly and this is due to the amazing work of Nicole, Corinna and Ola, we absolutely loved them and on the wedding day it really felt like the were a part of it and had became friends by the time the wedding arrived. It is you ladies who make the venue as special as it is, so much so the following day we were saying how much we were going to miss them!

Apart from our proposal, it was the EASIEST 'yes' when deciding to have Villa Farm for our wedding venue. From start to finish, the staff made the whole planning process easy and such a joy. They made every detail special and took everything into consideration. Nicole and Orla were amazing! Extremely helpful and had us at the centre of every decision. At a chaotic first meeting during a wedding fair early this year, we fell in love with York Barn, both the venue and the staff.
We booked the following week, giving ourselves just 7 months to plan the perfect day which we couldn’t have done without the help and support of the lovely ladies Nicole, Ola and Corrina.
The whole process was seamless, every detail was covered, nothing was too much trouble and a solution was given for every question or hiccup along the way (#cakegate).
The day was everything we wanted, we were so well looked after and everyone commented on how beautiful the venue was and amazing all the staff were.
We cannot thank York Barn enough for making it a day to remember, we just want to relive it again and again!

From the first moment we walked into this venue, we knew how special it is and instantly decided this is where we wanted to get married.
We cannot thank Nicole, Corrina, Ola and everyone else at Villa Farm enough for helping us have the most amazing wedding day. Our first contact with Villa Farm when we made an enquiry, right up until the day itself, was absolutely fantastic. They responded so quickly to any questions and made the whole process feel worry-free. We got to visit the venue several times before the big day which was a nice build up as well. The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous and has everything you could need on site. So many of our guests couldn’t stop talking about what a perfect venue it is. The holiday cottages with a hot tub is a great touch to make your day feel even more special.
Our day was absolutely perfect and I have no doubt it was due to the hard work of every one at Villa Farm. We are both so grateful to have found a venue that really cared about what we wanted and helped create our dream day. We are so sad for our day to be over but Villa Farm will always hold a special place in our hearts.

This venue is fantastic. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone. York Barn is such a flexible venue. Your wedding can be posh or laid back and the venue will compliment them both. The venue has beautiful fairy lights all around the ceiling, multiple options on tables, with or with out linen, multiple ways you can get married at the venue depending on what you would like. We got married on the 29th June 2024. At this time of year we thought the weather would be sunny with no worry of rain coming. Think again. As we all know this year has be shocking for wet weather but York barn made our dreams come true of getting married out side even though the rain did not stop until 1 hour before the wedding. They waited for the rain to stop and quickly got the chairs out so we could get married outside. They mad my dream come true and I got to walk down the (long) aisle to my now husband. This made our day perfect and even when the rain decided to show at about 7pm it did not matter. They have a large outside patio with seating and a canopy that coves all of it so no one got wet and could be outside while they changed the room for the band to set up. Even thought it is one room this does not matter. The staff are so organised and so professional you don't even notice them changing the room around when it is time for your night time entertainment to arrive and set up. As our band (The Ordinary Men) required a large area to fit in to, this was no trouble for York Barn to organise. All in all this venue was perfect for us on our wedding day and we would do it all again every weekend if we could. Thank you.

I can’t put into words how much I loved working with Nicole, Ola and Corrina when planning my wedding at York Barn. They made the whole process such a pleasure, so easy and stress free. Every supplier and every guest commented on how lovely and professional all the staff were. The venue itself was absolutely beautiful; and having access Friday - Sunday made it such a smooth and fun weekend to set up and pack away. We stayed at Pheasant Rise which was absolutely wonderful, and great to get ready with the bridesmaids in the morning of the wedding. The team’s attention to detail never went unnoticed. I’m going to miss them all so much! Thank you for making our day the most perfect and special day I could’ve ever imagined.

Villa Farm was the first venue we visited and straight away we knew it was the one!! We had 5 months to turn our dream day in to reality and it turned out better than we could have ever imagined. Nicole, Ola & Corrina were a great help in the run up to the day organising all the behind the scenes bits But even the day before they got stuck in and helped us set up. The venue is truly beautiful, and we got so many compliments regarding the staff on the day!! We’re sad for our day to be over but we will be definitely booking to stay over sometime soon!!

The team at York Barn couldn’t do enough for us! The run up to the wedding was smooth, with regular contact, planning and care. Special shout out to Nicole for waiting until the last minute to allow us the outdoor wedding we had dreamed of and for making a fantastic reel of our day. All of our guests loved the venue and family/friends loved staying on site in the gorgeous cottages. The team were honestly amazing and matched our sense of humour, easing any last minute nerves. Ola and the bar staff were fab too and so patient when asking for over 40 Baby Guinnesses to toast with. We had the most magical day and it wouldn’t have been possible without the team at York Barn.

We got married at Villa Farm in July '23 and we simply cannot recommend this venue enough. As a family run venue, we were made to feel so welcome from our very first meeting and everything had such a personal touch. Nicole was our co-ordinator and she was an absolute dream to work with, her attention to detail is amazing and we can honestly say we felt zero stress leading up to our day as Nicole took care of everything.
On the day, everything ran like clockwork and we could simply relax and enjoy.
The onsite accommodation is also excellent and allowed us to enjoy a full weekend with our family and friends. We look forward to staying again in the future and being able to reminisce about our day.

Me and my partner got married here in April and from the first point of contact the staff was there everyday especially nicole. The barn is incredible with its natural but modern style the moment we walked in we knew it was the one. Can’t fault villa farm york barn & the team enough for creating our special day. Nothing was too much trouble from first enquiry to the very last detail of the day. Nicole & corrina should be proud of the work they do. I can’t recommend the venue enough. The outside space was unreal, it allowed me to have my dream outdoor wedding. The staff was all friendly, approachable and very welcoming. The venue is great for small or big weddings.. the barn doesn’t need much decoration. The wooden floor made is easy for my dress to glide along. The drinks was amazingly priced for guests. Outdoor space on a raining day would still work.
