As soon as we left York Barn at Villa Farm after our first viewing we knew it was the place for us. We had "that feeling". The barn is is beautiful, you could spend next to nothing on decor and your wedding would still look stunning. The outside space is equally lovely and there is a lovely covered, heated area which is ideal for those wanting to get fresh air or take a breather from music and dancing.
The cottages on site were spotlessly clean, really nicely decorated and had everything you could want or need during your wedding weekend. Our whole family and wedding party stayed in them and loved it. The team were brilliant, especially Nicole, who was our main contact. She was incredible from start to finish, quick to respond to all our of queries no matter how big or small, she was patient with our requests, thoughtful about every little detail and she was possibly the calmest person I've ever met, which was so incredibly reassuring. The team at Villa Farm are so experienced and knowledgeable, they think about every tiny detail to make sure your wedding day runs incredibly smoothly and allow you to have the best day ever without worrying about a single thing! We cannot recommend this venue more strongly. We even went back recently for a Christmas party and we were welcomed with big hugs and a lovely note in our seats welcoming us back and offering us a drink on the house. If that doesn't show you how much this team go the extra mile I don't know what will! Honestly, it was a dream and I would go back and do it all again every week if I could! Thanks Villa Farm.

We had our wedding here on Saturday 8th July 2023.

We met with Nicole for an initial viewing back in July 2021 and felt instantly looked after. She kept in touch with us regularly and her professional expertise really shone through. She helped us create a detailed timeline of our day and co-ordinated everything for us, we never had the opportunity to feel stressed! Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, she was absolutely fantastic.

We had planned to get married outside but unpredictable weather meant a quick turn around to facilitate the ceremony inside. Corrina, Nicole and their team were absolutely fantastic - not only did they treat us with kindness and patience when trying to make a decision but the military precision in which the team can turn the room around is amazing.

The team were so committed to making our day as special as possible. Our guests had nothing but good things to say about all the staff - we particularly enjoyed the bar staff dancing behind the bar! The staff didn’t feel like staff, it felt as though they were extra guests which was lovely!

We also stayed in Blossom Cottage on-site which was excellent - the team even took our cards back to the cottage during the evening do and filled up the dishwasher while they were there! The day after we headed back to the barn to clear away our decorations only to find that they had done most of the work for us and all we had to do was load up the car.

We would absolutely recommend York Barn to anyone. Such a lovely venue and team within it that doesn’t even have a hint of “corporate” about it. We will be forever grateful to everyone there who made the whole experience unforgettable - special shout out to Nicole who “never gets in the pictures” but totally deserves the recognition! Can’t fault villa farm york barn & the team enough for creating our special day. Nothing was too much trouble from first enquiry to the very last detail of the day. Nicole & corrina should be proud of the work they do. I can’t recommend the venue enough. The outside space was unreal, it allowed me to have my dream outdoor wedding. The staff was all friendly, approachable and very welcoming. The venue is great for small or big weddings.. the barn doesn’t need much decoration. The wooden floor made is easy for my dress to glide along. The drinks was amazingly priced for guests. Outdoor space on a raining day would still work.

We had our wedding at York Barn this summer and we simply could not have asked for a better venue and people! From the first day we met Nicole, we knew we wanted to get married there, not just because of the stunning location, but because the team are genuinely so friendly, down-to-earth and helpful. Unlike some venues, where absolutely everything is a costly extra, York Barn include so much and are so flexible. Everything about the weekend was perfect, and Nicole, Corrine and the team could not have done more to make it that way. The onsite accommodation was superb, and made our wedding feel like more of a weekend event than just a day. There's literally not a thing we would change, the saddest thing is that we now don't get to speak with them and meet up regularly, the whole process was made so easy and fun. We'll be going back for anniversaries and special occasions for years to come!

We are so incredibly grateful to the team for making our wedding weekend so special! The professionalism and care of the staff is second to none. All our guests are (still!) gushing at how smoothly the day went.

We were married at villa farm July 22. The venue we’re fantastic and emailed us back pretty much straight away every-time. They went over every single detail of the day and the day went so smoothly. The venue itself is wonderful and we were able to get married at there outside location. And even thou it was raining early morning by they still made this happen for us. I couldn’t recommend them more

York Barn and it’s amazing team are one of a kind. Not only is the venue incredibly beautiful and a wonderful place for a wedding (or other event), the team are amazing. They made our wedding run so smoothly. They went above and beyond at every point.

Expecting be a stressed out bride, I was far from it on the day. That was down to Nicole and Corrinas amazing wedding planning and organising on the day. They ensured everything ran smoothly and went to plan an I was so grateful.
We fell in love with the beautiful venue the minute we walked in, and knew that it was the right place for us to get married.
The whole team at Villa farm have excellent communication skills which made the whole process easier ( including the 2 occasions we had to change our date!) , even helping us to contact all the other suppliers to help us rearrange.
The team made sure that I had all basis covered, reminding me about things I hadn't thought about.
The cottages on site are perfect for the bridal party and family and friends, very convenient after a long day and too many proseccos!
The who venue has beautiful photo opportunities both inside and out. The fact that our 4 legged family member Jaffa could also join us for the day was a huge bonus

Where do we even start to begin to explain how great Villa Farm is?
We got married here in April and hired 9 of the holiday cottages for the weekend for the guests. York Barn is an absolutely stunning venue for a wedding, due to weather we were married indoor but the fairy lights and wooden beams made it a perfect ceremony setting. The fantastic space outside provided amazing scenery for our photographs. Corrina, Nicole and the team at Villa Farm are simply fantastic. Very friendly, welcoming and will make sure your day goes perfectly. The holiday cottages are great, the hot tubs are a fantastic touch and especially great for relaxing with your nearest and dearest the night before your wedding. Thank you so much Villa Farm, can we do it all over again?

The team at York Barn couldn’t do enough for us! The run up to the wedding was smooth, with regular contact, planning and care. Special shout out to Nicole for waiting until the last minute to allow us the outdoor wedding we had dreamed of and for making a fantastic reel of our day. All of our guests loved the venue and family/friends loved staying on site in the gorgeous cottages. The team were honestly amazing and matched our sense of humour, easing any last minute nerves. Ola and the bar staff were fab too and so patient when asking for over 40 Baby Guinnesses to toast with. We had the most magical day and it wouldn’t have been possible without the team at York Barn.

We booked York Barn for our wedding this August and couldn’t recommend enough!
From our first enquiry with Nicole we were sold, we had the best service, communication was excellent and everyone was so helpful at every stage of planning.

Us and some of our guests stayed in the on site accommodation which was perfect and had everything we could possibly need (hot-tubs especially popular!) . The team were so welcoming and helpful. They helped us organise a pizza van to come the night before which was a lovely start to the celebrations.

On the actual day the whole team were amazing, ensuring the day ran seamlessly and we can’t thank them enough. Would highly highly recommend!

We booked York Barn at Villa Farm immediately, as soon as we visited. It was the only venue we needed to visit for our wedding as it was so perfect! Our summer wedding was so magical at Villa Farm and ourselves and our guests has a wonderful stay in the surrounding cottages the night of and night before. The team behind the stunning venue can't do enough for their couples and we are genuinely sad to not be in regular contact now that our wedding is over as we really do consider them friends.
Our wedding went without a hitch thanks to our coordinators Nicole and Corrina and the rest of the team! We truly had the best day and we had zero worries or concerns as everything was taken care of.
The venue itself is beautiful. We were so lucky to have an outdoor ceremony in the grounds and our wedding breakfast inside was everything we hoped. They were really understanding when it came to our decorations and vision and we could not be more thankful!

We got married at Villa Farm in July '23 and we simply cannot recommend this venue enough. As a family run venue, we were made to feel so welcome from our very first meeting and everything had such a personal touch. Nicole was our co-ordinator and she was an absolute dream to work with, her attention to detail is amazing and we can honestly say we felt zero stress leading up to our day as Nicole took care of everything.
On the day, everything ran like clockwork and we could simply relax and enjoy.
The onsite accommodation is also excellent and allowed us to enjoy a full weekend with our family and friends. We look forward to staying again in the future and being able to reminisce about our day.
