There aren't enough words to say how amazing this venue and staff are. We recently held our wedding at Humber Barn, and it truly exceeded our expectations in every way. From the moment we started planning to the final moments of the celebration, everything was handled with such care and professionalism.

Sammy, Jo & the team were absolutely fantastic throughout the entire process, a special mention to Jemima for helping the groom's party. They were friendly, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile to make sure everything ran smoothly. On the day itself, they were very well organised and made us feel completely at ease, which meant we could relax and enjoy every moment with our family and friends.

The food was incredible, all our guests complimented about how delicious everything was, from the starters right through to the evening meal. The presentation, quality, and attention to detail were outstanding, and it really added something special to the whole experience.

The team clearly made sure the entire day flowed seamlessly. Every detail was thought through, and any small requests we had were handled quickly and professionally.

We couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate such an important day. A huge thank you to the whole team for helping make our wedding so memorable — we would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a beautiful location with exceptional service, amazing food, and brilliant organisation.

We first met Sammy at Humber Barn with no real plan and an idea of a possible Christmas wedding. From this Sammy created the most perfect day for us. The venue is stunning and the smaller ceremony barn was perfect for us plus the grumpy farmer. Every small idea or thought, Sammy elevated and made it happen from an absolutely delicious hog roast banquet to festive appetisers - mini mince pies and yummy mulled cider. All the staff are brilliant, friendly and so welcoming and Sammy is an absolute legend. Nothing was too much trouble and we had the absolute best day.

We had the most incredible experience with Humber Barn for our wedding. From our very first visit, the staff were so friendly and welcoming, and every time we returned they took the time to answer all of our questions, making the whole planning process feel relaxed and easy.

The venue itself is absolutely beautiful, and we loved that everything is in one place- It made the whole day flow perfectly. What we especially loved about Humber Barn was the flexibility it gave us – we were able to do exactly what we wanted and bring our vision to life in the way we had imagined.
The atmosphere throughout the day was so relaxed and the team made it clear that nothing was ever too much trouble.

The food was also amazing. Our guests still rave about the pizzas, and they were such a hit on the day! The breakfast the next morning was equally lovely and went far beyond what we expected – it was the perfect way to end such a special celebration.

A special mention has to go to Sammy, who was amazing and professional. Everyone who met her over the wedding weekend commented on how lovely she was. We still talk about how smoothly she made everything run and how enjoyable the whole day was thanks to her and her fantastic team.
When I arrived feeling nervous, Sammy greeted me with a hug which instantly calmed me and made me feel at ease. The communication leading up to the wedding was also brilliant, which made everything stress-free.
We also never once felt rushed, which meant we could really take our time and enjoy every moment of the day and the following morning.

Thanks to Sammy and her team, our wedding day was everything we hoped for and more. We couldn’t have wished for anything better.

When we booked Humber barn the second ceremony barn hadn’t been done up but by the time our wedding came around it was finished and looked amazing! We decided to get married in here and then have the wedding breakfast in the main barn. Everything went perfectly and nothing was too big an ask, whatever we suggested they found a way of making it happen and we’re so accommodating to us and our guests! They also hosted a superb breakfast the next morning which was a perfect way to catch up with friends/family after an amazing day. Couldn’t recommend them enough, it was just perfect!

We had the most amazing day with Humber Barn, we can’t fault their experience, advice and expertise. The venue itself is so beautiful and there are plenty of options for both indoors and outside (which is what we opted for) great views of Dartmoor and the chickens running around made our day! It really felt like a family experience and was exactly what we wanted. Sammy, Marie, Joe and all the team made us feel so welcome and having them share our day was great, especially Sammy joining in on the rodeo bull!

We have the most spectacular day at Humber barn with Sammy and her team. Food was incredible and drinks incredible, super flexible and totally customisable. Could not fault the venue or the team running Humber barn at all. They exemplify everything a wedding venue should be! Wish we could do it all over again!

Our family played our 1st dance, which was beautiful. We had a local band and a DJ in the evening and dancing til almost midnight. We had 40 guests in the day and an extra 86 at night. The barn looked incredible with the tables made up, delicate floral arrangements and with the strings of lights at night.

Our guests were blown away with what a fantastic wedding/venue it was. The staff were really helpful and did lots of the taking everything down the next morning. The careful planning made it all seamless. Sammy met me/us numerous times to tweak our plan and a cuppa and cake was always available.

My nieces with special needs were 2 of my bridesmaids and with additional support, they had a marvellous time, too, as did all the extended family.

Thank you for the best day of our lives, even if it was the second time around for both of us!!

We had a great experience having our wedding here. We attended 2 years of wedding fayres/tasting days. Yummy!

Sammy was a great addition to the team, so accommodating, flexible and hard working. She helped us create the wedding which was just right for us. The ceremony barn with a registrar and then a blessing with our minister in the evening for our evening guests gave us the luxury of having everything in one place making it easy for our older guests and with camping and breakfast available, convenient for our friends who travelled far.

Humber Barn now has such a store of decorations which you can borrow, it really helped cut down the cost and waste of one use wedding decor. Hence, environmentally friendly.

The food was delicious- we went for prosecco and canapes, grazing boards, wine, tea and cake and then more prosecco and a hog roast with roasties, coleslaw and salad in the evening. It was very well devoured!!

Sammy was great at helping us with the timings, dealt with all the music, allowed us to have a run through the night before and gave us tips like being presented into the wedding breakfast and dancing around the tables to 'This will be an everlasting love' by Natalie Cole.

From the moment we first visited Humber Barn, we knew it was where we wanted to get married. Joe and Sammy tailored every detail to our needs, creating the wedding day we had always dreamed of. They are incredibly flexible, able to work around any budget and find a plan that truly suits you.

From the moment we booked and met Sammy the wedding coordinator, we have nothing but positive things to say about Humber Barn. Nothing was too much of an ask, they worked with our budget, allowed us to play round with menus, gave us room to make the venue feel like ours for the weekend, helped set up (Ruby and Jed are fantastic), food was delicious and the pie went down particularly well amongst guests, they kept the day flowing, breakfast on the Sunday was great, the camping facilities were much better than we anticipated too. We had our wedding day at Humber barn in October 2025, we fell in love with Humber the moment we first arrived for a viewing, the converted barns are decorated beautifully and really gave our day a special touch, the staff were great at replying to my emails and were always on hand if I needed help with anything, staff were polite and respectful to us and all our guests on the day, Humber really made our day special, I would highly recommend anyone to have their wedding there.

We were looked after so well and our friends and family had the best of days when they joined us to celebrate our wedding. This venue is stunning; the space outside is wonderful.We could see all the parent relaxing as the kids were happily contained and bombing it around the space.Inside is beautiful too - with a lovely bar, great facilities and plenty of room for dancing!

We had the hog roast and it was bloody gorgeous! Pig from the farm and cooked to perfection!

We also stayed in the bell tents and shepherds hut - and friends were able to camp and bring their camper vans. The bell tents were so comfy and massive inside. It was fab to not have to worry about bedding too. Great facilities and I have top day the most amazing view to wake up to. Then there was breakfast - which was just next level good!!

Honestly, we had the best time and Sammy just so calm, helpful, fun and friendly - we think she’s wonderful and we’re so grateful to all the effort behind the scenes from her and the team; it really was a party of a lifetime.

We found the Humber Barn online and immediately thought the photos and write ups looked impressive, we contacted them and arranged to visit and have a look around the site and facilities to see if it would be what we were looking for. We were welcomed to the site by Sammy who showed us around the beautiful facilities, nestled on the edge of Dartmoor with stunning views over the surrounding countryside, we were instantly taken with the location and the setting. Sammy put our minds at ease going over all of the plans for the day and how she would work with us to ensure everything ran smoothly and provided really clear details on pricing and what was available with a huge array of options to choose from to ensure the whole day would be exactly as we wanted it.

Sammy continued to work with us through the several months running up to the day, going over plans for the ceremony and the wedding breakfast, through to music, seating, the band and departure in the evening. Sammy is incredibly experienced and has a superb eye for detail, which ensured the look and feel of our day was exactly as we wanted and everything in the venue would complement the theme of our day.

Sammy was so accommodating, whenever we had any questions or wanted to check anything at the venue, she would arrange for us to meet there and chat things through, go over any plans, measure things, figure out locations of items, see any of the decorations or items we might want to have in the ceremony barn or the hall and make sure everything was perfect for the day.

On the lead up to the wedding, Sammy was always available to answer any last minute details, check music playlists, check timings and ensure the day was going to run without a hitch, her attention to detail and support were second to none.

On the day of, Sammy and her team were incredible, if there was anything we needed someone was there immediately to sort it and the day "just happened" which takes an incredible amount of work! We weren't worried or concerned about anything, from assisting Rachel with her veil as she arrived, through the music being perfect, the registrar being accommodated and our handfasting ceremony being perfect, Sammy and team were there in the background making sure everything went without issue.

The food was simply incredible, and the campsite the following morning rang to the sound of people saying A) How beautiful the venue was and B) How incredible the food was - we had English Sharing Boards which had a perfect mix of scotch eggs, sausage rolls, ham and cheese with an array of bread and pickles with pickled onions and gherkins, followed by scones and jam and meringue and fruit with cream - the whole spread was fantastic and fit with our theme perfectly. In the evening the hog roast was incredible - I have had my fair share of hog roast, and this was the BEST I have ever tasted, the pig reared on the farm was so tasty and everyone had plenty to take home afterwards

Sammy and team's work wasn't finished there, when we arrived to collect everything, Sammy had got it all organised and tidied away neatly so we were able to just pack the car and do a couple of trips to home to get everything we wanted to keep.

In conclusion, we cannot recommend The Humber Barn highly enough, from the planning and ideas all the way through to the most perfect day of our lives, Sammy and the team have been amazing throughout - go ahead and book them, you will not be disappointed!
