Our wedding at Hanbury Barns was nothing short of perfect — it truly was the day of our dreams, and we couldn’t be more grateful to the incredible team who made it all happen. From the moment we first visited the venue, we knew it was something special. The grounds were stunning, the atmosphere was magical, and every detail was beautifully thought out.
A huge thank you to Katie, our amazing wedding coordinator, who went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly — from being the calm and reassuring presence we needed in the morning, to racing to our pod because Gus had forgotten his speech! She was organised, kind, and always one step ahead, ensuring we could relax and enjoy every moment. Her warmth and professionalism made the entire planning process stress-free, and on the day itself, she was an absolute star — nothing was ever too much trouble.
Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how beautiful the venue was and how seamless everything felt. From the ceremony to the evening celebrations, everything was flawless. We feel so lucky to have celebrated our day at Hanbury Barns, and we’ll cherish those memories forever.

Hanbury Barns has everything you need for the most magical wedding. We will remember our big day forever for all the right reasons. The staff are so friendly and helpful.

Cost wise, its not what I would describe as cheap, or expensive really, it's just right. it's worth every penny and they have offers & upfront payment discounts that help. You can then choose what suppliers (if any) you want to use too which helps with budgeting. Catering has different price points and so much choice. I would say it is worth every penny though, you won't find the amazing service and an exclusive use venue anywhere else for any less.

They only allow you to use their caterer which makes sense as they have the service down to a T.

We had an absolutely unbelievable wedding day and I would recommend the venue to anyone who asked.

We got married at Hanbury Barns and can honestly say it was the perfect venue for us.
From our initial planning meeting right through to the wedding day itself, our Event Manager, Helen, was absolutely incredible. She spent so much time listening to every little detail, taking the time to get to know us, our vision for the day, and the important people involved. The whole experience felt so personal, and we had complete trust in her to bring everything together, which she did perfectly.
Nothing was ever too much trouble. Whether it was making sure key people were where they needed to be, coordinating suppliers, or moving and repurposing our décor throughout the day so we could make the most of the different spaces, Helen handled everything seamlessly. Her communication throughout the planning process was outstanding, and she was always on hand whenever we needed her.
On the wedding day, Helen was there to greet us when we arrived and stayed right through until the last song of the evening. She ensured everything ran smoothly and exactly as we had planned. Even when there were a few minor hiccups behind the scenes, they were dealt with so efficiently that we were completely unaware of them at the time, which allowed us to relax and enjoy every moment.
The venue itself is absolutely stunning and was everything we wanted. So many of our guests have commented on how beautiful it was. One of the things we loved most was having separate spaces for each part of the day, which allowed everything to flow seamlessly without guests having to wait around for room turnarounds.
A huge thank you also to our Catering Manager, Tom, who was on hand throughout the day and into the evening. The food was incredible and has been one of the most talked-about parts of our wedding since. We've received so many compliments from guests about the quality of the meal and the service.
We also chose the no-corkage option, which was fantastic value and gave us the flexibility to provide exactly the drinks we wanted. Being able to serve plenty of spritz cocktails during the drinks reception and wine throughout the wedding breakfast was a huge hit with our guests and really helped create the atmosphere we wanted.
We couldn't have asked for a better venue or a better team to bring our wedding day to life. Thank you to Helen, Tom and everyone at Hanbury Barns for making our day so special. Hanbury Barns was the perfect venue for our February wedding. Everything was under one roof with a designated space for each part of our wedding day, we were even lucky enough to use the beautiful second dressing room! From the our first initial meeting the team where fantastic, nothing was too much trouble and any questions (no matter how silly) were quickly answered! Our wedding planner, Georgia, was wonderful and made sure our day ran incredibly smoothly from start to finish. The catering team again were fantastic and provided top quality food and service that perfectly reflected to day we wanted. Thank you so much for making our wedding day perfect ❤️

We had a perfect wedding at Hanbury Wedding Barn. We can't imagine our wedding elsewhere. Georgia, who was our wedding coordinator has been brilliant through our wedding process and was amazing on the day. Everyone who works at Hanbury is kind and helpful. There's lots of space in the venue to enjoy aswell.

I recently had my wedding at Hanbury Barns and it typically coincided with storm darrah! Despite this our day was absolutely perfect from start to end! Our event planner Jordanna went above and beyond in every way and we were so lucky to have her! The barns are the perfect backdrop for every season but our winter wedding was stunning. Having the barns split into 3 seperate function rooms feels like you’ve got plenty of space but not too much that your guests don’t fill it! Each room is perfect in its own way. Having access to the bridal prep room meant I was already on site and had all mine and my bridesmaids hair and makeup done there without the worry it was going to get ruined on the way to the venue. The wedding breakfast room was spectacular and laid out exactly how I wanted. In the evening the dance floor was plenty big enough for everyone also with lots of seating for the older guests without them missing out on the action. The pods on site accommodation were super cute and so convenient for us and our guests. For those overflow guests there are plenty of hotel options around close by to suit a variety of budgets. I would absolutely recommend Hanbury Barns wedding venue in a heartbeat 💓

Positives:
Beautiful setting and venue. Warm and welcoming. Professional. Cosy and warm pods. Spacious and lovely atmosphere. Great to have no corkage until 7 pm so we ordered Majestic delivery. Bar also available. Clean and modern venue. Communicative on the day.

Room for improvement:
our event manager changed multiple times. Caterers and venue are independent parties and do not communicate causing duplication. It felt disjointed and repetitive. We had to pay extra £95 for the bar to be opened in the day. We had to take all rubbish away, leftover cakes, packing boxes, flower arrangements immediately after the wedding by 10:30. Considering that we paid £5,000 for the venue hire, it did not feel like value for money. At drop off the day before, you only get 30-60 min window which is stressful. They followed most of the set up brief but there were room for improvement I.e no spoons were given for evening cakes until we asked and they gave us few wooden spoons. The cake boxes were not used or displayed for guests to take home.

We booked Hanbury just before they were taken over (if we had known we would have chosen a different location), we were promised a load of things like being able to setup the day before etc etc when we booked and when the new owners took over that was no longer the case which caused alot of panic for us.

While the team handled alot of the questions and queries, there was a lack of communication between the team as I ended up repeating myself many times over and fighting the same fires throughout the process.

On the day, while things were setup on time things were missed or not done correctly in line with the notes that I had left such as napkins on the table, signage etc. It's one of those things but could have been avoided if we could have setup the day before - especially as there wasn't a wedding. It ended up being a busy and stressful morning for me and my wedding party trying to get everything done ahead of trying to get ready.

I feel that the venue doesn't cater for DIY weddings so just be warned if this is something you did want to do, as this may not be the venue for you.

The pods were great and clean, but one of the staff was rude to my family when checking in which caused unnecessary stress for them.

On the whole, lovely venue, but improvements for DIY brides need to be considered, the team had the lists of everything that was coming to venue and how I wanted it setting up, if me and my bridal party didn't setup what we did, it wouldn't have been done in time. Apparently the tables weren't set-up in time when the ceremony finished either. Especially if there isn't a wedding the day before, you should be allowed to setup as much as you want or need to. As it was so stressful when it didn't need to be!!

I couldn't recommend hanbury barns enough, from the moment we looked around right up to our special day was just amazing.
