We dragged our wedding out over the whole weekend and Glebe House Cottages could not have been more accommodating! It really was the perfect venue for us - you must see it in person, it's so much better than the photos!

We hired all the cottages along with the venue from Friday-Monday so that we could really enjoy our special day. The cottages are all lovely, with different layouts and bedrooms that fitted our group perfectly. We chose to use Granary and Little Barn (which interconnect) for our bridal party getting ready space, while the groom & co were on the opposite side in Old Stables and Coach House - this worked so well as both areas have lovely indoor and outdoor spaces for pre wedding photos. The courtyard in the middle of the cottages was also such a lovely private space for our family meal the night before.

We booked the venue on the day we toured around it because Jay and his parents were so warm and genuine. We had total faith in Jay's vision for the barn which was only foundations when we booked and loved seeing it come to life over the next 18 months. He welcomed us to visit the venue anytime (at no additional cost as with other venues!!!) and every time we visited the gardens were also totally immaculate thanks to Gary and his team. The oak beams in both the ceremony room and reception area are particularly stunning - it feels so natural and the lighting can be changed to suit any style. The barn reception area fitted our 120 guests comfortably on round tables that were set out ready for us to decorate the day before. There are also beautiful outdoor festoon lights everywhere that made it feel so romantic and magical after sunset.

The caterers (Coast & Country) come with the venue hire and all of our guests commented on how good the food was - we chose canapés and the 3 course wedding breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble for the chefs, they made an outstanding set meat menu, an entire vegan menu and also catered to GF guests.

Natalie was our "on the day coordinator" - but she was so much more than that! Throughout our planning process she was always there if we needed anything, easy to communicate with leading up to the wedding, prompt at responding to our many questions via email and helped us to bring all of our fun ideas to life. She made sure during our final meeting that all the timings were clear and went through every detail with us to make sure we had everything we wanted. Natalie met us the day before once we had finished setting up to have a "rehearsal" which was amazing as we felt so much more relaxed knowing what would happen during our ceremony (which was lead by a council registrar) - it was also great for my little flower girls to have a practice walking down the aisle! On the day we felt like the guests of honour as Natalie had everything in hand. She helped guide our guests to different areas of the venue and made the whole day feel smooth and effortless. I'm sure she did so much more behind the scenes and I loved her dedication to a good spreadsheet!

The next day we had a BBQ in the beautiful gardens and invited all of our guests back for more. The heated outdoor pool was definitely a hit as well as the children's play park.

We had such a fab wedding day and can’t thank the Glebe House team enough, especially Natalie our wedding coordinator who did everything she could to make our day the best it could possibly be!

We got married at Glebe House Cottages in August 2023. It was an incredible day, matched with incredible service and a breeze to book and plan.

The venue looks great in photos, but is far better in real life! Every corner you turn it just gets better.

The location is also perfect, we both went for a dip in the sea the morning of the wedding, and all our guests that were not staying on site had plenty of options for accommodation in Bude (+ a few camped on site as well!)

We booked out the entire place and had all our friends and family come back the day after for pasties, coffee, and a dip in the pool. It was a lovely way to wrap up such a memorable weekend.

Jay was AWESOME. He was so helpful and friendly throughout the planning process and everything on the day went to plan and happened smoothly without us needing to be involved. Where we wanted things to be personal for us, he was flexible in helping us make it happen, and where we didn’t want to think about the extra details, he just made it happen in the background.

One of our favourite parts of the whole process was spending a weekend at Glebe house cottages ahead of the wedding and trying all the food and wine. A very memorable weekend.

Great customer service from Jay and his whole team at Glebe for our wedding everything ran smoothly and nothing was too much for them. The venue itself is stunning and all of our guests loved it.

Glebe house cottages is a beautiful wedding venue that is very reasonably priced. We were able to alter their package to our numbers and include personalised touches. The other great thing is that there were no hidden costs like a lot of venues!

We went for Glebe as we wanted somewhere where we could use the whole weekend for the wedding. We paid the the cottage accommodation Friday-Monday which meant we could have a BBQ and meet all of our family as they arrived on the Friday and that on Sunday we could have chilled day, lounging in the pool, after the wedding. A lot of other venues require you to be out by 10am on Sunday whereas Glebe allowed us to enjoy the whole weekend with all al our family and friends staying too!

In addition to the accommodation being on site, the whole wedding itself takes place on site. There are multiple areas where you can get married and then there are areas for games and the marquee for the breakfast and reception. On the day, Glebe were flexible and we were able to get married outside by the pond and they helped us move all of the ceremony chairs outside which was lovely. The grounds are also absolutely stunning so make for beautiful wedding photos.

The caterers that Glebe use are phenomenal. We were able to design our own wedding menu with meat and vegetarian options whereas other venues charge extra for this and usually offer set menus only. The quality of the food was incredible.

The team were generally very responsive and always helpful to make our wedding personalised and Glebe does not feel like a 'wedding factory' like some other venues do!

We are super grateful for the whole team at Glebe for giving us the wedding we dreamed of. If you are looking for a venue that is beautiful, flexible, personal, all in one place, has accommodation, can be hired all weekend and is also dog friendly, then Glebe is the place for you!

I stayed at glebe house cottages for my daughters wedding .
The cottages were nice , a bit tired but nice . There was plenty of room for the 3 of us that stayed in 1 cottage .
The setting is great , I can’t fault that .
I can fault the state of the mattresses though . Mine were covered in old urine stains , there had been no attempt to clean them they had dark brown stains . When I complained to Jay about this I was told they are only stains , I was strange for looking at the mattress , mattresses last 8 years and that there was mattress protectors on the bed . I’ve seen cleaner mattresses on the street . They put another mattress protector on and a clean sheet , as the last one was stained .
They thought that was adequate . I disinfected the mattress put on the protector, sheet and folded the quilt in half to lay on . I still didn’t feel comfortable knowing what I was laying on . I left it at that as I didn’t want to ruin my daughters wedding.

Jay and his family were fantastic hosts for our wedding last weekend. On the run up to the wedding and on the weekend itself they were so helpful and made our special day, nothing was too much trouble.
Glebe house and cottages is a beautiful venue and allows accommodation for some guests onsite. We chose this venue due to being able to host the wedding over two days and having family onsite. They were flexible in the order of our plans and what we wanted to do and open to suggestions. The venue has beautiful gardens and allowed us to have a relaxed wedding party. Dancing under the stars was something we shall never forget. Would highly recommend this venue.

My bride and I loved the aesthetic of the venue. Upon first visit all the way up to the morning after our wedding day was infinitely made better, easier, and more rewarding thanks to our hosts.
Jay and Sarah quelled any worries and confusion we had leading up and their service on the day was flawless and seemingly effortless in causing our day to run smoothly.

Absolutely amazing!! We had wanted a combination of formal and relaxed for our day, and stress free which is *exactly* what we got. With accommodation for 36 and ability to have the venue day before and day after. The venue itself is stunning, the set up was seamless, and even with torrential downpour 140 of us were dry and not affected - the organisation in the run up was clear, but not pushy. Any queries were answered quickly, and solutions provided. Swimming pool and tennis courts well used both before and after! Jay, Sarah and family could not have been any more accommodating, welcoming and reassuring. Perfect celebration venue, with almost complete freedom to do as you wish - can choose your own vendors with as much or little input/advice as you like. Stunning - thank you for the most magic few days 🥰🥰

We wanted a beautiful venue with a relaxed environment we could enjoy without sharing the space of people who weren’t apart of the wedding party to keep it as personal as possible and that’s exactly what we got. The inclusive wine tasting we had the January before the big day was lovely, the option for guests to camp free of charge the night of the wedding was a great addition that our guests loved, the cottages are wonderful and we had a lot of use of the fire pit! Jay and Sarah are excellent hosts who make you feel welcome the moment you arrive and we couldn’t be happier with the experience as a whole, Glebe House really is a beautiful place and we’re so happy it’s where we said I Do.

After 2 years of failed wedding attempts due to covid and awful suppliers, we stumbled upon Glebe house Cottages,and we are just so glad we did.

Not only was our day perfect, our weekend perfect, but the build up, wine tasting, beer festival and everything about the way we corresponded with the venue was.

I absolutely reccomend, they and the venue truly made our wedding perfect and we will absolutely be back to celebrate for years to come.

We had our wedding at Glebe House Cottages on the 7th May, the whole experience from our first show around where we were greeted with some bubbly in the garden to the wedding day where Jay, Sarah and all the staff worked tirelessly was just brilliant. Jay and Sarah helped us make our day exactly how we had pictured it, they were so organized and nothing seemed like too much trouble. The venue is truly beautiful and the large open spaces give you the freedom to have whatever style wedding day you want, with plenty of beautiful tucked away spots in the gardens too which are perfect for pictures, and for family and friends to walk around and explore. Our friends and family were blown away by the venue, it certainly has the wow factor! Thank you so much Glebe House for such a special weekend and wedding day, we couldn’t have asked for better!

I couldn’t recommend this venue enough to anyone who is looking for a venue in the country side. Jay and Sarah who run this fabulous new business are super friendly and very helpful the whole way up to the big day. They have soo much to offer and are always there for any questions or help you may need. This is the perfect location if your wanting a weekend away with the family and guests as they also offer accommodation for 30+ guests. We wish them all the best in the future.
