Our wedding at this Glyngynwydd Wedding Barns was nothing short of magical, and I truly could not have asked for a more perfect setting to celebrate such a special occasion. From the very first enquiry, the communication was excellent – every question was answered quickly, every visit to the venue was warmly welcomed, and nothing was ever too much trouble. The owner’s care and attention to detail throughout the planning process made everything run smoothly, leaving us completely reassured and excited in the lead-up to our big day. Having the entire venue privately to ourselves for the whole weekend was such a unique and special touch, giving us the chance to relax and celebrate surrounded only by our family and friends, which made it all feel so personal and intimate. The cottages and pods for our wedding party and guests were absolutely perfect – beautifully kept, comfortable, and just what we needed to make the weekend even more memorable. The setting itself was breathtaking from start to finish. Our ceremony in the woods was truly magical – the peaceful, natural backdrop of the trees created the most enchanting atmosphere and felt like something out of a fairytale. Afterwards, we had the most wonderful opportunity to capture photos in the beautiful meadow, which gave us the dreamiest, most romantic pictures that we will treasure forever. Every detail of the day flowed seamlessly, thanks to the outstanding service provided by the venue owner, whose professionalism and warmth were second to none. Everything went swimmingly, from start to finish, and I can honestly say it was beyond anything we could have imagined. It felt like our own little world for the weekend, and I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect wedding day and experience.

Llantilio House for me is the most beautiful wedding venue in Wales. Set in the shadow of the Sugarloaf mountain, it's a quintessential Welsh setting for a weekend celebration. The pool room and pool itself is a perfect central point that makes for a really relaxing environment for family and friends. It's a dry hire - which worked for us - as we enjoyed the hiring and styling process. It also allows you to put your unique stamp on the venue. But it did involve a lot of work so wouldn't be suitable for every couple and can be quite costly. On the whole, the team were a dream to work with..open to our ideas and always quick to respond.

We recently got married at Green Grove Barns, (04/10/25) and honestly couldn’t recommend it enough. From the very first visit — meeting Sera, Carwyn, Emily and Mervyn — we just knew it was the one, despite viewing plenty of other venues across South, Mid and West Wales. They made us feel completely at home, even welcoming us into the accommodation while the lovely owners were staying there themselves. We planned our wedding on just three months’ notice (totally doable!), and nothing was ever too much trouble. Every crazy request was met with a smile, and the team were so supportive and accommodating from start to finish. The accommodation was flawless — beautifully clean, comfortable, and loved by everyone who stayed. The fact that it’s dog friendly was such a bonus for us and our families, who can’t go anywhere without their four-legged friends! We made full use of the venue all weekend. The night before the wedding, we had the bar and barn open and brought in All Fired Up Pizza (Llandovery) — hands down the best pizza and the loveliest people! Nothing was too much for Sera and the team, who helped make it all so easy. On the wedding day itself, the bar staff were amazing — so organised, no queues, great cocktails, a brilliant selection of drinks (including my husband’s beloved Guinness), and even a local bottled lager which was such a lovely touch. Prices were really fair too! Our best man threw some spontaneous challenges at our “table captains” which led to a full-blown shot hunt for the bride, and the bar team were absolute legends for playing along! We also had kids’ entertainment from HP Bouncy Castles (Llandovery) set up in the outdoor barn, which went down a treat with the little ones. And we have to give a special shoutout to Sera — what an absolute legend! We genuinely couldn’t have done it without her. She was on it from start to finish, knew exactly what needed doing before we even thought of it, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. She’s an absolute credit to Green Groves and a huge part of why our day ran so seamlessly. Storm Amy was a part of our day and I hardly noticed!! 💡 Tip: Order your breakfast pastries from La Patisserie in Llandovery — they were divine and the perfect start to the morning! If you’re considering Green Grove Barns — do it! And if you get a chance, go to one of their open days. You’ll see exactly why we fell in love with it straight away. We couldn’t have chosen a better venue — it truly felt like “ours” for the weekend, and we’ll forever be grateful to everyone at Green Groves Barns for helping us pull off the most incredible celebration. I would like to thank you for making my daughters wedding day/weekend so special. The venue for the reception was fantastic and all the staff were very warm and friendly and could not do enough for us all. All the gustes were thrilled with the setting. The accomodation of all the cottages was really comfortable with loads of space inside and out, to be able to let the children run about in safe surroundings made our stay relaxing and carefree. Your 5 star rating is well deserved.

We knew Cobbles was the venue for us as soon as we viewed it! We had 38 guests - venue can hold more. The vibe of the venue is boho, laid back, cosy and homely. From the booking to the wedding day the team was so accommodating which made us relaxed for the whole experience and even more excited for the day! The team are amazing, and go above & beyond to make the day perfect. On the wedding day, everything went smoothly (if it didn't, the team hid and resolved any issues without us knowing). They moved guests and vendors smoothly from one room to another and kept the flow of the whole day in check. Accommodation: Plenty of accommodation for guests close by in Bridgend. (few minutes away) Food: The best food! We had a feast of delicious food on large platters for the wedding breakfast (they accommodate dietary requirements), evening street food was also delicious and generous canopies were served! Highly recommend! All the guests had compliments for the staff, venue and food! Do go visit Cobbles if you are considering it as an option!
