Set on the Hampshire and Berkshire border, Close to London. Near Basingstoke and Reading, Silchester Farm is an exclusive-use countryside wedding venue where 400 years of history, lakeside ceremonies, exceptional food and luxury accommodation come together across one private rural estate.

Ceremonies for up to 140 guests can take place beneath the original oak beams of the 400-year-old Hampshire Threshing Barn, illuminated by strings of warm lights, or outdoors beside the lake beneath the farm’s beautiful weeping willow. Better still, couples can keep both indoor and outdoor ceremony options open until the wedding day, allowing the British weather to make one less decision for you.
After the vows, the estate is yours to explore. Enjoy English sparkling wine and canapés across the lawns, Hen House and courtyard before moving into the Cow Shed for your wedding breakfast, speeches and evening celebration. From the Kitchen Garden and terrace to the Woodshed and Dutch Barn outdoor kitchen, different parts of the day can unfold naturally across the farm.
Food grown closer to home
Food and drink sit at the heart of a Silchester Farm wedding. The in-house chefs create seasonal menus shaped around each celebration, from relaxed sharing feasts to individually designed dining experiences.
Ingredients are sourced locally from Hampshire and within a 70-mile radius wherever possible, complemented by herbs, fruit and vegetables grown in Silchester Farm’s own Kitchen Garden.
As day turns to evening, the nine-metre bar becomes a natural gathering place, serving Silchester Farm spirits alongside locally brewed beers, English sparkling wines and a carefully selected wine collection.

With on-site accommodation for up to 47 guests, your closest friends and family can stay right here on the estate. Accommodation includes the Grade II listed Farmhouse, the converted Barn House, Granary and Silchester Farm’s distinctive hand-built Luxury Pyggies.
It means your wedding can become more than one day: arriving in the Hampshire countryside, celebrating together and waking up on the farm the following morning.

The whole day ran so seamlessly, and the team made everything feel effortless from start to finish. The food was incredible and so many of our guests commented on how amazing it was. Everyone had such a wonderful time.

The staff were professional, friendly, and went above and beyond to make our planning process seamless and our wedding day absolutely perfect. They were always responsive to our questions, which took so much of the stress out of organising everything. On the day itself, they handled every detail with care and precision, allowing us to relax and fully enjoy every moment with our loved ones.
The venue itself offers so many wonderful spaces, from the stunning barn for the reception to the picturesque grounds for photos. Our guests were constantly commenting on how amazing the venue was and how much fun they were having.

The venue itself is absolutely stunning. From the moment we first visited, we just knew it was the one. It hardly needed any extra decoration as it was already beautiful as it was and our guests were blown away by it.
