Nestled in the heart of Fife’s beautiful countryside, Backhouse Rossie is a truly unique and enchanting wedding venue that we’re proud to share with you. Offering exclusive use of our stunning grounds and charming spaces, it’s the perfect place to celebrate your love, surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty, ancient woodlands, and views stretching across to the Lomond Hills.

Backhouse Rossie Estate offers a rustic barn venue with a modern feel, which includes fairy light canopies and lots of props such as tables and chairs, a ceremony arch and a signing table. The courtyard comes with festoon lights, and is accessed from the bar area. The gracious walled gardens and lawns with views to the Lomond Hills offer perfect spaces for great photographs.

The venue provides flexible inside or outside spaces to suit you and your wedding party’s needs. Max 150 day guests and 160 evening guests. We can support our couples with a member of staff onsite at all times, return visits, and follow-up meetings during your wedding journey; we can supply a recommended suppliers list, props list, taxi and coach lists, plus great local accommodation lists.

On-site accommodation is available for separate hire for 12 people in two cottages, sleeping 4 and 8, respectively. We are located approximately 35 minutes north of Edinburgh in a pretty, rural setting but easily accessible location for Ladybank train station, Edinburgh airport, and 10 minutes off the motorway via the main A91 to Auchtermuchty village.
