Surrounded by natural beauty, the rustic former threshing barn features exposed oak beams, vaulted ceilings, and contemporary windows, creating an intimate atmosphere for weddings and celebrations.
With a capacity for up to 60 seated guests, Hawke Barn offers exclusive use of its facilities, including a private courtyard and access to the tranquil lakeside for outdoor ceremonies. The venue provides flexibility with indoor and outdoor options, allowing you to personalise your celebrations.
Hawke Barn is pet-friendly and offers beautifully renovated luxe yet quirky barn conversions for your guests. We actively encourage camping and glamping and there is plenty of parking on-site.
We do not charge corkage so you are free to provide your favourite tipple or enlist one of our wonderful bar suppliers (or your own if you prefer) Hawke Barn boasts a fully fitted professional catering kitchen, as well as accessible toilet facilities with a baby change unit for your littlest ones.
Hawke Barn boasts 5 ceremony spaces, some of which are outdoors and we are fully licensed.

A Hidden Gem in the Heart of Devon - The Perfect Intimate Wedding Venue
The venue itself is charmingly intimate – full of rustic elegance with thoughtful touches that create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Whether you’re planning a small, family-focused celebration or a more relaxed gathering with close friends, the space lends itself perfectly to a personal, meaningful day. It never felt too big or too formal – just comfortable, beautiful, and completely ours for the weekend.
One of the standout aspects was the flexibility the venue offered. We never felt constrained by a rigid structure or set packages. Instead, we were given the freedom to tailor every detail to suit us – from the layout of the ceremony and reception to the timing and choice of suppliers. The owners were incredibly supportive, always on hand with thoughtful suggestions but never intrusive, allowing us to create a day that felt entirely authentic and reflective of who we are.
If you’re looking for a serene, stunning location with a truly personal touch, we can’t recommend this venue highly enough. It’s a place full of heart, surrounded by natural beauty, and the perfect backdrop for the beginning of a beautiful new chapter.

Every one of our guests were gushing about how gorgeous the barn is and we could not agree more.
The onsite accommodation is helpful with housing some of your guests, we had immediate family stay as they made up a lot of the bridal party.
