Wow! Where do I start?! We had the most amazing wedding reception at Old Oak Farm in October 2023. Rebecca, Andy and their team are just the loveliest people. They are friendly, professional, efficient, organised and creative. Communication is absolutely fantastic - I really felt that Rebecca and I were on the same page during the wedding planning process. Rebecca is full of great ideas and suggestions, and her amazing experience in and knowledge of the wedding industry is expansive and so helpful when planning your big day. We actually booked Old Oak Farm as our reception venue before the barn had even been constructed! But we weren't at all nervous about this - we had full confidence in Rebecca and Andy's vision, and oh, what a vision it has become! The lovely, big glass paneled doors let in so much gorgeous natural Somerset light, and offer expansive views across the breathtaking countryside. The barm has lovely, high ceilings which make it feel light and airy, but not echo-y and the building retains a cosy feel at all times of the day. The massive, gorgeous fireplace is a focal point and the perfect canvas for your own decor and creativity to run wild. The dancefloor (which doubles up as the indoor ceremony area) is a great size - it never looked empty during our reception, but at the same time you weren't crammed in. The barn is decorated beautifully in a rustic style. We added a few of our own touches decor wise, but honestly you could host an event in this barn just the way it is and it would look stunning. The bar is another stunning feature of the venue, and is very well stocked! Rebecca even ordered in some pumpkin spiced rum specially to suit the autumnal pumpkin theme of our wedding. Outside, the grounds are beautifully manicured, clean and tidy without being overdone. Plenty of parking for your guests, and a handful of quirky Shepherd's Huts as well which can be rented for the night by guests. I believe that during the summer the venue also allows guests to camp, but I am a little hazy on that detail so it would be worth double checking. There are loads of beautiful spots (both inside and out) that make for gorgeous photographs (and our amazing photographers, James and Kerrie of James and Kerrie Photography took full advantage of these!), including an amazing secret garden that is lit up at night! The front of house staff on the day were all amazing - all turned out very smartly, smiles on their faces and only too happy to help. The food was absolutely top-notch - fresh, local, seasonal and cooked beautifully. We had a few special dietary requirements amongst our guests and these were met and catered for with zero issues. Rebecca and Andy were very flexible about us bringing in a couple of external suppliers, such as ParTee Time Mini Golf, and a DJ, Ben Prescott, to provide entertainment for our guests, and a coach at the end of the night to transport guests back to nearby North Curry and Taunton. I could honestly go on for pages and pages about why this stunning venue is so special and incredible! But I'm just going to round it off by saying that my husband and I and our families were blown away by the beauty of the venue and the service received from the very first enquiry via email, all the way though to the morning after the wedding. You will not regret hosting your wedding here. If you are looking for a rustic, countryside feel to your big day, then please reach out to Rebecca - you will not be disappointed!

The Stennack Farm team made the 2 years of wedding planning so worth it and we had the most incredible day of our lives. Our wedding was a fusion of Cornish and Welsh guests with 65% of the guest list visiting from the Welsh valleys. So many were excited to see “true Cornwall” and Stennack Farm helped us to provide this to our guests. The venue is light; airy & so spacious for any couples wedding plans to run wild & that’s exactly what we were able to do with Tompkins fest. The accommodation on site was perfect for our Welsh contingency include elderly grandparents and newborns who could enjoy the day and still have an afternoon nap. The back lawn was used for our ceremony and allowed guests and kids to laze out in the evening on the hay bales. The court yard was the ultimate mingling area where we hosted beer pong tournament, rattlers in the sun & able to open the venue doors to hear the music from the dj. The big lawn was ideal for our humungous photo list and the kids enjoyed the playground with the swing set making some great candid pictures. These elements and spaces allowed the guests to not feel to far away from the main building but also allow groups to have their own areas and our guests to have different viewpoints across the day. The venue feels so secluded and private making any big wedding feel intimate. The staff were on hand all day to help the guests and bride and groom with whatever we needed and helping us with suggestions or managing any problems and time delays! Would recommend again and again, mainly to be a guest at our own venue would be quite the fun experience!

My husband and I got married here on 06/07/2024 and we are still not over our most amazing day. This is the PERFECT wedding venue. Ourselves, family and friends were blown away by this stunning venue. The barns, accommodation and gardens are impeccable. The wedding package is exclusive weekend hire from the Thursday on your wedding date. This means for 4 whole days, the venue is all yours to get prepped and ready for your special day. For me, having all my wedding party stay the night before my wedding was something I really aimed for, and this came true thanks to NG. All our guests who stayed in the cottages all complimented the accommodation, it was all spotless clean and the welcome baskets full with eggs, bread, milk & other essentials were a super nice touch! We booked Norton Grounds back in 2022 and since then they are continuing to work on the grounds itself - the new Tipi is absolutely stunning!! Anna from Golden Pineapple Hospitality is honestly the BEST. Nothing was ever too much for her and she is INSANE at her job. From start to finish she was there, at the end of an email or phone call ready to help. The day ran so smoothly all thanks to her. All our guests mentioned what a massive help she was and I can honestly not fault her. Without any doubt whatsoever, my husband and I would 10000% recommend Norton Grounds, we will forever cherish the memories and wonderful experience we had here for our most perfect & dreamy wedding day.

We got married at Valleyside Barn at the end of July 2024. We literally could not be happier with our choice of venue, the barn, outdoor courtyard and grounds are stunning! The owners, Matt and Emma are so friendly, helpful and accommodating. From the moment we booked Valleyside Barn, we knew we were in very capable hands. Emma is super efficient and was always on hand to answer any queries and to provide recommendations all the way from booking up to the day itself. Prior to the wedding (and after) Matt was always around ensuring that the venue was in impeccable condition inside and out. We were blessed with beautiful weather and got married in their outdoor courtyard which is just so pretty, but there is the bonus that they have a few areas where you can get married depending on your preference and weather. We had the added pressures of getting married and planning a wedding with a small baby and two dogs. Emma and Matt went above and beyond to make everything as easy as possible. Emma ensured the honeymoon suite was ready for us all and even provided a travel cot, highchair, bouncer, activity mat, baby bath and dog bowls! Also, at the end of the evening some of our guests and children also couldn’t get a taxi at the end of the night so Matt did several trips to their accommodation to make sure they all got back safe! We literally couldn’t have asked for more. On the day itself, everything went so smoothly thanks to Emma and Matt. They made the whole day flow seamlessly, such as moving from the ceremony area to the main barn and setting up for the evening - it wasn’t even noticeable. The only downside we have is that it’s now over but we are planning on returning to stay in their glamping safari tents!

Where do we start?! Having our wedding reception at Westbarn Lodge was THE best decision we made. The lodge was ideal and spacious for both of our big extended families all of whom had a comfortable stay and a fantastic wedding weekend. It had everything we needed and more, so our families travelling from abroad did not have to worry about bringing too much with them - especially those with little ones. Barney and Pippa were easy going from the start and were super helpful throughout the year. Always on hand for our million questions. We were able to make some wonderful memories with our families the weekend of our wedding thanks to Westbarn Lodge. The venue speaks for itself with its stunning views, and unique special touches throughout the entire barn and lodge. It really made our English countryside wedding special! All of our family, guests and vendors were absolutely blown away by Westbarn Lodge and couldn't stop complimenting the venue and its surrounding views! It been almost two months on and they still can't stop talking about Westbarn Lodge!

A warm family environment, super friendly and (do anything attitude)!! I can’t recommend enough, the Carnie family are brilliant to work with and it’s amazing what you can do with the space. It made our day and our 250 guests were just as pleased.

We have just finished our wedding weekend, using Westhay for our afternoon/evening reception, and it was absolutely wonderful. My partner and I initially met Zoe over a year ago, had a good look around the premises, and Zoe was very clear in detailing what was included, how the ‘hire’ would work, and was open and accommodating with our requests. Zoe stayed in regular contact with both us, and Katie, our wedding planner/stylist, and worked closely with Katie in the days before the event and on the day itself, to ensure our wedding went smoothly and that we were happy. Zoe’s warm, friendly and approachable demeanor meant we never felt a ‘bother’, or that we couldn’t ask questions in the run up to the day. Although the venue itself is very rustic, this was exactly the blank canvas we wanted to imprint our stylists ideas onto, and there were no issues from any of our suppliers in accessing the venue, getting set up, or running services. We can’t recommend Westhay enough, and are just sad we can’t do it all over again!

[ ] Well what can I say about Dena and The Barn at Higher Beardon. We went to view the venue last August 2023 and our first impressions were wow! We put our own touch in the barn and with dena decorating it all looked stunning. Dena and her team are so friendly and helpful and went be above and beyond making our big day special to us. We wanted a stress free wedding and it sure was that. I(the bride) never got stressed because i knew everything looked incredible..Dena made sure everything was perfect for us and it was! The food was yummy and everyone enjoyed all of it. The bar had amazing choices of drinks achohol and non achohol/ soft drinks. My husband is a lorry driver and he asked dena if he could take his lorry for pictures we thought it might be too big to take but dena said yes and she organised it to be near the barn so we could get pictures. Dena and team helped us by getting a dj as we completely forgot it was bank hoilday weekend and everyone was booked but oh my the dj was incredible. He made a playlist with all our favourite songs, he played the piano when I walked down the aisle and while we were eating in the background was just perfect. I'm so glad we went with dena choice of dj. Also dena said she knew a photographer and we looked at his pictures he done for wedding before at the barn and they were gorgeous so dena helped us with all the contracting of photographer and dj. Then we needed a celebrant and of course dena said she knew one so we met the lovely hilary and what an amazing women she is. We met her 4/5 times before our big day and she listened to what we wanted in our ceremony and it was amazing no dry eye in the room. The parking was great, always someone out there to help people park and where to park even made a space for people who had leave early.. Everywhere was clean and tidy, the toilets were perfect as wasn't too far from the venue for people who couldn't walk too far. I can't recommend dena, team and the barn enough. It was an incredible day with perfect venue perfect team perfect EVERYTHING!!! Thankyou to dena and team... xx

We celebrated our wedding at court farm June 2023 and it was a glorious location. Jess couldn’t have been more helpful in the months leading up to the big day with prompt and informative replies with helpful tips and recommendations. Logistics wise they are really well set up with water access and generator for suppliers. On the weekend itself we could utilise their ladders etc for setup and we’re a very friendly and calming presence. My family and bridesmaids stayed on site the night before and night of, it was such a welcoming and luxurious experience. The whole accommodation is excellently clean and decorated. We even enjoyed the new wood fired hot tub! Extra special thanks to Jess on the day for sprinting up to the field to distract the ponies so we could get some pictures in the enchanting field of golden flowers without them nibbling my dress.
