A warm family environment, super friendly and (do anything attitude)!! I can’t recommend enough, the Carnie family are brilliant to work with and it’s amazing what you can do with the space. It made our day and our 250 guests were just as pleased.

We have just finished our wedding weekend, using Westhay for our afternoon/evening reception, and it was absolutely wonderful. My partner and I initially met Zoe over a year ago, had a good look around the premises, and Zoe was very clear in detailing what was included, how the ‘hire’ would work, and was open and accommodating with our requests. Zoe stayed in regular contact with both us, and Katie, our wedding planner/stylist, and worked closely with Katie in the days before the event and on the day itself, to ensure our wedding went smoothly and that we were happy. Zoe’s warm, friendly and approachable demeanor meant we never felt a ‘bother’, or that we couldn’t ask questions in the run up to the day. Although the venue itself is very rustic, this was exactly the blank canvas we wanted to imprint our stylists ideas onto, and there were no issues from any of our suppliers in accessing the venue, getting set up, or running services. We can’t recommend Westhay enough, and are just sad we can’t do it all over again!

[ ] Well what can I say about Dena and The Barn at Higher Beardon. We went to view the venue last August 2023 and our first impressions were wow! We put our own touch in the barn and with dena decorating it all looked stunning. Dena and her team are so friendly and helpful and went be above and beyond making our big day special to us. We wanted a stress free wedding and it sure was that. I(the bride) never got stressed because i knew everything looked incredible..Dena made sure everything was perfect for us and it was! The food was yummy and everyone enjoyed all of it. The bar had amazing choices of drinks achohol and non achohol/ soft drinks. My husband is a lorry driver and he asked dena if he could take his lorry for pictures we thought it might be too big to take but dena said yes and she organised it to be near the barn so we could get pictures. Dena and team helped us by getting a dj as we completely forgot it was bank hoilday weekend and everyone was booked but oh my the dj was incredible. He made a playlist with all our favourite songs, he played the piano when I walked down the aisle and while we were eating in the background was just perfect. I'm so glad we went with dena choice of dj. Also dena said she knew a photographer and we looked at his pictures he done for wedding before at the barn and they were gorgeous so dena helped us with all the contracting of photographer and dj. Then we needed a celebrant and of course dena said she knew one so we met the lovely hilary and what an amazing women she is. We met her 4/5 times before our big day and she listened to what we wanted in our ceremony and it was amazing no dry eye in the room. The parking was great, always someone out there to help people park and where to park even made a space for people who had leave early.. Everywhere was clean and tidy, the toilets were perfect as wasn't too far from the venue for people who couldn't walk too far. I can't recommend dena, team and the barn enough. It was an incredible day with perfect venue perfect team perfect EVERYTHING!!! Thankyou to dena and team... xx

We celebrated our wedding at court farm June 2023 and it was a glorious location. Jess couldn’t have been more helpful in the months leading up to the big day with prompt and informative replies with helpful tips and recommendations. Logistics wise they are really well set up with water access and generator for suppliers. On the weekend itself we could utilise their ladders etc for setup and we’re a very friendly and calming presence. My family and bridesmaids stayed on site the night before and night of, it was such a welcoming and luxurious experience. The whole accommodation is excellently clean and decorated. We even enjoyed the new wood fired hot tub! Extra special thanks to Jess on the day for sprinting up to the field to distract the ponies so we could get some pictures in the enchanting field of golden flowers without them nibbling my dress. We were sold from the minute we found Wonwood Barton, it was the perfect wedding venue for us. We wanted a barn, DIY feel venue that could house some guests, offer camping and had a relaxed feel. That is exactly what we got. The venue is so beautiful that it doesn't require much decoration and there are so many different areas around the courtyard that we were able to use for different purposes. This meant that our photos were great too. We used the summer marquee in the green field package which meant that we could have a great party and were lucky enough to be able to get married outside. Bill, Claudine and Will were so helpful along the way and Bill helped to show us how to set up the tables the day before. Having the venue for the whole weekend meant that we could enjoy the beautiful scenery the night before the big day and get set up for the wedding too! I really can't reccomend Wonwood Barton enough, it holds a special place in our hearts now!

We had the most amazing weekend celebrating our wedding with our friends and family. Katherine & John were incredibly helpful and The Oak Barn is a beautiful venue. We loved the flexibility of being able to use suppliers of our choice and we were able to decorate the Oak Barn as we wanted. The accomodation available for family to stay was fantastic. Thanks again for a great weekend.

We absolutely loved Boconnion - it was exactly what we were looking for and we felt so lucky that we found it! We really wanted somewhere our guests could enjoy the full weekend, and absolutely loved the fact it had a pool - the Friday night pool party was a hit! We were very lucky with the weather which meant we got to use the grounds to their fullest. The manor house was the perfect place for the girls to get ready, and the boys loved the barton with pool table & hot tub. The barn was beautiful, so we didn't need to add much decor for it to be what we had envisioned and the team were amazing and always on hand to help - Caroline was an incredible planner, and her and Rick plus the bar team went out their way to ensure everything was perfect.

From the initial venue look around to the day after the wedding, Nancarrow Farm and its team were a dream. Nothing was too much trouble, they were all friendly and so happy. The food was delicious, the accommodation was divine. We have had and continue to have so many compliments from guests about the venue and food. Cannot recommend enough.

My husband and I got married at Waterside Country Barn in June 2023. It’s hard to put into words just how magical our day was because of this beautiful venue and the amazing team that run it. Its location is gorgeous and feels very remote, when in reality it’s easy taxi distance to Wellington or Taunton for your guests. The gorgeous barn and lake give ample opportunities for ceremony and reception options. We had our ceremony outside on a sunny day, and it was all we’d dreamed of, followed by a delicious Mediterranean BBQ feast in the barn, seated on long tables that my bridal party and I had loving decorated the day before. As one of the greatest joys of the venue is that you’re not on a wedding merry-go-round, one wedding in, another out with strict timings. No, you get the venue the day before and morning after your wedding, to decorate, spend time with friends and family and generally settle in. It’s lush! We wanted a relaxed, happy day with all of our friends and family and that’s precisely what we had. Now for Georgia and her team. Georgia is the owner/wedding co-ordinator at the venue and is loveliest person you’ll meet. She is so knowledgable about her venue and how you can get the most out of it. Which is easily done, as we had 4/5 planning sessions in the run up to our wedding with Georgia at the venue, which was so useful for me. I know some venues only offer 1, and some none at all. But by having so many sessions we got to know Georgia so well and venue, that by the time it came to our day it felt so familiar and we were so comfortable there. Georgia and the venue offer so much flexibility with their options that you can truly make your day yours. From table layouts, welcome drinks options, food options, evening entertainment, ceremony decoration and everything in between, can all be tailored to precisely how you want it. Georgia and her fab team will then take amazing care of you on the day itself and ensure that everything goes off without a hitch, and if there is one - they’ll fix it for you! We had such a special day because of Georgia and her team and how ease they made us feel. I truly can’t say enough great things about them.
