We came to Stephanie and the Loversall team with a vision for a rustic but classy day where we could DIY as much as possible, dress the venue ourselves and let our personality shine through. We then required a large space for the evening where we could have a huge party for up to 250 guests. Loversall gave us full reins for their wonderful site including the set up of an outdoor ceremony, elegant barn for the wedding breakfast and party barn for our night celebrations. This really felt like we had 3 venues in one! As this has not been done before, the team came up with amazing ideas to bring this to life including providing a tractor trailer to transport our guests which was a highlight of the day for all - lots of music and fun. Nothing was too much to ask. It was important to us to involve our guests and the team were more than happy for us to use all our own suppliers - djs, 2 bands and even our equipment. The team felt like a part of the party and our guests loved every moment. The privacy of the party barn meant we could agree a very late curfew which has us partying until 2am so for anyone wanting to carry on the celebrations for as long as you can they are so flexible to work this out for you! We had drinks packages tailored to us including creating drinks tokens for our guests at just £5 a token to ensure people got the choice for what they wanted rather than a generic drink to toast which was amazing! The garden cottage slept my bridesmaids and me before the wedding and was a highlight for me - such a beautiful space to wake up to and made the morning a breeze! I cannot thank the team enough for all the details behind the scenes that just came through so seamlessly to allow me to enjoy my day stress free. 100% wish we could relive this all over again. Completely got the vision and bounced off our relaxed but big party ideas. Main point! Our dog Copper was a part of the day start to finish - completely dog friendly and roamed the day like she owned the place with no lead way into the night!!

Olivia and the team were absolutely outstanding and we couldn’t have asked for anything more, our wedding day was perfect and we appreciated all the hard work beforehand and behind the scenes on the day to make it run so seamlessly they’re all unbelievable at what they do! The barn is stunning, food was lovely and the grounds made for the perfect backdrop to our photos.

We got married in Danby castle at the end of June and it was truly magical! The view is honestly incredible and so many of our guests said they’ve never seen a setting like it for a wedding - we are so pleased we picked Danby! Here are some of the things which really stood out for us: - the food was amazing! We did an all vegan wedding and were initially nervous about this, but we didn’t need to be - the canapés (gyozas and sweetcorn fritters) were delicious, as was the main meal - the sticky toffee pudding was INCREDIBLE!!! If you want to do an all vegan wedding - this is the place! They were also very accommodating with allergies and really took it seriously (they made our guests with nut allergies sign something but she said this felt like they were taking it seriously and reassured her). - The venue is stunning, the barn was beautiful and even at full capacity (just over 100 people in the small barn) it didn’t feel too cramped. All I would say is with that many people you can’t hear the music at all, so doing a wedding breakfast playlist was a bit of a waste and we also couldn’t hear our entrance music over all the cheering). - All the staff were so friendly and lovely. - There was never a queue at the bar - the staff were quick at serving and the drinks prices were really reasonable. - The sound limiter in the bar/dance floor part wasn’t too quiet - the music was loud and the dance floor was big enough. We wanted the review to be honest, so although we really loved our day, there are some administrative and organisational things that really need improving: - communication with staff: every time we rang we would speak to a different person (all lovely) and would often be given different answers to the same question. - We were told we could have certain drinks deals as part of a one off Black Friday deal, then when calling back to book we were told they weren’t part of the deal / they didn’t know the deals were on. - We requested 2 food options for our wedding breakfast as we weren’t having a meat option, but we were initially told no (which we felt was unfair given that non-vegan weddings would generally have 2 options with meat/veggie/allergens) but it was subsequently agreed to. - We were told because we were having a bigger wedding (around 100 day guests), staff would need 3 hours to serve the three course meal and we agreed to a timeline on that basis. However, just 3 days before our wedding, we were told that food service would actually only take 2 hours and staff suggested that we should move forward all our evening suppliers and evening guests, otherwise we’d have an hour spare. In the end, we decided to move suppliers forward but not evening guests. Then the next day, 2 DAYS BEFORE they told us it would in fact take 3 hours to serve everyone - it was too late to change plans with the suppliers at this point and fortunately we had not taken their advice regarding evening guests. In reality, food service took a little over 3 hours so our evening guests still arrived whilst we were doing speeches, which wasn’t ideal. The inconsistent communication and last minute changes so close to the wedding were stressful! - We agreed at time of booking and in the final details meeting that my bridesmaids and I would be allowed into the getting ready room at 7am (slightly earlier than usual). However, when my mum contacted the venue 2 days before the wedding, our co-ordinator said she was not aware of this request and it seemed that this would not have been done if we had not reminded the venue of it at late notice (which really would have been a disaster with hair/makeup timelines). - The venue also contacted us numerous times in the days leading up to the wedding (which was a stressful and busy time!) to say that some of our suppliers had not got back to them regarding PAT testing of electrical appliances (having previously said that they would request this from suppliers so that we didn’t have to). They told us that the suppliers wouldn’t be able to come if they did not provide this information. We had to contact the suppliers, a number of whom had told us Danby had never actually requested this Information from them and others said they’d already given it to Danby. Danby rang me at 4:30pm the day before my wedding following up about this. This seemed unnecessary and chaotic and added a lot of last minute stress. - They gave us the wrong wedding cake the next day, which wasn’t a big deal because we just went back the later in the evening and exchanged it and they were very apologetic, but worth checking it’s your cake before you leave! The other thing we felt needed mentioning was that the venue is not set up for big weddings (or at least is wasn’t in June, things may have changed?)- after all our guests had had one reception drink, they ran out of glasses and were serving drinks out of cheap disposable plastic cups. Not the vibe for a wedding or when you are paying that much for a drink! They just weren’t prepared for large numbers of guests. Overall, the communication with the venue was quite chaotic but we wouldn’t have changed the venue. It was beautiful and perfect for us, the staff are all very lovely and you’ll get the most beautiful photos and memories here!

The Tithe Barn was the perfect wedding venue and as soon as we saw it for the first time, we knew it was the going to the be place we were going to get married! The inside is so lovely that you really don’t need to do much more in terms of decoration and the views from the outside of Bolton Abbey are stunning. In the run-up to the day, the team at the Tithe Barn were brilliant, always quick to reply to emails, happy to jump on calls when needed, and really helpful with all the details. In the final weeks, they made sure everything came together smoothly and took a lot of pressure off us. On the day, Holly was an amazing coordinator. She and the team kept everything running perfectly, looked after us and our guests, and made sure we didn’t have to worry about a thing. We had so many comments from guests about how great the venue was, and the food was excellent too. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would definitely recommend The Tithe Barn to anyone planning their wedding!

Not only is this venue stunning in every way! The people are also amazing and work effortlessly with you to make your day the best it can be. Kerry and her team did everything they could to accommodate us and our guests. The venue is the perfect place to get married with so many options and even the back up plan for rain is flawless. You will get some many woodland photos of you and your guests! The accommodation is amazing with the added bonus of the hot tubs. Recommendation for this venue is off the scale!

Our day really was one we will never forget. Rachel and Will really made the process so easy when it came to planning! Rachel was always on hand to give advice and really make the planning process as stress free as possible, she really is an expert. Will really brought the fun into our planning ! Will his meticulous eye for detail and bringing all things fun at a wedding. They really make a perfect pair. The venue really speaks for itself. The atmosphere, the surroundings and the perfect layout. From the intimate ceremony space, the drinks reception on the terrace listening to your favourite singer and the most stunning wedding breakfast set up you’ve ever seen. Woodstock is everything you could wish for in a venue, nothing compares. The memories we hold of that day are priceless! Pictures do not do this place justice, our guests were in awe. We had our wedding on 21st August 2025. It was honestly the best day EVER. Wharfedale Grange is really the perfect wedding venue. Camilla was our coordinator and I couldn't have trusted her more with nailing everything on the day (and during the set-up). What a total star. Wharfedale staff know what they are doing, and they know how to make sure your wedding runs like a total dream. I have no regrets whatsoever about booking Wharfedale Grange and it will always hold a very special place in our hearts. Thanks to everyone who played a part in our day. We had our wedding here on the 30th of August, with around 80 guests during the day and about 100 in the evening and we could not have asked for a better venue! From the very beginning, the team was incredible. We had several meetings with Rachel beforehand, and she was so helpful, responsive, and attentive to every detail. She really took the time to understand what we wanted, asked us thoughtful questions, and made sure our concerns were addressed. On the morning of the wedding, Rachel even helped decorate the venue, and it turned out exactly how we had envisioned, it was perfect. The day itself ran so smoothly. Our ceremony took place in the side room, which created a lovely, intimate atmosphere. The buffet meal was fantastic, and our guests absolutely loved the hog roast in the evening. The DJ was brilliant, he really paid attention to guest requests and the music reflected us as a couple, blending Zimbabwean influences with English favourites for a truly personal experience. If you’re looking for a venue that is beautiful, well-run, and supported by a genuinely caring team, we would highly recommend this one. They helped make our wedding day everything we hoped for and more.
