Pimhill Barn at Lea Hall is a beautifully idyllic wedding venue in Shrewsbury in the Shropshire region of England.

Pimhill Barn is a historic property that dates back to 1584. Nestled on an organic farm outside Shrewsbury in North Shropshire, the venue is perfect for peaceful weddings with a picturesque backdrop. Pimhill Barn is licensed to hold civil marriages and partnerships in the barn itself. It is also perfect for an elegant wedding reception.

The rustic barn provides a large space with high vaulted ceilings, beautiful oak beams, exposed brickwork, and a wooden floor. All of these charming features come together to set the stage for your fairytale celebration. It is also adjoined to a traditional brick cart shed with open arches, providing a covered outdoor area for open-air gatherings

Weddings can be held on Saturdays or midweek on Wednesdays.

Pimhill Barn has a seating capacity for up to 150 guests, or 250 or more if you wish to join a marquee onto the barn. Pimhill Barn is a completely 'blank canvas' - you are free to choose all your suppliers so that you can have exactly the wedding you have imagined. There is also no corkage charge. A full list of recommended local suppliers can be found on the Pimhill Barn website, covering everything from tables and chairs to flowers and food.

Amazing venue

We had such an amazing wedding at pimhill barn,

If you want the freedom and independence to do things these guys are great, they checked in to see if we were okay setting up and just left us to it!

Gives you a chance to have exactly the wedding you want!

The most beautiful day!

We had our wedding at Pimhill Barn in November and it was the most beautiful wedding venue! We fell in love when we first visited over 2 years before and met the lovely family that runs the site. Everyone was very helpful and welcoming. The venue gives you the freedom to be able to have the day exactly how you want, which makes it so unique! All of our guests commented on how beautiful the barn and setting were, and how perfect it was for the day we had planned. Thank you for everything!

An amazing venue

We held our wedding at Pimhill Barn in August 2023 after deciding we wanted to design our own day. The venue comes bare so you need to source your own lights, tables, decorations etc. Luckily there is a massive list of recommended suppliers to help you! The venue comes equipped with an industrial kitchen and a ceiling mounted spot light system

As part of the booking you get accommodation on site in The Courthouse which is a stunning one bedroom cottage.

The courtyard outside the barn is enormous and we used it to hold our bar and some outside Tipis for guests to sit under. There is also ample space for guests to park onsite overnight and the venue is handily close to Shrewsbury town and the Mercure Albrighton Hotel.

If you are looking to lay on an event that is a bit different then I would highly recommend Pimhill Barn. The barn is a beautiful Tudor timber and brick structure that you can decorate to make your own. The barn itself is such a stunning backdrop that it doesn't actually require much in the way of decoration to bring it to life.

Perfection.

Ginny and Ian were fantastic from start to finish when we booked our wedding at Pimhill Barn. Nothing was too much trouble and they were so reassuring and calm when we were running around sorting out the barn on the day before the wedding, just what you need.

Both me and my now husband fell in love with Pimhill as we could do exactly what we wanted to make the day our own. Along with the fact that the setting, gardens, accommodation and barn are breathtaking. All our guests were wowed by the venue. Thank you Ginny and Ian.

Our Perfect Day

We fell in love with Pimhill Barn from the minute we found it in our google search engine. Our 2 year wedding anniversary is tomorrow and it is a time to reflect on the most amazing day at a very special and unique venue. Ginny, Ian and all of the suppliers that are recommended were nothing but helpful, professional and made us feel so comfortable. All of our guests agreed that every part of Pimhill allowed us to show ourselves in the best way possible. The weather was perfect, food,drink, dancing, accommodation and ticked every box. We both wish we could do it all over again!!!!

Perfect venue to start married life

Pimhill is licences to hold marriages at the venue so we were able to host the whole day in this perfect location. The barn provides a blank canvas so you can shape the look and feel of your wedding to your personal dream. The recommended suppliers who have previously worked their provides a great place to start and we used several of them to provide the services we needed - all worked together to ensure a smooth day. Pimhill provides the barn for your guests, but also a bridal house to ensure a relaxed start for the bride and a place for the newly married couple to collapse after a busy day. There is also a large room available away from the barn, but connected, that you can use for a quiet zone or, as we did, for the children to have their own play area. There is plenty of parking and a large grassed area which you can use, if the weather allows, for fun and games. The gardens provide a beautiful backdrop for the wedding photos. Ginny and Ian were very helpful in making the day go smoothly and trouble free.

We would highly recommend this venue.

We love Pimhill Barn

We decided to hold our wedding at Pimhill Barn after looking at many venues that we felt were too restricted and too planned. When we walked into the barn we took one look at each other and said this is it! its really a blank canvas to do whatever you can dream of! From the moment we contacted Ginny we loved her care free attitude and how accomodating she was. The fact you can have the barn the day before the event was great it meant we could set up everything stress free. The Courthouse accomodation is beautifully decorated we didnt want to leave! Thank you for letting us create a wedding we will never forget Mr and Mrs Small

Just perfect!

Dave and I were married at Pimhill on 2nd August this year. We wanted a blank canvas to make our own, the barn was absolutely perfect for this. The stunning location combined with the beautiful exterior of the barn certainly gave our guests the wow factor!
Ginny was so accommodating and easy to contact which is all you can ask for during the run up to your big day! We used some of the recommended suppliers on the barn's website who were, true to their review, amazing!
I cannot recommend Pimhill enough!

Simply Stunning Venue! Sarah and Stefan's wedding.

Perfect venue!

We honestly couldn't have been happier with our wedding at Pimhill Barn! Wonderfully relaxed, welcoming owners who genuinely want you to enjoy your day and couldn't do enough to help us, no extreme 'rules and regulations'.

Amazing venue

We held our wedding at Pimhill and it was perfect. A beautiful blank canvas that we could make our own. Ginny was so welcoming and helpful and flexible with us during our wedding planning so we really felt like Pimhill was a part of us by the time our wedding cake around. A special place. We celebrated our fifth wedding anniversary this year.

Pure perfection

We got married here 5th August 2017 and I can honestly say that nowhere would have been as perfect as Pimhill Barn.
Ginny is the most lovely woman and so helpful, also genuinely happy for us.
We had the ability to put our own stamp on the barn, we were recommended excellent suppliers and the courthouse was the best place to get ready in AND stay the two nights after!
We will definitely be returning in the off season to celebrate in what is now our favourite place on earth!

Magical Venue

Pimhill barn is a magical wedding venue. The barn is old, beautiful and rustic but a blank enough canvas to personalise it and make it your own. The grounds are amazing, and Ginny and Ian are perfect hosts, giving enough guidance without being intrusive, extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble. They have recommended suppliers on their website but you are not made to use any of these if you do not wish....but in saying that they have an excellent relationship with many of them and we used many of the services recommended and we were not disappointed. We were able to decorate the venue as we wished, have what food and drink we wanted, have the band we wanted and also have our dogs there too. The accommodation was also a lovely place to stay the night before the wedding and on our wedding night
Our whole wedding was stress free and was perfect in every way. If we could do it all again, we would and we wouldn't change a thing. We got married there over a year ago and guests still talk about our wedding day saying that it was the best wedding that they had ever been to. That was thanks to a fantastic venue and owners.

NYE wedding 2014

We booked our New Years Eve wedding with only 4 months notice. We couldn't have picked a better venue. We were one of the first to stay in the beautiful accommodation, we were able to do exactly what we wanted including dragging in a 12ft Xmas tree and parking a pizza van outside, and Ginny was so lovely and welcoming and helpful with recommending suppliers. This is truly a DIY venue and an absolute gem. Cannot recommend it highly enough!

Wonderful day

We had he most wonderful day at Pimhill Barn. The owners as so flexible and relaxed, we were really able to make the day our own.
The added bonus of being able to stay on site for our wedding night was fantastic!
Couldn't recommend highly enough.

We tied the knot at Pimhill ourselves in 2019, having completely fallen in love with its picturesque setting, its historic charm, and the freedom it gave us to create a day that felt entirely our own. Fast forward to 2025, and in a wonderful twist of fate, the very person who first introduced us to Pimhill, Ginny, entrusted us with her beautiful barn and family home.

We are incredibly excited and proud to now share this special place with other couples as they begin journeys of their own.
