Gaynes Park is an elegant and stylish barn wedding and reception venue set in a historic private estate. It is approached up a long entrance drive through park and farmland with sweeping views over the London skyline. Just 10 minutes from the M25 and M11, Gaynes Park is one of the most beautiful exclusive use venues in Essex. From the moment you arrive you will be enchanted by the outstanding facilities, relaxed elegance and beautiful surroundings that Gaynes Park offers.
The Orangery, set within the walled garden, with its long garden ‘aisle’, was built on the site where a Victorian conservatory once stood. Its wooden beams and many windows create a light filled space and contemporary setting for your civil ceremony or partnership. Afterwards it is an ideal setting in all seasons for drinks receptions.
The listed Mill Barn is an impressive setting filled with natural light. Up to 150 guests can be seated for your wedding breakfast and up to 200 for the evening reception. It is supported by four old tree trunks, has floor-to-ceiling windows, a mezzanine level and a licensed bar and dance floor. Outside the Mill Barn, the open-sided Gather Barn provides a covered area where you can hold an outdoor civil ceremony or partnership, or have a barbecue in the evening.
The charming Apple Loft Cottage awaits your arrival and can be used before the ceremony to get ready in and at any point during the day to freshen up.
The Coach House, located nearby, is available for you and your guests, if required, on the night of the wedding. With 10 luxurious en-suite bedrooms and a stunning large reception area with comfortable seating and dining area to enjoy breakfast the next morning.
Gaynes Park are delighted to announce that they are now taking bookings for show rounds. To arrange your private show round, please call 01992 660329.

Shameful Wedding Venue Operator
“I just want to echo Katie P's comments on the 05/08, we have had a very similar experience to her unfortunately.Sent on 12/08/2021
We pushed our wedding day back from August 2021 to August 2022. We have had our own enduring-nightmare dealing with Gaynes Park over numerous issues concerning our wedding.
We know many friends who have been so impressed with their own venue & how they’ve dealt with Covid by offering the support & flexibility required to come to a joint solution. Gaynes Park have distanced themselves from us, we only communicate with a third party who is representing the venue. It’s abundantly clear they are putting their own financial interests first before any clients (Clients: any unfortunate couple who went with Gaynes Park throughout Covid)
Gaynes Park have only offered us the option of getting married on a Monday to Wednesday in August 2022 even though we have been invoiced at a substantially higher rate (Sunday wedding). If we had of originally confirmed a Monday – Wednesday wedding we would have saved multiple thousands, yet due to Covid we are now expected to pay a small fortune to get married early in the week.
To compound our frustration, there are 2 Thursday’s available in August 2022. Gaynes Park have informed us that these dates are for new bookings only. It’s a form of profiteering to manoeuvre postponed weddings from 2020 to an undesirable early weekday & expect us to put up with paying the original weekend (Sunday)rate!
The venue has upset numerous couples (do some research online) and it appears, the few couples who managed to negotiate a compromise is those that have sought out legal representation. A few people I reached out to had signed into a non-disclaimer confidentially agreement with the venue (after initially posting negative reviews).
It's a shame it's come to this, but Katie P is 100% correct, Gaynes Park have handled Covid so poorly & I would ask anyone considering getting married at this venue in future, to do some thorough online research prior to committing.
Gaynes Park's reply:Thanks for your feedback. As ever we take any comments seriously to learn for any improvements.

Beyond our wildest dreams!
We got married at this amazing venue on 13th August and I just have to say a massive THANK YOU to everyone involved. The day was more than we ever dreamt it would be, Donna and Victoria and all of the staff we absolutely out of this world with their support and kindness. The food was incredible, the atmosphere was amazing, people have not stopped raving about the venue and what an amazing day it was. Honestly our dreams came true and I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day x

The whole day was terrific
The whole day was terrific and so many guests said it was the best wedding they'd ever been to. We put a lot of effort into planning the day and the team did such a great job bringing it all to life for us.Sent on 15/05/2019
We wouldn't recommend a venue for the most important day of someone's life unless we had every confidence in it. We would not hesitate to recommend Gaynes Park as a venue because we know that any wedding held there would be fantastic.
