Couldn't recommend enough. It was slightly more expensive than some of the other venues we looked at, but well worth the money for the service and quality we received. All the staff were so helpful and were quick to respond to any queries we had throughout the planning and on the day. We've had so many comments about all the food we had (canapes, 3 course meal and evening food), with lots of people saying it's the best food they'd ever had at a wedding. Guests liked that they had two options to choose from for each course and dietary requirements and allergies were well catered for. Everyone left with a full stomach!

We got married in 2018 at the Gathering and had the most fantastic experience. The location is fantastic and the space available is exactly what we wanted for our wedding. We managed to get married outside and then had the food inside as it got cooler. We couldn't recommend this place enough!

We had the most magical wedding day at Mapperley Farm, we couldn’t have wanted for anymore from them. Rosie and her team were incredible, kept in contact with us from start to finish and was always there to answer any questions we had. There was a little hiccup on the wedding day regarding our DJ not bringing his lights and Rosie stepped in to help solve this straight away without us even knowing it had happened! This venue is extremely reasonably priced, and is 100% worth every single penny. Your wedding day can be tailored to how you want it, without any restrictions in place that we had seen at lots of other venues we looked at. This meant that all of our dreams could come true on our wedding day, it truly was incredible. We would recommend this venue to anyone, especially having your ceremony down in the woods as this was really really magical xxx

From the moment we considered the Olde barn for our wedding, we knew we had made the right choice. As the bride, I had a very clear vision of the atmosphere I wanted to create and Sharon and Lydia were both very considerate of my wishes. Throughout the process I found the team were incredibly helpful, supportive and professional. The Olde barn is great value for money and the food is first class, as is the service and we felt it was very good value for money. We would not hesitate in recommending the Olde barn for a wedding.

From the first moment we stepped inside the venue we knew we had found what we were looking for. We wanted somewhere out of the ordinary, not just a room in a bland hotel, somewhere people would talk about for years to come, and DPF is definitely that. We decided to use the Hitching Room for the ceremony and the Barn for the evening reception, and we absolutely loved the pig sties for the wedding breakfast. The rustic decor is a beautiful background to the day and lends itself well to whatever theme you choose. We were incredibly lucky that the weather was really warm so we were able to make the most of the beautiful grounds for photos, drinks and socialising well in to the evening. It helped to create the laid-back relaxed day that we wanted with our guests. The wedding breakfast was delicious - beautiful roast pork from their own farm. And the evening buffet was plentiful with such a variety that everyone was catered for. I had one of everything as I couldn't resist anything! The staff were so helpful from the first meeting we had with them and we always felt in incredibly safe hands. I broke my leg in the run up to the wedding and the staff were so supportive and really helped to make the day go smoothly for me with their guidance. We looked at lots of the rooms to pick the one we wanted for ourselves and they were all beautifully decorated and so comfortable. Again, the staff were really helpful in suggesting the room that would be best for me with my limited mobility and made sure i was looked after. I will always have such warm memories of this place, not just because it was our wedding day, but because the venue is very special.

What can we say, we absolutely loved Elsham Hall as our venue. It is a truly beautiful place, from the gorgeous grounds, the beautiful buildings its just a fabulous setting. The recent renovations have really elevated the venue but has not taken away from its historic structure. There is a bridal prep room which is just beyond anything you could wish for, a wonderful space to get ready I was blown away. The venue comes with Heidi, well this lady is a game changer, she helped us plan and organise and made us feel like the most special couple. She really listened to us and appreciated what we wanted as a couple. She suggested great suppliers and we can not thank her enough!! We had the most amazing experience and have made some wonderful memories, thank you x

An absolutely beautiful venue. It gave a very elegant barn vibe with amazing natural lighting in the ceremony rooms for that magical feel. The accommodation for the bridal party the night before also gave that ‘second hen do’ vibe for a memorable night before the wedding. At the time of viewing there was a minimum ‘guest numbers’ that had to be met which was difficult for us as we wanted a more intimate wedding, we did ask if this could be met by a ‘minimum spend’ instead (I.e. spending more on food etc. to cover the smaller number of guests) but were told that wasn’t a possibility unfortunately

TL;DR: We could not recommend this venue strongly enough. Seriously, look no further everything is INCREDIBLE. We got married on the 28th November 2025. Throughout the planning process, we had Georgia helping us through and giving us all of the assurance needed to get it all right. We didn’t want a ‘huge’ wedding, it was a borderline stretch to get 50+ people and we were worried about ‘rattling’, but in the end we had 56 (including Bride & Groom) and it was perfect. The venue is so well equipped for smaller or larger weddings. The staff at the venue are so incredible in their responsiveness you wouldn’t believe it. We made numerous changes to our quote, asked for various ad-hoc and unusual things and they were all accommodated for. It gets to the point though where you worry you’ve changed too much and details get lost. OH NO No, they make sure the quote is updated in the portal straight away so you can refer back and make sure all is captured. The system is flawless and takes away so much stressor the planning. The venue provides a list of approved vendors who are all familiar with Hazel Gap. We used almost all of these and they really are fantastic, the venue does not recommend people lightly. Well worth looking into for DJ, Photographer, Accommodation, Taxis the lot. NOTHING is ever a bother to the staff, they bend over backwards and then some for every couple that walks through those doors. The venue itself is nothing sort of drop dead beautiful. You seriously need to see it to believe and even then, it looks 10x better on the day itself. The team that puts that together, making your ideas & dreams a reality really are miracle workers. We barely left any plans for the venue (probably to their dismay) but they absolutely smashed it. The whole team on the day, lead by Georgia (Day manager) and Jodie (night manager), were faultless. From arriving to the venue, throughout the day & night. Last minute changes, keeping the day on track but also allowing it to flow naturally is an underrated skill but the team never fell short. Always professional, calm & collected - the weight they take off your shoulders is ridiculous. For example, we had four guests having to leave early (before the meal). The tables were of 8 people so it meant we’d be missing half a table with just two couples left. I told Georgia on the fly about 10 minutes before the meal and she just nodded and said “No worries, I’ll sort it”. No joke, we sat down and looked around and said “which table was it?”. Georgia had very quickly sorted a few seating changes to the point no one even noticed, let alone us! I was in awe, I couldn’t believe it. I could waffle on all day about how fantastic the food was, the team were, how beautiful the venue is and what not. Our day wouldn’t have been anywhere near as perfect without the hard working team that comes with this venue. I cannot recommend them enough and if you’re so lucky to end up with Georgia or Jodie (I’m sure the others are fantastic but these were ours), you couldn’t be in better hands. We are forever grateful to Cripps and Hazel Gap for working so hard and making our day effortlessly flawless. I wish I could do it all over again.

From enquiry through to saying goodbye the day after our beautiful wedding the team at Granary Barn were absolutely amazing. The venue is stunning and was just the right size for us (56 daytime and 100 evening guests). Change over from ceremony, to wedding breakfast, to evening party was extremely slick. The staff were fantastic and we couldn't have asked for more support, guidance, professionalism and fun. Planning and prep was super easy and the day ran like clock work, because of this we enjoyed every moment. We couldn't recommend this place any more!!

Excellent value for money, we definitely got our monies worth and then some. The barn is stunning and neutrally decorated which even suited our rustic/gothic wedding theme so it's really easy to decorate to your own taste. It is on a working farm site but the event area can be closed off to allow for safety and intimacy, throughout the event there wasn't once a disturbance from the farm. The food was absolutely delicious too, it was so hard to choose from their extensive dessert list but we opted for a sit-down BBQ with the sticky toffee pudding and lemon merigne roulade for the wedding breakfast and a small finger buffet later in the evening and everyone loved it! The accommodation (2 cottages) are perfectly cosy but spacious and stunning, we hope to return for a little anniversary break next year. The team are so lovely, laid back and helpful in every way, they worked with us every step of the way to make sure our day was everything we wanted and were all round just fantastic. I'd highly recommend their services for any event, their pricing is certainly competitive within the industry but we didn't find that we had to compromise on anything as a result of spending less. Our guests had nothing but positive things to say about the venue and the team throughout the stay and we are slightly gutted the day is over as it was just so wonderful ❤️
