We got married at Crowne Plaza Leeds on the 17th of October 2025, and from start to finish, everything was absolutely perfect. We looked at a few venues before booking, but as soon as we walked into the Crowne Plaza, we knew it was the one. The stunning staircase as you enter, the beautiful ceiling light in the ceremony room, and the spacious room upstairs for our wedding breakfast and reception completely took our breath away. Harriet was amazing throughout the planning process — so knowledgeable, organised, and always happy to help with our endless questions. On the day itself, everything went exactly to plan thanks to the brilliant wedding organiser. She kept us calm and on time, even bringing me a glass of water just before I walked down the aisle (which I definitely needed!). She made sure everything ran smoothly, from start to finish. I had packed everything in boxes for each table — runners, centrepieces, name places, favours, etc. — with photos showing how I wanted them set up. The team followed this perfectly. Walking into the room and seeing it look exactly how I’d imagined was such a special moment. The evening reception was just as incredible. The DJ did a fantastic job, worked seamlessly with the Saxophonist we’d hired, and kept the dance floor full all night. We danced until the very end and loved every minute. We got married here 28/10/25 and had an absolutely amazing day, everything ran so smoothly. This venue originally showed up as a suggested place on Facebook, decided to go and view and booked same day (3 years prior to our big day) didn’t look at any other venue because this one just ticked all the boxes and was a dream come true. We didn’t do the whole white wedding, my dress was red and black, our decor was skulls, wings and red and black with some rainbow roses. Everything worked out perfectly and we got some amazing photos. If you’re going for the white wedding or an alternative wedding this has it all to make your dream day become reality. Wouldn’t have changed a thing (apart from maybe getting to do it all again because I blinked and it was over haha)

Weetwood Hall was perfect for what we were looking for. We went with the Tawny Owl package for our wedding and it was spot on. The fact that we had unique, dedicated rooms for the Ceremony, Wedding breakfast and evening reception was amazing and made it feel even more special. The planning and organisation was on-point with the team being very flexible and adapting well to some of the unforeseen situations that through timings off. They made everything work and flow so smoothly (Shout out to Jason!). The food and drink were amazing for both the wedding breakfast and the evening reception, and the bedroom for us as newly-weds was stunning! If we could do it all again at Weetwood, we would. 100% recommend!

I would 100% recommend humberveiw for any special event. It has the room, the veiw, the service the good food. Its everything in one.

The staff at Crathorne Hall are absolutely wonderful. We have heard that from almost every single wedding guest who came for or stayed at the wedding. This has also been our experience the whole way through the wedding planning process. From the first wedding event we attended (where I got lost and Elle kindly noticed and pointed me in the right direction) to a couple of days after the wedding when we called by to pick up some bits we had forgotten at the hotel. They made every moment leading up to our big day special. The menu tasting was wonderful and really gave you a sense of how the wedding breakfast would go. Aurora, our wedding coordinator, was so detail-oriented that the day ran so incredibly smoothly that most of the guests commented on it! Alan, the MC on the day, was absolutely wonderful. He somehow managed to corral all of the guests efficiently and professionally, but also in a way that they didn't feel hurried. As I say, everyone at the hotel involved in every step is wonderful. Hannah, Emma and Olivia on reception are so welcoming. Gloria is so cheerful and thoughtful, and had some special canapes kept by especially for us, so we didn't miss out. She also made sure those with dietary requirements or who didn't want prosecco had things they wanted to eat and drink with the canapes which was really thoughtful. That does really sum up how you are treated at Crathorne. They are incredibly thoughtful and pay attention to the smallest details. For breakfast they had put out some of the large wedding tables in the breakfast room so we could mix on tables for breakfast the day before and after the wedding meaning nobody felt left out and it was really precious time to catch up with people we didn't get to speak to as much as we would have liked to on the day. Bewoh was on the breakfasts and was absolutely wonderful with all of the guests and dealing with all the many dietary requirements! Early on the morning of the wedding, the tables had been set out slightly incorrectly. I went to find Aurora in the next room, and she had already noticed it and was on it. When I was coming downstairs in my dress, not knowing there were still guests in the hotel, Byron quickly ushered me into the dining room and kept an eye out until they were gone. Martin, knowing we probably hadn't had a drink since breakfast, brought my dad and me a glass of water before the church without being asked, which is exactly what we needed! When we got back, Alan and other staff ushered people around to the garden for photographs and the confetti shot and had everything organised perfectly, it all ran exactly to time! Having been to many weddings, and knowing how hard it is to keep everything on time, I was not expecting this in the least. Whilst we were in the church, the hotel had set out the lawn games we brought, photo tables, confetti, and so many other things without the least bit of direction from us, and it was all perfect. The food was incredible! I've never been to a wedding where the wedding breakfast is exactly the same quality as the restaurant food. Everyone's dietary requirements were taken into account perfectly, and everyone with dietary requirements was really impressed that the correct food was placed in front of them without the need to check who it was for. Gilmar is brilliant and made sure everyone had wine with a smile and was incredibly efficient. Everything flowed seamlessly from the food, to the speeches, to the cake cutting, first dance and more. We were really impressed that they set out the cake on the dancefloor and had everyone gather for that, as often this is missed at many weddings. I can not stress how much stress the Crathorne Team took away from us. It really was the most perfect day.

We had the best wedding day we could have imagined! The food was amazing, everything ran seamlessly to time, and the service was spot on from start to finish - all surrounded by so much love and laughter. Tyran, our wedding manager, was quick to respond and full of helpful ideas, an absolute wedding expert. He was flexible on meeting times as well which was extremely helpful for us and work schedules. Mackenzie, the operations manager, kept the day flowing with such grace and humour, always there when needed but never intrusive, he felt like part of the family by the end of the night. Big thanks also to Ed and Sarah behind the bar, who brought so much fun and energy, and to the housekeeping team who went above and beyond moving the bridal party’s chaos from our prep lodge into the honeymoon suite so it was all ready for us. The venue itself is perfect for a more intimate wedding - nestled in beautiful woodland with speckled light, reflections across the lake, and just seconds from the breathtaking Yorkshire views of Surprise Point. The photo opportunities are endless, and the setting feels both magical and personal. We’re so glad we chose local, not only for the wonderful service but also so we can come back and relive the memories. The complimentary spa access for wedding couples the month before the day was an amazing bonus, giving us time to relax together in the run-up which can be a pretty stressful time. We cannot recommend the Chevin Hotel and Spa enough - they didn’t just host our day, they were part of what made it so special. Thank you and lots of love The Reeses 🧡

We cannot recommend Hackness Grange enough! From the very moment we booked, the whole experience has been an absolute joy. Eibhlin, our wedding coordinator, was simply incredible – nothing was ever too much trouble. From late-night emails with ‘silly’ questions to letting us set up tables just to see how everything would look, she made us feel supported, relaxed, and part of the process every step of the way. Honestly, she was a huge part of why our day was so perfect. The service on the day was flawless – everyone went above and beyond, and we had countless compliments on the food and the warm, smiley staff. On the morning, the team helped us with all the little details as we were doing a lot ourselves, making sure everything ran smoothly. Even when my husband’s brother surprised us by flying in from Australia that morning, they handled it seamlessly without us even having to worry. From start to finish, the whole team made us feel cared for, calm, and celebrated. Every moment felt magical, and we truly cannot thank them enough. We will cherish these memories forever – it was, without a doubt, the best day of our lives!

I have loved Bolton Castle since I was a child and so it was something of a magical dream that we got to have our wedding here. But even better was Just. How. Amazing. the venue was on the day. The views, the rooms, the set-up, the support we got. The organisation of the wedding by the castle team was flawless from our first visit to the venue, to follow up visits, to emails in between and to the day itself. The team are so organised that you can trust them completely to handle everything - which is an amazing feeling to have on your wedding day. We knew we could trust them to have everything set up and ready for guest arrivals (they did!) and we knew they would sort everything if the weather changed last minute (luckily it didn't!). They set up the furniture so we could come in and decorate the day before, and sorted clear up so we could go home at the end of the night and collect our decorations the next day. The set the fires, they lit the candles, they laid out the marshmallows for roasting, and they co-ordinated the arrivals of the different vendors during the day. We also loved the freedom and flexibility we had to set the different rooms up the way we wanted to and they were so good about letting us bring in outside suppliers for things like archery and Scottish ceilidh dancing. But most of all, Bolton Castle is the most unbelievable backdrop for a wedding - our photos are spectacular, our guests had the freedom to roam and explore and there is so much to do and see that everyone could have spent days there celebrating! Huge thank you to the whole Bolton Castle team and most especially to Jacqui and Anne for all of your help and support. We had the best day ever.

We recently had our wedding held at Holmfield Arms and I honestly can’t express how perfect our day was! The venue is stunning surrounded by gorgeous greenery and is so serene! The team and Laura really went above and beyond for us and ensured our day was as perfect as can be. Laura made our dreams come true and tailored the day to our needs to ensure our day was exactly how we envisioned and her communication was fantastic! She really made sure everything went smoothly during the day and her fabulous team took care of everything for us, we didn’t have to worry about a thing as they made the order of the day run seamlessly. I can’t praise Laura highly enough, she really helped me with planning the day down to the smallest detail, even rehearsing walking down the aisle with me so I knew at what point I needed to start walking during my entrance song so I reached my groom at the right lyrics in the song! We had a buffet for our wedding breakfast with breakfast rolls for the evening and the food was delicious, our guests commented how great the food was! It was fantastic having the hotel on site as well as we could meet our guests the next morning for breakfast which again, was delicious. I wish we could have our day all over again, if we had our chance again I would still choose the Holmfield Arms for our venue in a heartbeat!
