Chevin Country Park Hotel & Spa is licensed for civil ceremonies, with ample space for both large and intimate wedding breakfasts and evening receptions. Modern luxury meets classic accents throughout the hotel, with plush interiors, ambient lighting, and rustic accents perfectly balanced. You can say "I do" in the romantic garden, which overlooks the lawn and lake. Indoor ceremonies are held in The Lakeside Restaurant, a stunning location that offers picturesque views of the grounds. This rustic space is the largest pine log building in England. Wedding breakfasts and evening receptions can be hosted in the restaurant also. The Woodlands Banqueting Suite has a private bar and can seat up to 100 guests.

Why We’ll Forever Treasure Our Wedding at Chevin Hotel & Spa
Tyran, our wedding manager, was quick to respond and full of helpful ideas, an absolute wedding expert. He was flexible on meeting times as well which was extremely helpful for us and work schedules. Mackenzie, the operations manager, kept the day flowing with such grace and humour, always there when needed but never intrusive, he felt like part of the family by the end of the night. Big thanks also to Ed and Sarah behind the bar, who brought so much fun and energy, and to the housekeeping team who went above and beyond moving the bridal party’s chaos from our prep lodge into the honeymoon suite so it was all ready for us.
The venue itself is perfect for a more intimate wedding - nestled in beautiful woodland with speckled light, reflections across the lake, and just seconds from the breathtaking Yorkshire views of Surprise Point. The photo opportunities are endless, and the setting feels both magical and personal.
We’re so glad we chose local, not only for the wonderful service but also so we can come back and relive the memories. The complimentary spa access for wedding couples the month before the day was an amazing bonus, giving us time to relax together in the run-up which can be a pretty stressful time.
We cannot recommend the Chevin Hotel and Spa enough - they didn’t just host our day, they were part of what made it so special.

Everything we could have asked for our wedding
From the very beginning, our wedding coordinator, Tyran, was absolutely outstanding. He was highly responsive, flexible, professional, and incredibly friendly. He supported us through every step of the planning process, thought of every detail, and truly put us at ease. We always felt in the safest hands.
On the day itself, the entire staff were fantastic. They were attentive, organised, and ensured everything ran smoothly and on time. Nothing was too much trouble, and they handled everything seamlessly so we could just enjoy our day.
The venue itself is simply stunning. All of our guests commented on how beautiful it was. The outdoor space is wonderful and really allows you to make it your own. The setting with the lake, woodland, and wildlife is magical – the ducks were particularly inquisitive and brought so much charm!
The ceremony room is gorgeous, filled with natural light, and easily adaptable to your style. It felt so personal and perfect.
In terms of value, it’s incredible. There were no additional charges for a Saturday in July – pricing is purely based on guest numbers, which is rare and so refreshing.
And the food? Absolutely phenomenal. Every single plate came back empty, and the feedback from our guests was glowing.
Thank you to Tyran and the entire team for giving us the most magical day of our lives. We will treasure it forever!
