If you're looking for somewhere a little less conventional to hold your wedding, Kelham Island museum could not be more perfect! It has an industrial charm and the reception room needs so little decoration due to its original features. The team were so helpful and did everything they could to make our day just as we wanted it. Although there are some restrictions (I believe you are limited to certain caterers due to the venue not having a kitchen, and limitations on where confetti can be thrown), the team were flexible to our wishes. Booking process was easy and we were welcome to view as many times as we needed. We had a very useful meeting with the wedding co-ordinator a week before which meant everything ran smoothly. Extra points for not having to pack up the venue yourself on the night and not having to be there super early the next day to collect things. We would highly recommend this venue - 10/10 would marry here again

We got married at Cubley Hall in October 2024. Everything from booking to arranging to the day was amazing. Sandra ensured everything ran smoothly and was very accommodating to our food and entertainment requests. Our guests absolutely loved it and it wouldn’t have been possible without the team from Cubley. The venue looked absolutely incredible. We can’t recommend this venue enough. Food is also delicious! Thank you for making our day so special. The en suite accommodation was clean and comfortable. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great place to get married and celebrate, Finlay was so helpful, and advised throughout. Finlay was always on hand by email or a call to discuss things. On the day, Kevin looked after us. We got married at 5pm, so went straight into our night do. There was another wedding on at the hotel, but that didn’t impact the service or quality. All the staff went above and beyond, even escorting the bridal party across the carpark to the venue. Nothing was too much trouble. The DJ was fab, although we had hired our own band, he was obliging with guests requests. Catering and bar staff were smart, polite and hardworking. A fantastic day, which came together brilliantly. Thank you!

Would highly recommend. Everyone was perfect. Everything was perfect. We got married here 2 weeks ago and it was fantastic. The staff went above and beyond, nothing was to much trouble. They literally couldn’t do enough for us. It is an absolutely stunning venue, big and spacious. THANKYOU

We had an amazing wedding reception at Whirlow Hall Farm. Meg and her team worked tirelessly to ensure everything went smoothly on the day and dealing with her beforehand was a pleasure. The food was excellent (and plenty) and it was great that so much of it was locally produced. The decorations (by wildweddingdays) was even better than we had imagined. If you are looking for an informal, relaxed and personal wedding reception venue, we highly recommend Whirlow Hall Farm

I could not recommend the peacocks enough, they was absolutely brilliant from start to finish. The venue is a stunning place alone and the staff are brilliant. The prices of drinks for our guests were important and they reflected that. Thank you so much for making our day so special, it means the world to us. Special thank you to Becky and Sandy.

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Tapton hall and it was the best wedding day we could have wished for. The staff were brilliant everything was perfect and the food was amazing. We can’t thank them all enough for making our day so special.

From arranging to view the Adelphi room to putting the whole day together, Ellen's communication with us was very open and quick. We booked the room a year in advance which gave us enough time to get all the details together. We had a lot of back and forth emails with Ellen approaching the day to confirm details and met with her personally 2 weeks before the day, to discuss everything. Even after our final meeting, Ellen was incredibly understanding with our late night emails to her of details or questions we forgot to raise. Working with her definitely made the wedding planning process a lot better and less stressful. We mainly chose to hold our wedding at Crucible because we were allowed to have our little Archie (our dog) for the entirety of the occasion and it was within our budget. The room has air-conditioning so although it was warm in the foyer, it was cool and comfortable where we were. The food was enjoyable although there were some delays to it so we had to wait a bit for it to be served. The rest of the staff that I met on the day were all so friendly, professional and accommodating, they honestly couldn't do enough for us. We had shots of tequila and JD honey for our toasts which they had also accommodated by request. It was a shame that it rained all day as we couldn't have photos with guests outside but luckily we only had 20 guests so we had plenty of room indoors in the foyer. The reception decorations were perfect and even better than we had imagined. 100% would recommend holding small weddings here especially if you're looking for a more laid back and non-traditional wedding. Thank you to Ellen and the rest of the Crucible staff who contributed to the success of our big day! ☺️❤️

Me and my husband got married here 2nd June and we would like to thank you and your staff for all the wonderful work you did to make the day absolutely perfect for us all. Apart from laying on the perfect weather, we found from the moment we arrived that you were on hand to help and guide us through the day. The arrangements for the ceremony, the drinks, the meal, and the evening went without a hitch. The food was delicious and the service throughout impeccable. At the end of the evening you we stayed in the Thermae Suite which was absolutely beautiful and took our breath away for sure!! We had room service and breakfast the next day and was delicious. You were still there to arrange taxis ago next day. There are always stresses and strains before these occasions but all our fears were gone and we are all looking back on the most perfect day. Please do give our sincere thanks to all involved in such a splendid result!

The were very helpful from day 1, when we were only enquiring, once we decided to go ahead to have the wedding there, they couldn't be more attentive, made sure we had everything, even recommend various companies from cakes to flowers. Whilst booking the rooms, they showed us which function rooms were available, even shown us the hotel rooms, so we know the appropriate rooms for our guests. On the day of the wedding, everything went according to plan, our wedding planner Kate Sullivan had done more than expected. The manager Mark Ilsley was the same, made sure everything went accordingly. By the morning, everybody from the hotel congratulated us, including the housekeepers. We couldn't have asked for a better and memorable wedding day.
