Hazlewood Castle is a stunning location, and we are delighted to have had our wedding there this November. The grounds and building are elegant and regal, and the rooms are comfortable and spacious, decorated to keep that regal elegance going throughout the castle. For a mid-week winter wedding, we felt we had excellent value in our package, and couldn't recommend HazlewOod more for such an event. The Castle is very old and well used, but also clearly well loved, clean and taken care of. We found our stay very peaceful and the setting is well away from the noise of any towns. The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful, especially our wedding coordinator Melissa (and our on-the-day event managers). If you are considering a wedding at any of time of year, Hazlewood has the right setting for you but we are of course particularly fond of the grand yet cosy feel of our winter wedding in the main castle.

From our first meeting at the wedding showcase to the day of our wedding, Georgia and the team at The Castle Inn were so welcoming and eager to make our day perfect for us. We knew we wanted a relaxed atmosphere, with a smaller family centred ceremony followed by a party with lots of dancing and that is exactly what we got! We didn't know where to start with planning our wedding but Georgia put us at ease and asked all the right questions to help us piece together what mattered most to us and also make sure we hadn't missed anything. Our hopes for a less formal day were embraced by everyone and nothing was too much trouble. We were invited to a BBQ buffet menu tasting day and without even trying the food knew it would be the right choice for us. The choices were well thought through and presented beautifully. Both at the tasting and on the day the food was of a really high standard, even if the weather on the day meant the food was cooked indoors. We approached wedding planning knowing that weddings are expensive but we had a budget in mind and we worked with that throughout. The Castle Inn have multiple options of ready-made packages but were also very flexible with tailoring their offering to make the day personal to us. All of our guests commented on how lovely and inviting the atmosphere of the pub was and how smooth everything went on the day. Little did they know there had been a powercut whilst everyone on site was getting ready! But Georgia even had a candlelit back up plan for that! The staff were smiling all day and even got involved with our surprise dance class from behind the bar! Our close family and a few friends stayed overnight in the rooms which they said were really clean and beautifully decorated. Having the hot breakfast buffet the morning after with our family and friends was a wonderful way to finish off the wedding and reminisce over the night before. We have had the Castle Inn as our special place over the whole course of being together so it only felt right saying I do in our favourite place surrounded by our loved ones too. We can't thank the team at the Castle Inn enough for all the hard work they put into making our day exactly what we wanted.

Crab Manor Hotel was the perfect venue for our wedding, providing everything one could need. Luxurious accommodation on site for the guests, a quirky sense of style, scenic grounds and unbeatable food, all headed up by our conscientious wedding planner Abigail. Abigail ensured that all of the minutiae of our day was considered and that everything ran smoothly. She ensured that me and my new wife weren't overwhelmed, that we had time to soak the day and that we never had to worry about anything. She worked tirelessly on the day and was so helpful in helping us consider elements we may have forgotten. The venue was perfect for us - the staff attentive, responsive and friendly. Able to accommodate 40+ guests with personalized rooms, hot tubs and comfy beds, it made the day before and after the wedding perfect. The food served was of exceptional quality and commented on by almost everyone we invited. I think it's rare to find a venue that can do it all, but I really can't recommend this one enough. Full of quirky character and able to both accommodate traditional or relaxed weddings, it really can do it all. Thank you to the team and I cannot recommend the venue enough, a special place.

We had our wedding at Dunedin Country House, and we honestly couldn't have chosen a more perfect venue for our special day. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by how beautiful the venue was. The grounds and surroundings created the most stunning backdrop for our wedding photos, and every part of the venue felt elegant, welcoming, and full of charm. What truly made our day unforgettable was the incredible staff. Every member of the team went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly. They were professional, attentive, friendly, and genuinely cared about making our wedding day as special as possible. Nothing was too much trouble, and their support throughout the day allowed us to relax and enjoy every moment. The food was absolutely to die for! Every course was beautifully presented and tasted amazing. It was clear that a great deal of care and attention went into every dish. Dunedin Country House exceeded all of our expectations and gave us memories that will last a lifetime. We cannot thank the team enough for helping create such a magical day. If you're looking for a stunning wedding venue with exceptional staff and outstanding food, we would highly recommend Dunedin Country House. Thank you for making our dream wedding a reality!

We had our wedding may 2nd. We had a brilliant time. Tanya and her team were amazing they were very professional and helpful. We had a reasonable budget in mind and the best thing about hollins hall, you choose every aspect of your day. It's made easy and stressfree from the beginning. We had options laid out. Highly recommend

Our wedding at the venue was just PERFECT!! The attention to detail, the smooth running of the day and the friendlies of Rebecca the co-ordinator and all the lovely staff. Everyone was so kind, polite and always making sure everyone was happy. Our guests were so impressed and the food was incredible 🤤😍  The day ran so smoothly, I had no worries or stress the team had everything under control, every email I sent over whilst planning our big day was responded to promptly and nothing was ever to much for any of the team. The venue is beautiful, so picturesque and the outdoors is stunning, the minute I looked around the venue I knew it was the place for us and we wish we could do it all over. To sum up our day at the venue, it was everything and more.

Where do we even begin! From arranging our first viewing with Lil and driving up the grand driveway into Thicket Priory, we knew it was the venue for us. We cannot recommend enough choosing Thicket Priory for your wedding. If you're lucky enough to have Lil as your co-ordinator, you'll be in the very best hands. From the planning stages right through to the wedding day itself, she ensured everything ran seamlessly. Her organisation, attention to detail and calm and reassuring nature meant we could relax and enjoy every moment. She is truly amazing, and we owe so much to her for helping us have one of the best days of our lives!! We booked Thicket Priory for the entire weekend (Friday-Sunday) and I would highly recommend doing the same! The whole team were on hand throughout the weekend to help with anything our guests or we needed, and nothing was ever too much trouble. The venue itself is absolutely stunning, and every single one of our guests commented on how beautiful it was. A huge thank you to the Thicket Priory team but a special shoutout to Lil for making our wedding weekend everything we dreamed it would be and more. It was simply perfect, and we're already counting down the days until we can come back to renew our vows! Mrs & Mr Crowell xx

We had our wedding at The Fleece this year (March 2026). All I can say is, these people know what they are doing! Amazing service from top to bottom, highly recommended!

We couldn't have made a better choice for our wedding than to have it at Standedge. From the start our designated contact Sam was helpful, flexible to everything we wanted, and the price was so reasonable for everything that was included. Nothing was too much trouble, and Sam and the team really know what they are doing. Our day ran seamlessly which, bearing in mind we had a petting zoo, open mic and takeaway curry for 170 people including 48 children, was no mean feat! The room was decorated beautifully and with our own added touches it really was magical. I cannot thank Sam and the team enough, and Standedge will always be a special place for us to visit.

Oulton Hall was the ideal venue for our wedding day. The whole team did everything they could to ensure our day was perfect and we can’t thank them enough!!!
