There are not enough superlatives to describe how incredible Solberge Hall and the incredible team are. We married on 21 August at Solberge Hall, supported by the fabulous team Louise, Natasha, Cveta, Allegra, and the bar staff whos names sadly I didnt catch.

We viewed the venue back in 2024, showed around by owner Claire Thomas. We knew as soon as we entered the vinery that this was our venue, it is simply breath-taking.
When we booked, Solberge was still relatively new into its new ownership under Claire but we knew we were in safe hands. The communication and experience from the team were brilliant throughout; from booking until the wedding day itself.
I must give a special shout out to our wedding coordinator Louise who is incredible at her job. Louise went above and beyond in so many ways to ensure our day ran smoothly, with no stress, she always had a smile on her face and kept everything running to time (without it feeling militant or strict at all!). She is a huge asset to Solberge and I hope she has many happy years in this job. Louise was there for us from arrival (the day before the wedding) until the day after. She helped us with unloading our bags and equipment, to setting up, to organising the aisle and ceremony practice the day before, to coordinating everything on the day itself – she really is incredible and anyone who has Louise and Natasha on their day is in for a treat!
An additional special mention goes to Natasha who was relatively new in role when we met, but you would not know this. She will thrive as a wedding coordinator, and made our day extremely special by taking the same stress-free calm and professional manner as Louise, and Natahsa also took lots of content on her phone of our wedding so we could see this the following day – given our photographer will take weeks to send through our album this was a huge plus! Thank you Natasha!
All of our bridal party including bridesmaids, groomsmen, mothers of the bride etc. all commented how incredible the Solberge teams were throughout the day. My brother paid particular credit to the bar staff/mixologists for making his favourite cocktails all day – he and his boyfriend have high standards of cocktails and they were very impressed.
As the Bride and Groom, we felt from arrival through to leaving that we did not need to think or worry about anything – as soon as we arrived we felt in the safest hands meaning we could just relax and enjoy the couple of days ahead of us. This is something we are extremely grateful for!
On the morning of the wedding unfortunately our singer cancelled. Louise and the team did everything they could to find us a replacement singer from their contacts, they took a very ‘all hands on deck’ approach to ensure this was fixed – this is another example of going above and beyond and ensuring our day stayed perfect.
We used Solberge’s recommended catering firm ‘Fond Foods’ for both our ‘night before’ buffet and the wedding day itself which was perfect. We will review Fond separately but for anyone considering whether to use them, do it. Our guests did not stop speaking about the food!
Our guests filled the accommodation and all commented on the luxury of the rooms. Most are now decorated in the new style. The only downside is that the rooms are very expensive, there is no avoiding making this point. For guests travelling a long distance where 2 nights is required it becomes a very expensive trip, thankfully our families still chose to come, some chose to stay in Northallerton town (ample choices available). The breakfast the morning after was of a very high quality cooked breakfast which we loved. Many guests commented that they would have also liked the choice of cereals, yogurts, fruit etc as not all wanted cooked breakfasts. This is also the case for children, who would just like some cereal. If Solberge could incorporate this into the breakfasts I think all guests would then be accommodated.
We were thrilled that we got to use the outdoor facilities as part of our wedding. We saw the team working outside the day before and the morning of to sweep the patio and ensure everything was spotless, which did not go unnoticed. Thank you.
We adored our time spent at Solberge, and equally enjoyed our visits in the lead up for the preparation meetings. We are gutted that we cannot return for a night’s stay to use the venue just for fun. To anyone considering booking – do it, you will have a magical day!

Tasha, Louise and the team gave us a most memorable, fabulous experience for my daughter’s wedding. The venue is amazing - The Vinery was the perfect room for both the ceremony, wedding reception and evening celebration. From arriving on Friday afternoon to leaving late Sunday morning, the Solberge staff went above and beyond, listened and were extremely flexible in their approach. Everyone involved - including night staff - was friendly, attentive and looked after all of us throughout our stay. The bedrooms are all beautifully decorated and having the suites for the bridal party the night before and the preparation room for the morning of the wedding was a real bonus. I cannot praise the staff enough for their attention to detail, approachability and professionalism - had such a stress free, joyous time. I would unreservedly recommend this venue.

I would recommend Solberge Hall for your wedding, we got married there on the August Bank Holiday. It was the most perfect day and our wedding planners really did do all the planning. The day went without a hitch thanks to the dedicated team. Whatever I asked for, I got, the can do attitude of the team really was second to none. The decor is quirky and opulent and the outside is stunning with views of rolling country side (not a pylon in sight). I am trying to manufacture another event just so I can go back there. All our guests were blown away with our choice of venue.

We had our wedding reception at Solberge Hall after our church ceremony and we were so happy with how the day went! We were able to come the day before and set everything up ourselves so the room was exactly how we wanted it. The staff were so friendly and accommodating, even down to finding jugs for the bridal party’s bouquets. All of the food was delicious, lots of our guests commented on the chicken thighs in the evening - they were a big hit! We used the DJ that came included with our package and he was amazing! Our guests were able to make song requests which really made the dancefloor full all night. We had the best wedding day at Solberge Hall and cannot thank them enough!

My husband and I held our wedding party here. What am amazing evening.
The wedding breakfast was fabulous with the food cooked to perfection!
The master of ceremonies, Andy, was brilliant, along with all his staff who were very helpful and professional.
Our compliments to the chefs and to all who worked there, on our very special occasion, both that evening and the next morning.
The disco was also really good and I don’t think there was a point at all when there was nobody on the dance floor.
The Christmas trees and decorations were also beautiful, along with the tables and chairs which were decorated by Lucy from XLB Events. Also one last mention to Amy the wedding Co-ordinator, who helped us book our wonderful wedding package.
We highly recommend Solberge Hall for your wedding or any other event as it was truly spot on.

This weekend was what dreams were made of your team were sensational as far as Paul and I were concerned.

I would like to begin with Friday night, my guests and family were welcomed and the comments on the food were nothing but outstanding.

The morning of the wedding- nothing was too much trouble I mean the chef even accommodated me wanting a simple bacon sandwich for breakfast ( you have no idea how much we appreciated it)

Curtis - a true professional, Paul and I felt support and care and interest in our day, he ran it with style and precision and nothing seemed too much Trouble, the staff clearly respect him and took his direction, the whole day ran smoothly and on time and at any point I needed him like magic he was there, at no point did I think where is that guy, we thank him from the bottom of our hearts

The food- oh my goodness I am still getting compliments, Paul and I sadly didn’t eat much or try the bbq but that’s being the bride and groom, however our guests were raving about it all, and the portion sizes and amounts people were thrilled with.

The serving staff and bar staff - fantastic, there was plenty of them and all were well dressed and happy to help

The house keepers - by Jove they were busy but please express our gratitude as the whole place was sparkling

Last but very not least you, thank you made our experience fun, professional, and most of all you allowed us freedom to plan and enjoy our day but with sprinkles of guidance and expertise where needed

We fell in love with this place from the minute we walked in! All the staff were absolutely amazing could not fault them! Our wedding planner at the time made us feel at ease and helped us so much, she unfortunately left and a new one started and the change over was perfect! Could not of asked for better customer service!

Nothing was too much trouble. Every member of staff was committed to the guests and making sure they had everything they needed and were enjoying themselves. Could not ask for better service on our wedding day!

The venue was excellent for the full day. The staff worked hard to change the venue for each element of the day, i.e, ceremony, then wedding breakfast and evening reception. The venue is great for external shots with rolling countryside as a backdrop.

The accommodation was spacious with lovely beds and facilities.
