The Timble Inn is a charming wedding venue located just outside Harrogate, North Yorkshire and right on the border of the Yorkshire Dales. This property is nestled in the tranquil village of Timble, in Nidderdale's Washburn Valley. Couples envisioning spending their day in historic surroundings are sure to appreciate the unique appeal of this Grade-II listed building. It was originally used as a coaching inn in the 18th century but has foundations that date back to the 13th century.
Facilities and Capacity
An intimate ceremony can be held in the chapel, just a short walk down the road from The Timble Inn. This space can seat up to 35 guests, letting you be surrounded by your nearest and dearest as you exchange vows. The chapel's simplistic decor makes it a blank canvas, so you can easily transform it with flowers and decorations to tie it into your theme for the day. Then, make your way back into the heart of the quaint village for wedding photos. More dramatic backdrops are a short distance away, with the valleys of Nidderdale just down the road. The drinks reception will begin back at the inn, whether you opt for the lawn and decking or the cosy lounge. Wedding breakfasts at the inn are held in the intimate restaurant, which offers two connecting rooms that can seat up to 20 people each. Here, masonry, oak beams, and traditional decor combine to create an inviting atmosphere. For an even more intimate gathering, our lounge can be converted into a private dining room for up to 14 guests.

You're invited to work closely with the events team and explain your vision, so they can get to work on perfecting every little detail. Cuisine can be taken care of by the in-house team, led by two-time AA rosette-accredited head chef Jamie Cann, with the process starting with an initial tasting. A bespoke menu will be designed around your preferences to ensure your perfect wedding breakfast.

Our Wedding Day at The Timble Inn – Absolutely Spot On
We had our wedding at The Timble Inn and honestly, it couldn’t have gone better. From the moment we arrived, everything just ran smoothly — well organised, no stress, no fuss — just exactly what you want on a day like that.
The chapel is a lovely, simple space just down the lane, and it felt really personal and relaxed, which suited us perfectly. After the ceremony, the team at the Inn had everything set up and ready to go — we didn’t have to think about a thing.
The food was outstanding. À la carte and absolutely faultless — every guest commented on it. It genuinely wouldn’t have been out of place in a high-end restaurant, and it really added something special to the day.
The staff were brilliant throughout — friendly, helpful, and always there when needed without being over the top. Special thanks to Enzo, the manager — calm, organised, and just a really decent bloke who clearly knows how to run a great event.
We brought our own flowers and a few personal touches, but the venue itself didn’t need much dressing up — it’s already a beautiful place, with loads of character.
We wouldn’t change a single thing. If you’re after a small, relaxed, high-quality wedding in a beautiful Yorkshire setting, we can genuinely recommend The Timble Inn without hesitation

Our perfect wedding day - Donna & Wayne 24.06.25
We had our perfect wedding day at the Timble Inn. We cannot express how amazing this place is! From booking the venue to eating breakfast after our special day. The whole experience was perfect! We want to say a massive thank you to Enzo, who in fact was the final reason why we booked the Timble Inn for our special day. Without Enzo and his fantastic team it would not have been half the day that it was. Enzo ensured that every detail was checked and double checked and was there beside us throughout the entire day to ensure that it was as magical as it was. It is no exaggeration to say that by the end of our beautiful day and all the preparation in advance that he felt like a member of our family and will remain a friend close to our hearts always. Special thank you to the chef and his team for the amazing food that every single one of our guests commented so highly on, simply faultless! A Magical Experience
We hosted our wedding in May this year at the Timble Inn. Enzo, Sarah and the team looked after us and helped make our day so special. As well as an idyllic setting, their welcome was as warm as the sunshine. Their personal touches and attention to detail were second to none, the food and drink exceptional. Working with Enzo to plan our day was a delight, communication was excellent, he went the extra mile to ensure everything was perfect. A huge heartfelt thank you.

The perfect day
Our wedding was perfect from start to finish.
The village of Timble is beautiful and the The Timble Inn and chapel add to the beauty.
The chapel is simple but beautiful. You do not have to pay extra for the chairs or lights etc. The communication from Enzo and the team is fantastic. And the food... Unbelievable. The service throughout was amazing and the team could not do enough for you. The rooms are also beautiful and well equipped. The gorgeous breakfast the next morning was welcomed after the excellent range of wines on offer.

Amazing venue
We had a beautiful autumn wedding at The Timble Inn. Amazing experience from start to finish. Enzo guided us through the planning where we able to craft our perfect day. We had an intimate family wedding with all guests staying on site. The whole service was incredibly professional and Sarah made sure we had everything we needed on the day. The rooms are beautiful and well appointed. The food was delicious and the chef put together the menu based on our preferences. The surrounding countryside is gorgeous and provided perfect photo opportunities with the autumn colours. It was everything we wanted and I would absolutely recommend the Timble.

Heaven on Earth
We were very keen to have a sophisticated and intimate wedding that reflected our personalities and Timble Inn delivered that in abundance . We chose a three day event where we had the inn exclusively for ourselves and our guests .
We had a family Christmas dinner on the evening before our wedding. The next day we had use of the beautiful chapel for our service followed by our wedding breakfast and then a friends celebration dinner on the third day. Everything was exquisite. Each day the food was not only beautiful to eat but beautiful to see. Each plateful was picture perfect and tasted delicious.
The rooms were gorgeous and exceeded the expectations of even the most sophisticated traveller. The Inn was a joy to see, full of sparking lights and our own candles and flowers made it look movie set gorgeous. The service was exemplary from beginning to end and nothing was too much trouble for Enzo and his professional team. Our guests were wowed at every turn .
We floated away from the three perfect days on a cloud of happiness and relief that it was everything and more than we had planned . We will be forever grateful, and regular returners to this very special piece of heaven on earth .

Our Wedding
From the moment we first arrived at the Timble in we knew that it was where we wanted our wedding to be held. The attentiveness of all the staff is by far the best I have ever experienced. The atmosphere is wonderful and very personal, nothing was too much trouble. We hired all the bedrooms for our guests to stay in and everyone agreed how wonderful it was. Our wedding reception was held in the snug and it was very intimate with just 20 guests and the food was sublime. We also hired the chapel, which is beautiful. Cannot thank all the staff at the Timble Inn for making our dream wedding become reality. Thank you so much.

Our Small Wedding 5 Sept 2024
The Timble Inn is the perfect venue for a small wedding. Enzo and the Timble Team went above and beyond to make our stay and Wedding day extra special. They even helped in coordinating our guests, the Registrars, Florist and Photographer. Everything was perfect, from the Chapel, drinks and canapés, to the Wedding Breakfast itself. All the meals throughout our stay, from breakfast to evening dinners were superb - everything cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. One of our party even commented that the Chefs and food were on par with the Savoy Grill! The location and accommodation were perfect, we couldn’t have found better. We are looking forward to returning sometime in the future for a weekend break.

Stylish, intimate country wedding venue
We are a mature couple who wanted a small (20) low key, but stylish event with good food, As soon as we visited the Timble Inn and met Enzo we knew that this was just what we were looking for. The setting is stunning and the Timble has something really special for those who want an intimate wedding, in owning the simple and beautiful village chapel and offering an excellent, locally produced menu and service.

Fantastic intimate wedding venue
We chose Timble for our intimate wedding 10 days ago, and couldn’t be happier with our experience. The location is stunning and lends itself to beautiful photo opportunities both inside and out (we worked with the brilliant Natalierussellphotography). The chapel was a huge part of the attraction for us, it’s beautifully appointed and when decorated with flowers is just stunning (we worked with the amazing Jo at Heatherandmoss) plus we arranged a violinist to play for the ceremony which created a wonderful atmosphere (the fantastic Emily Harding at Yorkshireviolinist). We hired Timble Inn exclusively which gave us all 9 of the bedrooms - these are beautifully finished and with 5 upstairs close together gave us the ability to room hop whilst I was getting ready for the wedding which was perfect. The various reception rooms give you different options and great fallbacks if the weather is not perfect. The options available for food and wines are great and working with Jamie the chef we created our bespoke menu. The lovely dining room worked perfectly for our size (16 people). And finally the team at Timble deserve a huge shout out - on the day Sarah & Judith were amazing, keeping the day running smoothly and providing great support. And the management team are really committed to making the day perfect for you. We highly recommend.

Beautiful Autumnal Wedding
We picked The Timble Inn for our intimate autumn wedding as we wanted somewhere cosy and inviting with lovely accommodation on site and they did not disappoint!
From start to finish everyone at The Timble Inn was amazing and made sure we had everything we needed for our day. Our theme was quite dark, and Enzo understood our vision and ran with it making the venue look perfect on the day. He made sure we had everything we needed and him and his team provided the most amazing service taking so much stress out of the day!
The rooms are beautiful and so comfortable. We couldn’t have picked a better place to celebrate our wedding - thank you!

Beautiful venue
We chose The Timble Inn for our wedding venue because of its beautiful setting and reputation for great food, and are so glad we did! It was so much more than we expected and that is due to the amazing team. They made us feel so welcome, the day was personal and relaxed, and the planning was simple, stress-free and felt completely tailored to us.
We hired the whole venue for our group of 18 which gave us complete freedom and made sure all our guests could stay overnight with us. Perfect intimate wedding venue
The Timble Inn is the perfect venue for small intimate weddings, we got ready in our hotel rooms, then walked only a few steps up the country lane to the Timble Chapel for the ceremony. The beautiful Yorkshire countryside makes a perfect backdrop for photographs. We had the cottage all to ourselves with 1 large dining table for our party of 13, which was then changed to a more relaxed seating plan for the evening. The food was amazing and all the staff we so friendly and helpful. It was a stress free, perfect day and I would highly recommend the Timble Inn to anyone looking for an intimate, cosy wedding venue in a beautiful setting.
