We couldn't be happier with our choice of the venue for our wedding day. The venue was a mixture of romantic, relaxed and rustic atmosphere and suited our personalities down to the ground.

In the lead up to the day Fiona and Rebecca were extremely responsive to emails and phone calls from myself and my mum. Patiently answering endless questions about decor inventory, size of candles etc. We also really appreciated being able to set up some of the tables etc the afternoon before.

Fiona [our wedding coordinator] is an asset to the team. Fiona was great at coming up with suggestions to make the day run smoothly [and to make it even more special]. We thought on the day Fiona was the perfect balance - attentive and always there, but not at all in the way.

A favourite saying of the Groom on the day [much to the best man's annoyance] was "Don't worry, this isn't their first rodeo". I do think it is true. The service during the day was just so seamless and polished. We come from hospitality/event organising backgrounds so I think you notice the smaller details and know the effort which is put in.

we've spoken to a number of the guests who attended the wedding and the main comments have been about the quality of the food.
- Numerous wedding guests commented that it was the best food that they'd ever had at a wedding.
- another guest wants to know the recipe for the arrancini balls
- I'm told a friend's partner did not 'shut up' about the pork [main dish] for days.

Our wedding day was perfect from start to finish, I had a vision of how we wanted everything to look and I can honestly say that it was more perfect than I could have imagined.

The whole process from viewing The Venue to planning meetings was so seamless and took away all the anxiety and stress from planning a wedding! Our coordinator Lucy was so amazing and kept in touch throughout the whole thing!

The day went without fault and our guests had nothing but good things to say about the setting, staff and the food.

Without doubt a 5-star venue for weddings from our experience. We cannot thank all of the staff at The Venue enough, everything at our wedding in August was just how we hoped it would be and more. A special thanks to our coordinator Lydia. Everything about the whole process was wonderful; booking, liaison during planning, every bit of extra detail and effort on the day. Nothing was too much to ask and the place is just stunning. And the food… the food is amazing! We had so many comments on the venue, our guests loved it and could see why we fell in love with it. We strongly recommend!

Having played in string quartets for weddings for almost 30 years… There are not many venues in the North of England where I have not been to play.

I can honestly say that this is one of my favourite venues. The setting is stunning, and the whole place exudes a warmth of welcome, absolutely made special by the staff. All who enter are made to feel like old friends, and everything from the architecture to the lighting (not to mention the stunning countryside surrounding!) makes any visit a special one.

The food is also absolutely mouth watering.

Go there to look around, and you will surely book to have your special day there!

We had our civil partnership ceremony and celebration at The Venue last weekend. They were fantastic throughout our whole planning process. We received regular communication and everything we asked for was done by The Venue. We had so many guests comment on how beautiful the space was and how amazing the food was! The whole team were great on the day and even last minute changes were dealt with wonderfully. We are so glad we chose The Venue for our celebration!

The Venue hosted our wedding on February 15th 2020 and we cannot express how grateful we are to all the staff throughout the whole process. Such a friendly and professional team that were so easy to communicate with. No issue was too big for them and they accommodated everything we asked for to make our day special. The Venue itself.. you only need to see it once to fall in love with it. The Spinning (ceremony) room in particular is the most beautiful place, giving the perfect ambiance for a romantic wedding. As soon as we saw it, we knew we had to have our wedding there. The location is picturesque with photo opportunities inside the venue, but also outside in the beautifully setup location. We would just like to give a special mention to Jade, she is so professional and organised, she made the day run with not one hiccup. She calmed me down when I panicked about storm Dennis – I really cannot express how much it meant to me that she tried to take all my panic away. For the price that you pay, honestly you cannot fault it at all. The all inclusive prices include practically everything you could want to make the space perfect. I could go on and on for paragraphs saying how wonderful everything is but honestly, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you for everything.

We recently got married here and to say the day went without a hitch is an understatement. The staff were absolutely fantastic and Jade did an exceptional job of coordinating the whole day. The whole day just oozed professionalism and the team could not have made it more perfect. I would 100% recommend The Venue as a wedding venue, the packages suit all budgets, the communication from Nicola, Adam, Janice and Jade throughout was great and the added touches that The Venue offer as part of the package make a huge fifference. The rooms are beautiful and sympathetic to the original mill but still very on trend, but the most impressive part is that you get complete exclusivity on your day at a non-exclusive price. Thanks guys, you made the day everything I hoped it would be.

When we walked into The Venue we just knew it was the perfect place for our Wedding reception. We booked 22 months in advance and we were lucky to book a package which gave us flexibility to work with. Jade (our coordinator) used her expertise to advise us and give plenty of ideas which worked perfectly for our day. The Venue looked stunning inside and out and all of the staff on the day worked so hard and were so helpful. Perfect venue for a perfect day.

We got married here in November 2019 and what can we say.. it was just perfect. The Venue is just stunning and so beautifully decorated with those loving touches that you only get somewhere that cares. All the staff – Jade, Nicola, Adam and all the staff that worked on the day – were incredible. Nothing was too much to ask. If you’re considering having an event here, do it, you won’t regret it. We got married at The Venue last Saturday. It was the perfect venue for us – beautiful inside and out. The Spinning room where we had our ceremony and the meal is such a naturally attractive and romantic setting. The Venue staff dressed the room with candles, hurricane lanterns and fresh foliage from the gardens – we didn’t have to add much more – it was ideal. In the evening, we were in the main room which is perfectly set up for a party. The wedding coordinator, Jade and her staff could not have works any harder for us throughout the weekend – setting up, making sure the day ran to perfection and cleaning up afterwards – we cannot thank them enough.
