Reviews for Grand Villa Heights
Do not book- you will be stressed and lied to constantly! They use ai pictures and assurances to get your money!
They sold me a wedding package they couldn't deliver on time. When I asked for a refund, they issued it, but then tried to blame me for cancelling — even though they failed to meet their own deadlines. Instead of taking responsibility and cancelling when they knew the renovations wouldn't be finished, they left me feeling pressured to cancel due to constantly changing timelines.
Their marketing is deceptive. They use AI-generated images to advertise weddings and paint an unrealistic picture of what they actually offer. The reality is far below expectations.
The website is full of fake visuals, and the company makes promises they simply can’t keep. Worst of all, the contract is heavily one-sided. Even if the venue wasn’t structurally complete — say, without a roof — you'd still be the one held accountable.
The CEO refuses to acknowledge any wrongdoing and continues to run the business by exploiting excited, hopeful couples. It’s a disgrace.

How can we even begin to express our love and gratitude to you all?!
From the very first moment we booked our Wedding Day at Grand Villa Heights, we knew without a doubt that we had made the perfect choice — and that we were in for the most wonderful day.
Lauren Hutchings, our dedicated Wedding Coordinator, was absolutely amazing! From our first meeting to the moment we said goodbye the day after the wedding, we knew we were in the best hands. Lauren was friendly, professional, and always available to answer what felt like my thousands of questions! No request was ever too much trouble, and she truly made the entire wedding planning process so much easier and more enjoyable.
Our Wedding Day itself was simply magical. Lauren seamlessly handed things over to John Groves, our Wedding Manager, who walked through every detail with us to ensure everything was exactly as we had envisioned. John was outstanding and went above and beyond for us in every way.
Alongside John, we also had the pleasure of working with John (our Master of Ceremonies) and Andy (Shadow Master of Ceremonies) on the day. They are truly two of the loveliest men you could ever wish to meet. Josh and I absolutely loved sharing our day with them. They not only took incredible care of us, but also ensured every one of our guests was having the best time possible. They are true masters of their craft and are absolute assets to the Grand Villa Heights team!
Every single person at Grand Villa Heights is incredible. We honestly feel so lucky to have had such a wonderful and magical Wedding Day — and it is all thanks to the brilliant and caring staff.

Outdoor Sea View Weddind Day
On the day, we had breakfast brought to the bridal suite (lodge), followed by some of the pre wedding brunch bites. The weather turned sunny the hour before the wedding, we couldn’t believe our luck! What great views to look out onto whilst you say your “I do’s”
Post wedding drinks reception was orchestrated so well with all our guests saying how amazing the food was.
The wedding breakfast was served very quickly, my grandma (97) said everything was “very hot and tasty”. The other guests said how lovely the beef was and the vegetable wellington was delicious and very different from the usual risotto vegetarian option. I loved the fact we had HUGE Yorkshire puddings and silverskins in the gravy, yum!
The transition into day and evening shift was seamless as we held our evening reception in the “chapel”. This was decked out ready for the guests after the meal. Guests couldn’t the dance floor, chat at tables or relax in the private bar. Some guests with children even started to play big jenga in another room of the hotel away from the noise.
We had a perfect day and have absolutely no regrets thanks to the venue and all its wonderful staff!
We will hopefully revisit on our anniversary next year!
Superb and very professional.
One guest had a two month old, their room wasn't due to be ready until after our wedding ceremony but the venue got their room ready before so that they could enjoy the day with a base for their little one.
We were made to feel like royalty throughout the entire day. They are magnificent.

I woudn't have any hesitation booking a wedding or special event with them, all our guests said how amazing the venue was and the food was superb! Can't wait to go back and stay again.
Exceeded all Expectations
Raving review for Raven Hall
For the wedding itself we had use of a separate ceremony room (the Great Hall) which had a barn type feel and came with complimentary fairy lights and garlands which enhanced the room beautifully. Our wedding breakfast was held in George III room and comfortably fit our 80 guests. The food quality was exceptional and they were able to cater to meat eaters, vegan, vegetarian and also for my young nephew who has coeliac disease. For the evening do we went back into the Great Hall and danced the night away with our chosen DJ. Within the Great Hall there is a private bar for wedding guest use only.
The communication I had with the venue was mainly via email and some face to face visits, the staff were very professional, friendly and quick to respond to any queries.
The lodge rooms in which we stayed were spectacular with stunning views and a great place for bridal/grooms party to get ready.
Please note that the hotel allows exclusive use for one wedding only per day however there may be pre-booked non wedding guests staying there. For example we booked our Saturday November 2022 wedding in May 2022 and the hotel already had 14 rooms taken by non-wedding guests.
Final note - if I was to do it all over again I would still choose this venue!!

The only negative is that our special day went too quickly.

Incredible wedding venue
The venue itself is absolutely out of this world with the most breath taking views! The perfect backdrop for photographs.
All the staff are polite, friendly and hard working. They each ensured our wedding day was stress free and ran smoothly.
The food was out of this world, both in the main restaurant and on the day of our wedding!
Overall, we had the most magical day and I cannot thank all at Raven Hall enough, but a special mention to Ben, Gemma and Amy who from the point of enquiry, to booking and to overseeing the day, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts! We had a day to remember and can’t wait to come back each year to celebrate our anniversary’s!
Amazing Venue, Beautiful Location
Ben, Phillipe and the rest of the team made sure that our day and evening went without any issues, Ben was very relaxed and organised, I had no concerns in leaving our day in his capable hands despite liking to know exactly what is happening and when, and im so glad we did! Everything went smoothly and was relaxed and enjoyable for everyone.
The kitchen were fantastic, the food that we were served was beautiful! We've had so many of our guests comment on how lovely their meal was and how surprised they were at the portion they were served, with a number been concerned they may still be hungry at the end! Also, the evening buffet went down like a treat and was just the kind of thing we needed!
Myself ans my bridesmaid stayed in a lodge the night before and it was the perfect setting to get ready with everything you may need, plenty of room to get ready. With a number of family members choosing to stay their for the weekend and commenting on how enjoyable it was for them.
Despite the postponement and the slightly cooler weather, our day at Raven Hall was truly beautiful, with the stunning hotel and absolutely breath-taking views for photographs. I would without doubt recommend this for weddings or even just for a weekend stay.
