Nestled on 12 acres of landscaped gardens, this exclusive 400-year-old historic house in North Yorkshire acts as a tranquil, secluded setting for couples to host their big day. The adjoining church of St Mary can also be considered for ceremonies. The dedicated onsite team will work closely with you to ensure everything goes according to plan.
Facilities and Capacity
With its beautiful views across the gardens and grounds, Goldsborough Hall is a truly romantic wedding venue at any season. Used as a private family home, it is famed for its warm family atmosphere & wonderful hospitality. The venue can host events of various sizes, from intimate gatherings to lavish events. Soon-to-be-weds are also welcome to book one or all of the 16 rooms and suites, with plenty of additional accommodation locally. You can choose to wake up on the morning of your wedding in gorgeous surroundings, then start the day with a delicious breakfast in your room or suite. You will then be ready to start your reception with open fires, a glass of Winter Pimms or Champagne and a selection of mouth-watering canapes. In addition, the adjoining 13th-Century village church of St Mary’s has a private entrance to the grounds of the Hall and is the ideal setting for a Church of England wedding before a reception at Goldsborough.

A dedicated personal coordinator will be present to ensure everything goes according to plan. A fairy tale of a weekend
I literally don't know where to begin.
We had the most amazing weekend.
The team from start to finish where impeccable. From our very first viewing, Amanda was like a fairy godmother; nothing was too much of an ask.
We had our family and a few close friends stay with us at Goldsborough on Friday night, and everyone commented on how good the food was and how relaxed the setting felt. The staff were attentive but not imposing.
On the day of our wedding, it really did feel special from the moment we woke up to the final goodbye of the night. Mel even saved the day when we realised I had bought biodegradable confetti rather than real dried petals, because fear not, she had some spare!
Even the Sunday morning was smooth and easy when packing up to leave.
Could not recommend Goldsborough enough.

Amazing Venue!!
Absolutely no other place we'd rather have been married. They make you feel like you're the only guests at the hotel and then when wedding day comes their attention to detail is second to none.

Best day ever!!
I had my wedding day at Goldsborough Hall on August 10th 2025 and I honestly can not thank and praise the wedding team and venue enough. The day was faultless, they organised everything and I had absolutely NOTHING to worry about the morning of my wedding.
Our guests were blown away by the beauty of the venue but also the service and attention to detail all provided by the team. The food was delicious and everyone who had a room at the hall (included with the price of the wedding!!!) commented how clean and gorgeous they were too.
Building up to the day the wedding team couldn’t do enough to make us feel ready and excited. We had a tour when we booked, had another tour for our parents and a wedding prep meeting a month before where they outlined everything that would happen on the day. I had some nerves the night before and they were even there then to calm and reassure me the day would be amazing, and it was. The team are experienced, caring and the loveliest people who made our wedding day perfect. I can not recommend this stunning venue enough.

Summer 2024 Wedding
We had our wedding at Goldsborough in August 2024. It was an amazing day! The goldsborough team were very friendly and responsive throughout the planning process (thank you Amanda!), answering any questions we had in a timely manner. Goldsborough provided a great amount of flexibility, allowing us to include additional vendors for the day, (such as a photobooth, snack stalls and games). The food was amazing! We've had great feedback for the quality of the food from our guests. The venue is beautiful, and we found the wedding packages reasonably priced. Thank you Goldsborough!

Goldsborough Hall, May 2025.
We cannot recommend Goldsborough Hall highly enough. We viewed a number of venues and different packages but there’s something special about Goldsborough and for the level of service you get the value of the package is really good.
We’d recommend visiting one of their wedding fairs, we got a lot of inspiration from them and a number of our vendors for our wedding.
Alison, Mel and the team answered our many questions, gave us advice and were very supportive in the run up to the day (which for us was over a couple of years).
The venue is stunning any time of year, our wedding in May, was beautiful with the grounds looking stunning. We got great weather so our band and entertainment, including outdoor games, could be enjoyed by our guests.
The ceremony room, orangery and library were all beautifully decorated and arranged. Our ceremony room, the Drawing Room, was perfect for our party size of 72. It felt grand and cosy at the same time, we had plenty of room for the 2 piece band playing during the ceremony.
The orangery is great for the wedding breakfast, cake cutting and evening meal. It doesn’t take a lot to make the place look good as it’s already very well furnished and decorated.
The bar and food are very very good, we got a lot of positive comments from guests on the quality of the food which you can tell is really fresh and the best ingredients.
The day was well managed, seamless work from the staff and flexible when things inevitably changed or ran a little behind.
We’ll keep coming back to Goldsborough for the great food, beautiful grounds and friendly staff. Cannot recommend enough.

Fab venue & staff
We had such an amazing day, the venue and grounds are gorgeous. The rooms are big and beautiful. The staff are pleasant very welcoming and friendly. Amanda our wedding coordinator was very professional and helpful with our requests. Communication was great. Would love to do our day all over again 🥰

The most joyful day
The team at Goldsborough Hall were wonderful from start to finish. From looking around the venue, to the wedding day itself, they made the process of planning a wedding smooth, fun and bespoke. They responded rapidly to any questions we had, and were available for email, telephone and in-person chats. We visited the venue many times in the year up to the wedding, and we always felt so welcome - at the tasting menu, planning meetings and just coming for a cuppa! The day itself ran seamlessly thanks to Alison, Mel and the team. We could not have had a more wonderful wedding, thank you so much!

Magical winter wedding!
We held our wedding at Goldsborough Hall in February, the winter off peak pricing made our dream venue affordable and we decided to go for it! With Goldsborough being such a beautiful venue inside and out it had many options whatever the weather which was great.
The guests loved the venue from its beauty to the gorgeous food and wine. Everyone who stayed loved their comfy rooms and delicious breakfast the next day.
Alison Garlick helped us plan our wedding from start to finish and made sure everything was perfect right down to the fine details. The staff were so efficient and went like clock work to make sure everything went smoothly.
