Party on the lawns and in our stunning Clear Garden Marquee.

Should you want an event with more guests, our Clear Garden Marquee may be your choice. The Garden Marquee is the absolute queen of venues. It holds a huge 350 guests at maximum capacity and it really does capture the essence of an outdoor wedding but with all the indoor comforts. The fire pits, heating lanterns, outdoor seating, ‘Caravan Bar’ and street-style food stalls create an incredibly social atmosphere - it almost becomes your own city!

Visit the stalls and the bar, bounce from one seating area to the dance floor to the cherry blossom avenue, listen to the live music; it’s all yours. Oh, and at night, it turns into a fiery orange party that glows far into the distant countryside.

This venue is very popular for dry hire and asian weddings.

With a woodland wedding package, your bar is a tree bar, your pizza comes from a purpose built outdoor oven, and your civil ceremony takes place on a charming pagoda surrounded by towering sequoia trees. Your party happens either on an outdoor dance floor or inside a tipi, and you’re engulfed in nature’s finest. Outdoor weddings are becoming more and more popular, and we know why!

You will be provided with your own Wedding Planner who will look after you from your initial enquiry to the details on the day. There are 32 bedrooms and suites at Hazlewood located in the main Castle, the St Leonard's wing, and the courtyard area named St. Margaret's. All bedrooms boast their inherent beauty and historic character with the highest design criteria and decoration. Each one is unique and varies in both shape and size.

History

Our Castle is steeped in a rich history; Shakespeare’s sonnet 127 “The Dark Lady” refers to Anne Vavasour of Hazlewood, Hazlewood features in the Domesday book, and the Castle was formerly a Maternity Hospital in WW1. Whether you’re a historian or not, there’s a special feeling in the Castle that, we’re sure, is thanks to this lavish past - feel it for yourself on your next visit!
