The service of everyone involved was amazing from the very first meeting to the night itself. The food was amazing exceeded our expectations, the room itself was perfect, clean and tidy.

Absolutely fantastic! Our day was amazing and it had been postponed four times due to covid. The Village Hotel could not have been more accommodating with the change of dates. Everything was perfect on the day and Lucy Smart-Cohen, our wedding co-ordinator, was brilliant. She was friendly, approachable, so organised and I had every confidence in her. All the staff involved on the day were brilliant too. Very friendly, but still professional, and nothing was too much trouble. The location of the hotel was ideal for us and our guests. Plenty of parking and plenty of rooms for those guests that stayed overnight. Competitive pricing, Our big day finally happened and went without a hitch. There is absolutely nothing negative I can say about The Village Hotel and staff! A perfect day!

We had our whole wedding day at the village hotel and we could t of asked for more. It was everything we hoped for. The staff was lovely, the decorations were beautiful and the food for both day and evening were 10 out of 10, the rooms were clean and the breakfast buffet the next day was amazing and we have a 6 months gym membership too.

Had a fantastic wedding at the tickled trout, Food was amazing and good portion size. Staff were friendly and accommodating, they made my wedding breakfast look amazing and set it out as I wanted. Charlie is great and was always helpful with needs and replies quickly to any quires and emails. Nothing was too much trouble. Venue it self is perfect and we hired whole pub out which was great such a pretty venue inside and out.

We had our wedding at The Mitre Hotel and from start to finish the experience was exceptional. From our very first conversations, Jessica and the rest of the team were fantastic. Communication was clear and consistent, and we always felt well informed and supported throughout the planning process. The tasting was a real highlight. The food was outstanding, and several of our guests later told us it was the best wedding meal they’d ever had. The team also handled dietary requirements seamlessly, which took a huge amount of pressure off us. On the day itself, everything ran like clockwork. The organisation was impeccable, yet we never felt like just another wedding in a busy schedule. The team made us feel genuinely special and completely at ease. The wedding suite was beautiful and the perfect place to end the day. Thank you to everyone at The Mitre for making sure our wedding went so smoothly and without a single problem. We couldn’t have asked for more.

I had my wedding here and everything went perfect. Honestly for the value compared to other venues this is the best. I would highly recommend this hall to everyone.

The Retreat was the first venue we went to see and we fell in love, cancelled all further viewings elsewhere and booked the next day. It’s absolutely stunning, from the bedrooms to the grounds. Ella was amazing throughout the planning process, always helpful and kept us updated. We were very excited to hear of the Secret Garden opening earlier this year so made the decision to move our day here, and it was the best decision ever! Everything went so well. We had our ceremony with 50 guests on the lower lawn, and then our breakfast and reception in the marquee with an additional 50 guests joining us for the party. We were so well looked after by all of the staff and Ella ensured everything went perfectly on the day. The feedback from our guests was amazing and many said it was the best food they had ever eaten at a wedding (we agree!!). We would recommend The Retreat to everyone for a gorgeous, relaxed, country side wedding! Thank you to Ella and all of the team, we can’t wait to come back.

We honestly cannot recommend Horwood House enough! We had our wedding here on 1st August and from start to finish, it was everything we could have wished for and more. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful, but what truly made our experience so special was the incredible team. A huge thank you has to go to Marius and Maisie, who were absolutely amazing throughout our wedding. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, everything was handled so professionally, and they made sure the whole day ran smoothly so that we could simply relax and enjoy every moment. Marius and Maisie were attentive, organised, friendly and reassuring, and you could really tell that they cared about making our wedding as special as possible. The venue looked absolutely stunning on the day, the food was fantastic, the service was brilliant and our guests had so many lovely things to say about Horwood House and the staff. Everything came together beautifully and seeing all of our plans finally brought to life was such an emotional moment. Our wedding was one of the most important days of our lives and we will always be grateful to Horwood House for the memories we made there. We couldn't have chosen a better venue to celebrate with all of our family and friends. Marius and Maisie, thank you so much for everything you did for us. You were such a huge part of making our day as wonderful as it was and we will never forget it. If you're considering Horwood House for your wedding, we would recommend it without hesitation. We celebrated our wedding at Stirrups in May and we honestly couldn’t have chosen a more perfect venue. From the moment we arrived , we were struck by how much character the place has. It is charming, full of personality and has beautiful gardens. The staff were very attentive on the day and went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. Especially Sam and Brent who were amazing on the day. Our guests loved the food, from the delicious wedding breakfast to the evening buffet. On the morning of the wedding my mum and I were treated to a fresh fruit platter and hot rolls, which were really yummy and a thoughtful touch. The atmosphere was warm and inviting and our guests couldn’t stop commenting on how stunning it all looked. Stirrups will always hold a special place in our hearts and we highly recommend it for weddings and functions!
