A dance floor and entertainment facilities are provided and installed by the venue's staff. Two indoor function rooms are available within the hotel for smaller private gatherings. Mr & Mrs Deacon
From the first moment we met Sashen to organise our wedding day we knew we were in good hands. The organising that Sashen provided was exceptional and it took pressure off ourselves.
Attention to detail was second to none from the layout of the outdoor ceremony to the wedding breakfast.
As mentioned our ceremony was outside as the weather was perfect, but an indoor room was also organised as a back up for bad weather, luckily it wasn’t needed but it was still very reassuring for us.
The wedding breakfast buffet was excellent as was the evening selection. The variety was perfect and it was very well received by all.
We have heard nothing but compliments from our guests that celebrated our day with us, and those that that stayed in the hotel for the night were very happy with the hospitality provided.
Again we can’t thank Sashen and the holiday inn staff enough for making our day as special as it was.

A special thank you to Sashen, the Wedding & Events Manager, who went above and beyond for us. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and their communication, organisation and kindness throughout the planning and on the day itself were absolutely amazing.
The venue looked beautiful, the atmosphere was perfect, and everything ran so smoothly from our ceremony through to the evening celebrations. Our guests all commented on how lovely the venue was and how well everything was organised.

Nothing was too much trouble, everything went as planned, smoothly, had contacts to DJ , Hayley from bloomers , table planner , a real life Mary poppins , both complimenting eachother.

Fabulous wedding venue
We had our wedding at Holiday Inn Whitfield. It was an amazing day - stunning venue, lovely food and attentive staff. Sashen the wedding co-ordinator was fabulous - he made our experience special from day one. Nothing was too much trouble for him and he made sure everything was just perfect. He made our wedding day feel so special. We would recommend this hotel with no hesitation
Sashen was amazing
On the day, sashen made it so stress free, nothing was too small! I couldn't thank him enough for everything! The marquee was beautiful, and so much space! Looked absolutely stunning with it all set up with my flowers etc! The octagon suite where we got married was beautiful too! The food was amazing! I cannot recommend enough!
An amazing day
Sashen the wedding planner really worked hard to ensure we had a really special day. At each point Sashen confirmed and double checked all the finer details.
On the day, everything went perfectly. The venue worked with our suppliers to ensure the marquee looked stunning and with the warm glow of the fairy lights just added the finishing touch.
The waiting team were outstanding and they were so attentive and helpful. The food was delicious and everyone complimented us on how lovely it was but also how everyone was served at the same time which we know is not always an easy task at a big event like a wedding. But us and our guests were impressed but how the food was plentiful and still piping hot. We definitely liked the selection of courses available and our guests loved being able to have a choice.
So many of our guests commented on the politeness of the food and beverage team but how good the staff were at keeping the wait at the bar down.
The room we slept in had been decorated and a complimentary bottle of bubbly and chocolate strawberries were left for us to enjoy which was such a lovely touch.
Perfect venue for our big family wedding
From the first moment we visited we knew that it was the place for us.
We wanted an afternoon wedding with one meal sitting so we could have all guests to the whole day. We went for their twilight package which was amazing value and we upgraded the buffet to a hog roast. The food was stunning, I’ve had nothing but complements.
When the day came, nothing was too much. The amazing wedding coordinator was on hand all day to make sure it all went smoothly, we had brought our own cakes which they displayed perfectly, even labelling them for us when we forgot, and they were very understanding when we ran slightly behind, anything they did on the day they made sure to run past me to make sure that it was what I wanted. Both Sashen and Grace were wonderful and on hand the whole day to answer any questions I had.
At every point during my experience with The Holiday Inn Dover I was listened to and any questions I had were answered swiftly: they were very good when we tailored the package to our need, adding and exchanging parts to make it exactly how we wanted it to be.
The DJ was included in the package and he was fantastic taking everything I asked for into account and was very patient when we were asking for new songs on the day.
The marquee was perfect and such a beautiful setting for our special day. I wouldn’t have had it any other way.
I highly recommend this venue for any weddings and special events and if you are being seen by Sashen then you are very lucky, he is such a lovely person and again nothing is too much!
