Wight Pubs, Hotels & Events is a family-owned and operated business located in Rookley on the beautiful Isle of Wight. Four exceptional venues in stunning locations are available, ranging from coastal villages to rural landscapes.

Outside catering forms part of the family business. If you have a location or venue, Wight Pubs, Hotels & Events would welcome the opportunity to provide the catering and bar services for your wedding, celebration or event.

At Wight Pubs, Hotels & Events local produce is the order of the day, the chefs pride themselves on using the best of Island produce and working growers, producers and supplier as a priority, they often use home farm reared meats in the many dishes available. Local follows through to the other suppliers we are proud to be associated with, e.g. florists, confectioners, entertainment, photographers, to name a few.

The Birdham Hotel & Restaurant – Located on the edge of the beautiful seaside village of Bembridge on the eastern tip of the Island. The hotel is a sympathetically renovated Edwardian Mansion, maintaining many of the original features with a few modern twists.

The hotel boasts 10 standard rooms, 3 superior rooms, 4 garden suites (each sleeping 4 persons) and the beautiful Deluxe Suite.

The Vanassche Suite overlooking the courtyard garden comfortably seats up to 100 guests for a seated meal. Licensed to hold civil ceremonies and marriage celebrations, this stunning suite, bathed in light from the large bay windows and Edwardian-style roof lantern, crowned with a large crystal chandelier.

For a smaller, more intimate celebration, the Chart Room accommodates up to 40 guests, adjacent to the hotel lounge and bar area. This is truly a perfect location, with its roaring log fire in Winter and an outside seating area in summer.

The Chequers Inn – If you are looking for a more family-friendly venue, the Chequers Inn in Rookley is nestled in the middle of the island in a rural community. The Sun Lounge will comfortably seat 100 guests overlooking the garden area with a built-in wood-fired pizza oven and barbecue area. This comes into its own with an amazing children’s outdoor adventure play area.

The Chequers Inn has 3 beautiful bedrooms, all with stunning countryside views, located within the historic area of the Inn, maintaining many of the original features.

The White Lion – If your vision is an intimate, smaller gathering, The White Lion, Niton, is perfect for you. This historic village pub is located near the southern tip of the Island. Various areas are available for your celebration; the snug comfortably seats up to 15 guests, surrounded by historic stone walls and an original fireplace. The Lion Suite seats up to 40 guests, featuring a beautiful Inglenook fireplace and access to the extensive garden area ideal for barbecues and hog roasts.

6 bedrooms featuring classic style with a modern twist are available for guests to make your celebration a weekend to remember.

Chequers Inn Road Field – Looking for a truly unique location for your wedding or celebration? This is the venue for you, located on one of the highest plateaus on the Island with 360-degree views of the Island and beyond. Your celebration will take place in a stylish glass-fronted marquee placed to make the most of the stunning sunsets at any time of the year.

Catering for 100 - 500 guests, you won’t be short of outside space, lending itself perfectly to allowing your imagination to take flight, creating your dream celebration.
