We honestly couldn’t have asked for a more perfect wedding venue. From the moment we arrived, we knew it was something special. The setting is absolutely stunning, with beautiful grounds that gave us the perfect backdrop for both our photos and the day itself.

One of the best things about this venue is how well it works for couples who want everything in one place. We were able to have our ceremony, wedding breakfast, and evening reception all onsite, which made the day flow seamlessly and kept everything relaxed for us and our guests. The venue has a lovely garden space too, which meant we had the option of an outdoor ceremony (even though we opted for indoors) and plenty of space for guests to mingle and enjoy the sunshine. It's such a versatile space, a true blank canvas, set in the beautiful Chiltern Hills, that can be styled to suit any couple’s vision, whether you want something rustic, elegant, or more contemporary.

The food and drink were another highlight! Everything was absolutely delicious, and the wine pairings were spot on. The pizza chef in the evening was a huge hit with everyone, not just for his tasty pizzas but also for the fun, personal drawings he added to the boxes. It’s those quirky little touches that made the day feel so memorable.

The staff were phenomenal from start to finish. Every single person we encountered was friendly, attentive, and genuinely seemed to care about making our day the best it could be. The bedrooms are all unique and full of character, and having our loved ones stay on site made the whole weekend feel extra special.

It was also brilliant value for money considering everything that’s included, we just wish we could do it all over again! We can’t recommend this venue highly enough to any couple looking for a beautiful, flexible space where the entire day can come together effortlessly.

We had an absolutely wonderful wedding, with a very special thanks to Lara, who we cannot recommend highly enough. From start to finish, she was organised, calm, and genuinely invested in making our day perfect. Planning a wedding can be overwhelming, but Lara made the entire process feel seamless and enjoyable.

Our venue, King’s Chapel, looked stunning on the day, and that was largely thanks to Lara’s attention to detail and clear coordination with all vendors. She anticipated things we wouldn’t have thought of, handled logistics effortlessly, and ensured everything ran smoothly so we could truly relax and enjoy our wedding.

Very cool venue, not too big and just the right size for the event we wanted. We were able to put our own twist on the decor and the staff were, attentive, friendly and happy to help us on and before our day.

Kings Chapel was really perfect for our wedding - the setting is stunning, easy to get to and has everything you need for large events.

The ability to have everything in one place was really important for us, and the flexibility of the different spaces should the weather not be great. The Chapel itself is gorgeous.

The meals provided by Kings Chapel were absolutely incredible. We had originally wanted to bring our own caterers but this wasn't allowed - however we were blown away with the quality of the food.

The staff on the day (particularly Astel) were amazing and super attentive. We had quite a few food and drink allergy requirements that they handled very carefully and professionally and we really appreciated that.

Our only criticism would be that we sometimes felt that we weren't a big budget wedding so didn't always have the same assistance as others - but all staff were genuinely lovely and a delight and we'd recommend this venue to anyone - we and our guests had an incredible day. Thank you!

Kings Chapel was a brilliant place for our wedding and we will tell you why.
We picked three venues to visit and kings chapel was by far the most welcoming, friendly and easiest to deal with, along with being an absolutely stunning venue in a beautiful location. The attention to the little things were there from the start; a cuppa on arrival, meeting sallieann and the team. They were enthusiastic, friendly and helpful from the start and that continued throughout our entire experience with them.
The costings were straightforward with nothing hidden. You know you're going to spend a lot on your big day, but it feels well spent at the kings arms and kings Chapel.
Our various questions and queries were always dealt with professionally and promptly.
There is a lot to think about, so get prepared to produce spreadsheets to collate all of the information about your guests, dietary requirements etc. We had a few tricky guests and an alphabet of allergies/dietary requirements but the kings chapels team and kitchen staff took it all in their stride and dealt with it all seamlessly.
The kitchen team produced fantastic food on the day and the food and wine tasting we attended a few months prior to our wedding was a really enjoyable experience.
Our wedding day was wonderful and one that we and our guests will remember. All our guests have told us what a brilliant day they had.
Thanks to the kings Chapel/kings arms, Sallieann and the rest of the team (it really is a team effort). Everyone works hard to make your day one to be remembered, run as stress free as possible and really just enjoyable from start to finish. The day goes by too fast!
To sum up... a great venue, well run by a friendly, experienced, and professional team. A great service for a fair price.

The venue itself is a stunning mix of historic charm and modern comfort. It was the perfect size for our guest list—intimate enough to feel personal, but spacious enough that it never felt crowded. We made great use of the outdoor space, and the setting in Old Amersham provided the most beautiful backdrop for our photos.

We also stayed on-site at the Kings Arms (the hotel attached to the venue), which made the end of the night so easy. The honeymoon suite was incredible—huge, immaculate, and very romantic. It was the perfect way to end the celebration.

We were married at King’s Chapel in Old Amersham on Saturday 26th April 2025, and the entire experience was nothing short of exceptional. The venue itself is beautiful, atmospheric, and perfectly suited to a wedding that feels both intimate and memorable. What truly elevated the day, however, was the outstanding planning and coordination provided by Mrs Sallieann Davis.
From our very first meeting, Sallieann made us feel genuinely special and completely at ease. Her knowledge of weddings at King’s Chapel, and of wedding planning in general, was extraordinary. There was not a single question she could not answer, and her experience showed in every conversation. She brought a wealth of brilliant ideas to the table and guided us effortlessly through decisions on food, lighting, flowers, seating arrangements, and the overall flow of the day within the Chapel.
What truly set Sallieann apart was her meticulous attention to detail and the kindness she showed us throughout the entire process. Her level of care was unlike anything we have experienced before. Nothing felt rushed, nothing was overlooked, and nothing was ever too much trouble. She anticipated issues before they arose and dealt with them calmly and discreetly, allowing us to relax and enjoy the planning process.
We had 100 guests and a number of moving parts: beautiful flowers, the in-house catering team at King’s Chapel, our cake supplied by Cakes of Curiosity, live music from Black Market as well as Helen & Wez, men’s clothing sourced locally from HTR Clothing in Amersham, and guest accommodation arranged at The King’s Arms and The Crown. Coordinating all of this could easily have been overwhelming, but Sallieann handled everything with absolute precision and professionalism.
She also went above and beyond in ways that were entirely unexpected. She discreetly arranged several off-the-record surprises for our guests, which elevated the whole experience and created moments people are still talking about. Every element felt thoughtful, seamless, and perfectly timed within the unique setting of King’s Chapel.
We were very clear that we wanted a fun, relaxed, and joyful day, and Sallieann delivered exactly that. Anyone who speaks with her will immediately understand what we mean.
On the day itself, everything ran as smoothly as silk. There was not a single hiccup. The schedule flowed beautifully, the Chapel looked stunning, our guests were relaxed and happy, and we were able to enjoy every moment without stress or concern.
Sallieann is, quite simply, outstanding. She delivered an 11/10 experience and exceeded every expectation we had. We had an amazing wedding at the Kings Chapel, it’s very hard to describe in words. We loved the venue as soon as we saw it, especially the fact that the pub stays open until 2am, knowing our guest list we knew this would be a winner. We absolutely loved the setting, and the fact we could get married in the gorgeous church a few steps away sealed the deal. From the get go- Sallieann and her team were incredibly supportive and helpful (not least because we toured the venue when o was heavily pregnant, and got married when our daughter was 10 months). We felt like everything was dealt with, with patience and understanding as our sleep deprived brains definitely asked the same questions 1000 times. We had a very large wedding and felt that the venue did an amazing job at catering to the number of guests - and any intricacies that came along with it. The day felt calm, the atmosphere was fantastic and everyone had rave reviews of the day itself and the food was a huge hit. It will be a day we will never forget and we thank the kings chapel team for making it so special for us!

We had our wedding at The Kings Chapel in November and can’t recommend enough. It was the first and only venue we viewed and such an easy decision for us to make.

The Kings Chapel is a hidden gem, set back from the main high street. It's a beautiful location with so many lovely photo opportunities to capture your perfect day.
There are so many lovely features, you really can choose the level to which you want to decorate.
We had the most amazing day, it was exactly what we wanted. Sallianne and all the staff were amazing. We had so many lovely comments about the venue, staff and the food. We would highly recommend the Kings Chapel and the wonderful staff.

Seams Possible and Wed2be- best for dress and alterations. Leanne Goodall - best for hair. On 13th April 2025 Kimberley and I got married at The Kings Chapel. The entire experience from the moment we booked the venue up to the wedding day was fantastic. Salli- Ann and Keira were excellent through out and were always there to answer questions and suggest ideas. One of the reasons we chose this venue was because when we went to look round the venue and in the brochure there were photos of same sex marriages. We knew we would be made to feel very welcome, which we were and we would highly recommend this venue to same sex couples. All our guests loved the venue and with a large number of rooms on site it meant all guests could stay which was important to us. The venue is so beautiful and lived up to expectations, I just wish we could do it all over again! Thank you to everyone at the venue that made our special day extra special from start to finish.

We couldn’t recommend the King’s Chapel enough as a wedding venue. It’s such a quiet and beautiful place. The food was amazing and there was so much of it. Our wedding co-ordinator Lara was so kind and helpful and answered any questions we had with no judgement. We had so many positive comments from our guests too which speaks volumes. All the event staff were great. Just nothing but high praise all round. Thank you!!
