We honestly couldn’t have asked for a more perfect wedding venue. From the moment we arrived, we knew it was something special. The setting is absolutely stunning, with beautiful grounds that gave us the perfect backdrop for both our photos and the day itself.

One of the best things about this venue is how well it works for couples who want everything in one place. We were able to have our ceremony, wedding breakfast, and evening reception all onsite, which made the day flow seamlessly and kept everything relaxed for us and our guests. The venue has a lovely garden space too, which meant we had the option of an outdoor ceremony (even though we opted for indoors) and plenty of space for guests to mingle and enjoy the sunshine. It's such a versatile space, a true blank canvas, set in the beautiful Chiltern Hills, that can be styled to suit any couple’s vision, whether you want something rustic, elegant, or more contemporary.

The food and drink were another highlight! Everything was absolutely delicious, and the wine pairings were spot on. The pizza chef in the evening was a huge hit with everyone, not just for his tasty pizzas but also for the fun, personal drawings he added to the boxes. It’s those quirky little touches that made the day feel so memorable.

The staff were phenomenal from start to finish. Every single person we encountered was friendly, attentive, and genuinely seemed to care about making our day the best it could be. The bedrooms are all unique and full of character, and having our loved ones stay on site made the whole weekend feel extra special.

It was also brilliant value for money considering everything that’s included, we just wish we could do it all over again! We can’t recommend this venue highly enough to any couple looking for a beautiful, flexible space where the entire day can come together effortlessly.

I genuinely surprised myself with how calm I was on the day, and that was completely because I knew everything was being taken care of. We didn’t have to worry about a thing, which meant our family could be completely immersed in the day and enjoy every moment with us.

My husband and I wanted a really relaxed wedding and wanted to stick to a budget but had a large guest list. The Kings Chapel ticked all the boxes. We were assigned Lara as our wedding co-ordinator who was amazing from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble. Food was delicious. We opted for the bbq but was served to the tables and was delicious. We had Pizza in the evening. Everything went so smoothly and Lara was so relaxed and met all of our requests and put me at ease in what can be quite a stressful time. We thoroughly enjoyed our day. The staff were fantastic and I'd highly recommend Kings Chapel. It was our dream day. Thank you all x

We stumbled across this gem of a venue and couldn't be happier we found it.
It felt like 'home' and somewhere we both felt instantly comfortable.

Throughout our initial walk throughs, the possibilities of what we could do was endless, and led by expert advice from a number of the team at the venue.
Since then, we have been lucky enough to pop back for informal check ins, food tasting and even celebrating the '1 year countdown' to which we were greeted by some of the team. Each of these visits were valuable with our planning and peace of mind stages and never felt like a chore to go and do as we genuinely looked forward to seeing the team as well as the venue.

The running of the day we done seamlessly, with some of guests saying 'we didn't see your wedding planners at all' - which we commented back 'why would you need to when everything is going to plan'.
It isn't always being the face, but the efforts behind the scenes that allowed us to enjoy our day as well as vendors do what they do best too & we couldn't be more grateful for this approach.

Anyone thinking about booking this venue, please don't hesitate to - we not only had the best day of our lives, but the most fun planning the day as well.

Our wedding at the King’s Chapel was absolutely perfect. We felt very well cared for in the planning stage, never made to feel like anything was too much trouble, all our ideas were listened to and executed perfectly. The actual wedding day went better than we could have ever imagined. Everything ran so smoothly that we did not even have to think of anything, it had already been taken care of. The staff were extremely friendly, professional and approachable. Sallieann and Lara in particular were amazing and helped to ensure our day was perfect from start to finish! Would highly recommend!

We had an absolutely incredible wedding day at the Kings Chapel back in May of this year.

The venue itself is beautiful, quirky, and we loved having everything on site - with the option to have guests also stay down the road at their sister hotel, The Crown.

The staff on the day were incredible, everything went smoothly - we even had to adapt some timings last minute and the team executed it swiftly and smoothly.

A special shout out must go to Lara who was absolutely incredible in the lead up to the day, and on the day itself. She answered many, many emails and questions and was always so professional and lovely - she really made us feel well looked after.

The food was incredible! We were a bit indecisive, and after our initial menu tasting, we decided we wanted something else - so the team were super accommodating and invited us back for another tasting of a different menu. My husband (still feels weird saying that 😅) has some intolerances, and these were very well catered for on the day so he had no stresses about having a reaction or being unwell on the day!

We got married in the walled garden which was the most beautiful setting for our vows. We then had the meal in the main hall which had been decorated so beautifully- it’s such a show-stopping space!

Shoutout to the aircon because we got married on a heatwave weekend!

Random one but the venue accepts AMEX so we were able to pay our instalments on that card and earn lots of Avios points which was a nice perk.

When we started our search for a venue - we were initially looking at standalone venues, which were coming back with absolutely crazy ridiculous quotes. At this point we started looking at hotels which we’d heard through friends were a more affordable venue option. Then the Kings Chapel popped up - it’s the best of both worlds - exclusive use feel, attached to a pub hotel!

There were so many reasons why my husband and I chose Kings Chapel as our wedding venue. From the moment you arrive at the Kings Arms Hotel, which is connected to the chapel, the charm of the setting is immediately apparent. Nestled in the heart of Old Amersham, within the beautiful Chiltern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, it provides the perfect backdrop for a truly memorable day.

The 17th-century chapel is tucked away behind the hotel, set back from the road, giving it a wonderfully private and intimate feel. It also benefits from a spacious car park, making it convenient for guests.

Kings Chapel is a truly unique venue. It perfectly balances historic character with a versatile, neutral space that allows couples to personalise it and bring their own vision to life. Whether your style is classic, modern or somewhere in between, the chapel provides a beautiful blank canvas to make your wedding feel completely your own.

The venue also boasts a lovely private walled garden, which was the perfect setting for our drinks reception before we moved inside for our wedding breakfast. Having everything in one place made the day so much more relaxed. From a large room to get ready in, to the stunning ceremony space, exceptional food prepared by talented chefs, a bar, a dance floor, and comfortable hotel rooms for us and our guests, every aspect of the day was thoughtfully catered for.

However, what truly sets Kings Chapel apart is its people. Nothing was ever too much trouble for Sallieann and the team in the months leading up to our wedding. They were always on hand to answer questions, offer reassurance, and help with every detail. On the day itself, Matt and his team ensured everything ran seamlessly, allowing us to relax and enjoy every moment. Their professionalism, warmth and attention to detail created such a wonderful atmosphere from start to finish and made our wedding day feel incredibly special. We couldn't have asked for a better venue or a more dedicated team to help bring our dream wedding to life.

Kings Chapel is a gem full of character hidden away in Old Amersham. The venue is presented bare, open for you to add your own special touch. My creative daughter in law did just that and on the day the Chapel looked stunning. It's a quirky building showing it's age, perhaps a little 'brush up' would do well here and there. The Staff were exceptional, always willing to assist above their duties. Alfie was especially pleasant and helpful. I was not able to get everyone's names so I'd applaud them all for their good service. The gardens, decking area and parking areas were all fresh clean and adequate. Overall a lovely venue for the celebration and for the guests who stayed in the hotel. Thank you for making Daniel and Andrea's day so special. It was a wonderful celebration with family and all who love them.

The Kings Chapel is an absolutely fantastic venue (we used them for our wedding). Lara was our main point of contact and she was great, but the whole team there are so helpful, responsive and detail oriented. From start to finish the team made sure that everything was planned out as we wanted and on the day they organised things brilliantly and really helped make the celebration perfect. Could not recommend this venue enough!

We booked this venue in October 2024. Salliann was our coordinator and rest assured Salliann knows what she's doing. You can book and do NOTHING else. Every little thing is thought of. We were easily able to keep within budget without scrimping on any details. The staff were friendly smiley and polite. Our guests all commented on what an amazing time they all had.

From the very start, the whole build-up felt calm, organised and exciting rather than stressful (which for a wedding is no small achievement). The team were brilliant at helping us plan the day while still making sure it felt completely personal to us and not like we were just picking from a standard wedding template.
The venue itself is absolutely stunning. King’s Chapel has that rare combination of being genuinely beautiful and atmospheric, while still feeling relaxed and welcoming rather than overly formal. It has huge character, incredible light and just the right amount of drama for a wedding. So many of our guests said “wow” when they walked in — which is always a good start.
On the day itself it was genuinely magical. The space works so well for moving from ceremony to celebration, and the whole place just seemed to fill with laughter, music, hugs and a fair amount of fizz.
Now, like any real wedding day, there were a couple of little hiccups along the way. But what really matters is how things are handled — and the staff were fantastic. Calm, responsive, professional and clearly determined that we were going to have the best day possible. Issues were sorted quickly and quietly and never took away from the joy of the day.
In fact, when we look back on it, the best way to describe it is practically perfect — but with just enough slightly chaotic real-life moments to make it a proper wedding rather than a staged photoshoot.

Our wedding journey was a rocky one to begin with, as our original venue unfortunately went into administration. From the very first conversation, the team at The King’s Chapel were absolutely incredible and helped put us to be completely at ease during what was a very stressful time.

They took the time to explain everything clearly, answer all of our questions, and reassure us throughout the entire process. We had several one to one meetings with Sallyann, Kiera, and the wider team, all of whom were friendly, professional, and genuinely invested in making our day perfect. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, you could truly tell they would move heaven and earth to make our wedding special.

And special it was. The day itself ran so smoothly and felt completely magical from start to finish. The attention to detail and seamless coordination allowed us to relax and fully enjoy every moment.

The food was fantastic. We chose the BBQ menu for the day, which went down extremely well with our guests, followed by oven-baked pizzas in the evening that everyone absolutely loved. The team also accommodated guests who wished to stay at the hotel both the night before and the night of the wedding, which made the whole experience even more relaxed and enjoyable for everyone.

We cannot thank The King’s Chapel team enough for turning what began as a stressful situation into the most incredible wedding day we could have asked for. We would wholeheartedly recommend them to any couple looking for a venue that truly cares and delivers something truly special.
