The venue was stunning; the food, drink and service on the day were outstanding; and, most importantly, the team there were exceptional. From the very start of the process, when we were just having a look at the place as a potential venue, to the end the morning after our wedding (we and a lot of our guests stayed at the King's Arms the night of the wedding), the team were incredibly helpful: responsive, professional, accommodating and, moreover, genuinely lovely people who were a pleasure to deal with; they took so much of the stress of organising our big day off our shoulders that they made it a breeze for us. We and all of our guests had a perfect day. We will treasure the memories of it forever and we can't thank the Kings Chapel team enough, or recommend them highly enough to really do them justice.Nothing short of perfect! The King's Chapel was the second venue I looked at, and it was just perfect. From the homely village-esque pub with a beautiful log fire in the hotel reception, to the amazing freestanding dome in the Chapel, everything was just beautiful. There are so many places for people to congregate - the garden, the balcony, the Chapel, the reception, the bar - you never have to force people into the same area. The part I loved the most was that you'd never know the Chapel existed from the high street - it's like a magical world you enter through the archway of the hotel. I absolutely love this venue, but what really put the icing on the cake were the events coordinators that take you through the whole process. They have extensive experience, and go through every possible plan/question you might have. They're always available to help and absolutely lovely. All the coordinators are excellent, but our specific coordinator Alexis, was the most helpful, kind and personable coordinator! Venue Service By Phil Taylor, on 30 Nov 2018Date of Wedding - 17 Nov 2018 The Kings Chapel was actually only the second venue we saw when we started the mammoth task of trying to find the perfect wedding venue. After that all the other venues were always dismissed as ‘not being as good’ and when we received the extremely reasonable worst case scenario pricing the mind was pretty much made up. Our coordinator Tash couldn’t have been anymore helpful if she’d tried. From last minute changes in attendance numbers to sorting a bespoke starter, she along with her demon colleagues made the whole run up smooth, organised and pretty much close to perfect. And what’s not to like? Yes the rooms are sparse decor wise but that then gives you scope to design it yourself! We used venue decorators Ever After to create a perfect scene for us (recommended to us by Kings chapel in the first place) and together they nailed it for us with amazing floral arrangements and a brilliant light canopy going from the balcony to the top of the service area. If you are looking for simplicity this is it. All accommodation is onsite, the venue is licensed for weddings, they re-purpose that room for the breakfast and then the reception can be held after in the room next door. No ferrying of guests back and forth! And so long as the rooms above the bar are filled by the guests you can keep the Kings Arms bar open til 2am! Everything you need in one neatly packaged bundle. Oh and the bride and grooms room came free. It was without a doubt the best day of my life, and helped massively by Tash and the team at the Kings Arms and Chapel. We can’t thank them enough for what they did. The King's Chapel was the second venue I looked at, and it was just perfect.
