Unique and Unusual Wedding Venues in South East - England

We had our wedding reception here in the Halo room and it was fantastic. The venue was well sized for our 80 guests (although it can easily hold over 100). We picked the BBQ food menu and this was amazing; the beef in particular was very tasty. The views overlooking the pitch are fantastic and we also got a Congratulations message for us displayed on the 2 big screens inside the stadium which was very cool to see! The wedding events team are also very friendly and incredibly organised to make sure everything runs smoothly. We are very grateful for the wonderful experience that we were able to have here and would highly recommend.

I attended a wedding, just before the end of the year, of a couple who wanted the gravitas of a beautiful historic building in which to exchange their vows, in their case in a humanist ceremony. Decorated with breath-taking simplicity, the Town Hall's largest space - the grand Corn Exchange - hosted about 160 guests for a happy, serious and very personal ceremony. It is difficult to image anything more perfect. What a joyous occasion.

Mia and the team at Pierremont Hall are absolutely fantastic, they dealt with every query and question with professionalism, and even handled us being super last minute on some decisions with ease. We couldn't recommend them enough!

I cannot recommend Fort Nelson enough. We had the most fabulous day with the most amazing memories. The food and staff were incredible. Love, love this place

Selecting The Orangery for our Christmas wedding in December 2025 was the best choice we could have made! I cannot recommend the venue enough, not only is it a simply beautiful setting with incredible spots around the buildings and grounds for photography, but the interior for a classic, winter wedding is exactly how I dreamed it would be. Beyond that, it’s the team that made it such a perfect choice. Throughout the year they were supportive, positive, and so helpful on every request. There are lots of unknowns when planning your big day and the things you may dwell on or worry over ie timing, are handled expertly by The Orangery who do this day in day out - and yet treat your day like it’s the priority of the year. Closer to the date we worked with Jaime who was faultless. Responsive, organised, a pleasure to chat to. Then on the day, increase this tenfold! I knew I could trust every detail was in hand and I didn’t have to remember or remind or worry about a thing. They work with brilliant suppliers who are worth exploring, as they fit into the Orangery teamwork seamlessly. The wider Orangery team were incredible too, and all of our guests remarked on their perfect service. The food was so highly raved about as the best wedding food they’d had, and this was so important to us. Overall, our day was above and beyond what I envisioned (and I know I had a very clear picture in my mind!) We are so grateful to The Orangery team for a day to remember ✨

Rachel was our events manager and we honestly can't speak more highly of her, professional throughout with constant communication and extremely supportive. The venue for us was just perfect, a venue like no other. All the guests was in awe of how beautiful and picturesque it was for our wedding venue.

I want to write to thank you for all of your help, support and advice with organising the recent party on Temple Island. Temple Island was simply the perfect and most delightful setting for the party and especially meaningful to the many rowers in attendance. In addition to this both Meridian Marquees and Elegant Cuisine were first class suppliers. In short, the party was truly amazing and will be long remembered by all - Temple Island is not only unique but also a very special venue.

This venue was just the perfect place for our wedding- we have a lot train enthusiasts in the family so it seem the obvious choice, but more than this was the people behind the scenes. Belinda was just something else, we were so lucky to have met such a wonder and enthusiastic events coordinator. The staff operating our train were also a delight and made out guests feel like they very special with once in a life time footplate rides for some. We got married on what was the tail end of storm Amy, so the venue provided plenty of space for our guests to roam around and when it was dry, people were in awe of the place. I really cannot recommend this place more, we plan to visit yearly, thats how much we love it. The venue has a great working relationship with many local caterers and services and all of them just provided a wonderful day, with no dramas, smiles and perfectionism all around. So pleased we chose this little gem of railway nostalgia.

From planning months ahead through to the big day, the experience was fantastic. Lera managed the process by helping us to shape our vision with suggestions and enthusiasm. She really was an integral part of the event. We never had to worry at any stage (including on the day) and everything happened seamlessly. The whole staff at the VBG during the party supported us with positivity and smiles. We would firmly recommend this as a venue for your special day.
