De Vere Latimer Estate is a wedding venue in Latimer, Buckinghamshire. This beautiful Victorian mansion house is steeped in history and set amidst 30 acres of some of the most stunningly picturesque countryside anywhere in the county. Landscaped gardens surround the house, and the property affords outstanding views across the Chess Valley.
Inside, you and your guests will find a perfect blend of old and new. De Vere Latimer Estate retains its original charm and unique character and provides all the latest facilities and comforts that the modern couple expects with 205 thoughtfully furnished guest bedrooms and suites.
Set in the Buckinghamshire countryside, yet just a 10 minute drive from Junction 18 of the M25 and a 5 minute drive from the Metropolitan line, making it idea for bringing together your guests.
You and your guests will be wowed by the stylish guest bedrooms and delicious wedding menus curated by our executive chef and a dedicated wedding team. We will work with you every step of the way to ensure every detail is cared for to create an unforgettable day.
Facilities and Capacity
The Cavendish Suite is located in the historic Latimer House, discover the elegantly refurbished Cavendish Suite for 70 - 180 guests. Seamlessly blending modern décor with Victorian architecture, this room is licensed for civil ceremonies which provides the backdrop to your wedding ceremonies and parties. With its own bar and with large glass doors that open straight onto the grounds, where you can also host your ceremony.
The Cheyne Suite is also located in the 1838 Mansion House, With traditional period features, including dramatic ceilings and fireplace. It is perfeclty suited for an elegant intimate wedding of 15 - 30 guests. They Cheyne Suite is located on the ground floor of the house, and you can enjoy its scenic private terrace with access to the grounds with your guests.
St Mary Magdalene Church
If you would prefer a traditional church ceremony, you'll find the beautiful 18th-Century Church of England, St Mary Magdalene Church right here in the grounds of the estate.

Our wedding review 24Apr26
The staff were very accommodating as the bride is coeliac and there were other allergies in the party. The food was amazing and made gluten free throughout the drinks reception canapes and wedding breakfast through to the evening reception.
Detailed planning sessions with Amy and Bea from arranging the date right up to the big day. Everything we hoped would be our special day came to life.
We had the luxury package which included wedding stationery and the DJ and drinks for the reception and dinner.
We loved that everything from the ceremony to the evening party was all in one place and our guests could stay overnight. There's plenty of accommodation and parking. Feedback from our guests was that they were very impressed with the venue and had a great day.
Great value for money (note you need to pay for the registrars separately, this isn't included as part of the wedding package). We highly recommend the venue for your wedding.
Stunning Venue and Amazing Staff Team
A huge thank you to our wedding planner, Amy Burridge, who was exceptional from start to finish. She always went above and beyond to make sure every detail was taken care of and made the whole planning process so much easier and stress-free.
We’d also like to give special recognition to Alex, the Events Manager, and Lucy, the supervisor on the day, who were both fantastic. The bar staff and waiting staff were equally impressive—nothing was ever too much trouble, and they looked after us and our guests so well.
A very special mention must go to Daniel, who consistently went above and beyond every time we visited the venue. He was incredibly helpful, particularly when assisting us with setting up the day before the wedding, and his kindness and dedication did not go unnoticed.
So many of our guests commented on how wonderful, friendly, and attentive all the staff were, which really helped make our day so memorable.
Thank you to everyone involved for making our wedding day so special. We would wholeheartedly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a truly beautiful location with an outstanding team of people who genuinely care about making your day perfect.
Our Special Day
I loved wearing my dress even if I did trip on it a few times.
The venue let us set up the night before and Alex was brilliant clearing the room after the event, was dreading the clear up mission, all our decorations were put in a room near the main door.
Easier to pack up and load cars.
Although I was nervous getting ready the staff made me feel at ease and talked me through the whole day of what was happening next.
Feel ready for a good nights sleep.

A gorgeous location with stunning interior and views. Everything has been perfect from start to finish and the team are so kind and want to do everything to make your special day seamless!
We are both on such a high from our day and know we will be back to Latimer very soon for food and a stay as everything was flawless!
Perfect Wedding Venue
Jess made us feel so relaxed from day one (which is quite impressive as we're both quite highly strung) and walked us through everything we needed to know at every point of the process. We were so pleased with how the venue catered to all of our requests including many complicated dietary restrictions, a coeliac bride, a first look on the iconic staircase, incorporating traditional liquor from my family, an L shaped aisle, and organising a pre-wedding day meal for our guests.
When the day before the wedding arrived, we felt so at ease from the second we arrived and knew exactly how to contact our on-the-day coordinator (Bea) for anything we needed. We both had gorgeous rooms to get ready in and everything on the wedding day ran with complete professional precision.
We were so happy with how the day went at the time, and looking back we can't find a single thing we could fault. Latimer made our day literally and completely perfect!
We will cherish the beautiful memories we made there forever and can't recommend them enough - we know we made the 100% right choice to host our special day here. Thank you so much Jess, Bea and the rest of the Latimer team.
Scenic wedding venue
Suites available for guests and couples are of very good standard. Would definitely recommend booking either for wedding venue or stay over trip.
Our perfect wedding day
Jess and her team were incredible throughout the whole planning process, giving us advice and reassurance and scheduling meetings at various points to ensure everything was on schedule.
Nothing was ever too much trouble and our experience was really enjoyable. It was so nice to feel confident that a bulk of the planning was taken care of by true professionals who have run hundreds of weddings and really know their stuff in the industry.
It was small stuff like Jess suggesting we had our ceremony a little earlier at noon to make the most of the daylight, which we wouldn’t have necessarily considered. We were also able to invite our dog for some of the day for some photos, which truly meant the world.
Jess organised for us to enjoy a fabulous menu tasting. Where to begin with the food… the choices, the menus and the quality of the food was absolutely fantastic. We had so many compliments on the day by our guests who loved our wedding breakfast. We were all wined and dined all day long with canapés, drinks, a three course dinner and food into the evening, with the wood fired pizzas being a huge hit with our guests.
We enjoyed the most incredible, emotional and fun filled day from start to finish, fully supported by Jess, Karina and Bea who were amazing all day long. They could not have done more for us. They helped to coordinate our beautiful ceremony room, set up our eating area and brought all of our dreams to reality with a gift table, Christmas tree, cheese stack and cake which they even decorated for us.
We had a wonderful toastmaster, Nick, on the day who helped the day flow.
From saying our vows in the Cavendish Suite to enjoying our three course dinner and then dancing the night away with our live band, our guests enjoyed spilling out into the Huntley Bar to recline on sofas and enjoy sparklers on the steps of the mansion. It was magical.
We can’t put into words how pleased we are that we chose De Vere Latimer as our wedding venue and it will always hold a special place in our hearts.

A beautiful wedding venue with superb service
Amazing wedding venue
We had the pleasure of hosting our wedding at De Vere Latimer estate in June 2024.
We had Jess as our events manager and she made all the planning so simple and easy. We got to catch up with her before the wedding at different points to make sure we were all on schedule and to answer all our questions.
On the day before the wedding and on the day itself it was wonderful to have Jess around as she offered all the last min support we needed and put us at ease.
We had the wonderful Karina running the day, keeping across the set up, suppliers and guests’ needs. She made sure everything flowed smoothly and she would handle any requests we had straight away.
She is a massive asset to the venue and anybody getting married will be lucky to have her run the day!
The food was delicious and even ticked all the boxes for our most picky eaters.
Lots of the guests commented that this was the best wedding food they have ever had!
The venue both inside and outside created amazing opportunities for our photographer to take beautiful shots.
I cannot thank the whole team enough for making it the most memorable day of our lives.
