Amazing. Exceeded every expectation

Best wedding I've ever been to, and it was mine!
We had a small ceremony with 45 odd guests but a big evening party catering for 130. Great location, easy to find and get to for all our guests with ample parking, friendly staff from Sophie the wedding coordinator who was on it throughout, the service and the food at the tasting where we first met the lovely Ernest, from the moment we checked in with Mina at reception on the day, to the catering team and Tim who all couldn't do enough, the lovely bar staff who had amazing energy throughout the evening, the DJ Joe who was full of surprises, and Amanda and Andrea who were on hand all day for our every need. And not forgetting all those who worked behind the scenes to deliver tasty food that met all our dietary needs, and an exceptionally clean hotel. Great value venue for a day that was above and beyond our expectations.
We have left there with new friends and smiles bigger than my dress!

So accommodating

Sophie made this experience as easy and enjoyable as she possibly could. She was always quick to respond, kept us in the loop with relevant government changes and was so flexible and accommodating with last minute changes and personal things we wanted to make the day special. We honestly could not have asked for more and we had the most special and intimate wedding thanks to Sophie and the team at the Mercure.

Dream wedding day

From start to finish was perfect the staff was all so friendly and helpful. The food was amazing all our guest all commented on how delicious it was.
I could not recommend more the mercure hotel we had the most amazing wedding day was completely stress free and we can't thank all the team enough for making our day so special.

Everything you could wish for!

A week later and we still haven’t come back down to earth – we just want to relive every second of our wedding at the Mercure Tunbridge Wells. It’s been a long journey, complete with COVID postponement, but it was worth every single day of the extra year’s wait. We cannot thank the hotel enough for their support concerning this – they made what could have been a very stressful and costly process so easy and at absolutely no extra cost to us at all. Sophie and her team have been a dream, and on the day, the coordinators, restaurant/kitchen staff, etc were all wonderful. Professional, attentive and so friendly! We would recommend this venue to absolutely everyone. We had the wedding anyone and everyone would wish for!

Fantastic Wedding Day

We only had 6 months to plan our special day and Sophie was so good we didn't worry about a thing she help organise it perfectly and stress free. The day was perfect from when I arrived all the staff that played a part in our special day was so helpful and friendly. All the cooked food was perfect all served hot and quickly and all our guests commented on how nice the food was. Our experience we couldn't fault we stayed at the hotel 2 nights after our wedding and the staff continued with the great service and made us feel welcome. Would highly recommend.

Couldnt have chosen a better venue

Thank you so much!

A massive thank you for making our special day run so smoothly. Every single staff member from the organisation, waiters, waitresses, bar staff and receptionists were extremely friendly, professional and so approachable. It made our day relaxing and stress free so that we could enjoy the day. Every guest without fail said that the food and service was fantastic and that it was the best wedding they had been to. Absolutely perfect!

We had our Wedding reception here this weekend and would like to thank all the staff very much for everything they have done to make our day run smoothly. Our day was just perfect. From the very beginning talking to our Wedding organisers Sophie and Kirsten through to the actual day nothing was ever too much of a problem. The staff on the day were amazing very helpful making sure everything was to our liking. The food was amazing so a big thank you to the chef. All our friends and family commented to how lovely it was. Our room was lovely too. So a big thank you once again to all of the staff involved who helped make our day run smoothly ??

Absolutely Perfect!

If any one is planning a wedding and not booked yet, I can not recommend this hotel enough. My daughter got married here 21/04/17 and have to say everything went perfectly, from the first meeting with Sophie the wedding organiser, to the special day, nothing was too much trouble. All the staff went above and beyond to make my daughters wedding a very special day to remember, and cannot thank them enough. If I had to do it all again, this would be my first choice. A very big thank you to Nathan the hotel manager and his team, for an unbelievable day and night x

Lovely Day!

I got married here on the 23rd September 2017. We had been planning a year and this was the first venue we had looked at, I fell in love so we booked it and I was over the moon. Sophie the wedding planner was amazing, I stayed the night before and booked a big room so it was easy for me my bridesmaids, hair, makeup, photographer and videographer to all be in.
Overall me and my husband did have a lovely day!

Wedding reception venue

We held our wedding reception at the Mercure Tunbridge wells in September 2015. In the run up we dealt with Sophie who was a very helpful advisor in various matters. The day was wonderful and the room decorated beautifully, we had our drinks and canepes in the courtyard area where there was room for younger guests to play. The food was delicious if the service was a little slow- but we didn't notice this at all although we came out of room when evening guests were already arriving. The toast master was excellent and announced guests for our line up brilliantly and tried to keep the day moving well. Our bridal suite was lovely 2 separate rooms. The venue suited us perfectly as there were toons for guests to stay in and it was near the church we held our ceremony in. Thank you all at the Mercure for your help and baking our day so special.

Incredible day, would totally recommend!

My wife and I got married on Friday 9th Sept and it was amazing! We dealt with Sophie who was in communication the whole way through and made the process very easy and stress free (no matter how many emails/questions I asked). We had Ian on the night of our wedding who was amazing - he even joined us for a cuppa at the end of the night during a small political debate haha! The suite we got was brilliant, although the only thing I'd say is that there was no air con and if it wasn't for the industrial sixes fan we would've melted! All in all we loved having our reception at Mercure and would 100% recommend!
