Castle Wedding Venues in South East - England

My wife and I just recently got married at the incredible venue that was Chiddingstone Castle. We had an amazing day very much supported by the beautiful venue and very helpful staff. Many people commented how calm we both seemed on the day of the wedding and it's safe to say the professional Chiddingstone team were behind that. I could not recommend Chiddingstone castle enough. The spectacular setting, staff, food, drinks - all of it was perfect. We had a guest list of 80 hosted dinner in the great hall which felt like a good number for that room and packing out the dance floor. The outdoor orangery for the ceremony was stunning. The staff and wedding co-ordinator team took care of all the little details on the day and handled all the communications between our various suppliers. We also felt that the venue was really good value for money and we were very fortunate to find the venue after sorting through hundreds online. We had always dreamed of having a wedding somewhere beautiful, historic and truly special, and Leeds Castle was everything we could have hoped for. The venue itself is absolutely stunning, but what made the whole experience even better was the team. We planned the wedding ourselves with no previous experience, so at the beginning we were quite nervous about whether we could manage everything. From our first viewing through to the wedding day, the Leeds Castle team were always professional, friendly and very helpful. They supported us through every stage of the planning, answered our questions quickly and helped us with all the small details. We always felt that our ideas and requests were listened to and taken seriously. The package they offered us also worked really well within our budget, and having our wedding at Leeds Castle was worth every penny. Everything on the wedding day ran very smoothly. The team worked really well with our caterers and florist, and both we and our guests felt very well looked after. Our guests who stayed overnight at the Castle also had a wonderful experience and really enjoyed the hospitality. A special thank you to Katie, who supported us throughout the whole planning process. She was always quick to respond, gave us very useful advice and often thought ahead about things we had not considered ourselves. For us and our guests, the whole experience was truly unforgettable. We feel very lucky to have celebrated our wedding at Leeds Castle and would happily recommend it to other couples.

We are beyond grateful for the wedding of our dreams coming to life at Lympne Castle. We fell in love with this venue on our first visit and cancelled all our other venues as we could simply not have had our wedding anywhere else. Joy, our wedding planner at the castle, brought every detail to life with such care and attention to detail. The food was incredible with big portions that are often not found at weddings, including the fantastic Focaccia bread that everyone devoured instantly. Every guest said they have never seen such a beautiful wedding venue and we will certainly be visiting again soon. Thank you to all the team and staff who worked at our wedding! Lily & Ethan.

We felt the planning and communication was great and straight forward. Everyone we spoke to was helpful and kind and we are grateful for your service and the quick turnaround to make our day happen! Picking the best part of the day is a tricky one - it was all fantastic from the food, location, weather, customer service that I don't think there was anything we would want to change or have any different. Overall we're super happy we decided to go ahead this year and get married at Amberley - it was exactly what we wanted and would highly recommend other couples to have their weddings or other events at Amberley! From start to finish everyone we met at Westenhanger was friendly, reassuring and so helpful. We really felt special and like our day was all that mattered. No question was too big of an ask and any worries we had were squashed quickly. The communication through Sonas was great throughout the planning process. We really enjoyed the VIP days leading up to the big day as we got a great feel for the venue and the tasting bowls for food choices were really helpful (although literally everything tasted amazing, so it didn’t make our decision any easier!). Then meeting Josie 6 weeks beforehand to run through the day helped ensure everything was as organised as possible! As there was no event the day beforehand we were able to bring everything along with us and set up which was great instead of the morning before. We also got £300 off extras with our blue light card discount which was very handy. Huge shout out to Josie! She was so calm, cool and collected throughout the day. She managed issues like a melting cake like a pro and had a back up plan at the ready if needed. So many guests told me on the day and for many days after how wonderful the venue is. They all commented on the fact that it was absolutely stunning but also how amazing the service was. The way the servers brought out the food was very impressive!! There were no hiccups and if there was you wouldn’t notice because they got on top of it straight away. The food was a 10/10 for everybody - again lots of guests commented on this and said it was one of the best weddings they’d been to. Can’t get better than that! We would both highly recommend Westenhanger for your wedding day. Thanks so much to everyone who was involved!

We had the most magical wedding at Hever Castle! I can’t fault anything! The venue is stunning and the staff are amazing. Everything went smoothly and I was in constant contact with our wedding coordinator, Sarah, up to and on the day of our wedding. The food was fantastic. It was decorated for Christmas and that was our wedding theme and we didn’t need to add much decoration as it looked so lovely already. All our guests gave such great feedback and many said it had been the best wedding they had been too! All the staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend this as a wedding venue, you will not be disappointed! I’m just sad I can’t do it all again! Though we are going back to stay on our first wedding anniversary!!

We opted for an intimate package with Farnham Castle - after coming for one of their wedding open evenings. The organisation from that point on was absolutely amazing - we had the highly efficient Julia planning the wedding with us, and she was able to make all our dreams come true. We wanted a bespoke day and we had it! We highly recommend Farnham Castle for intimate and bigger ceremonies alike - the venue is simply magical. The food is outstanding ; canapes are creative and so tasty. Overall a wonderful experience for us and our guests!

This venue is an absolutely stunning and beautiful place—it was the perfect setting for our small wedding! Every corner of the property is gorgeous, providing an incredible backdrop for our day.A massive thank you to Cassie, Carrie and the team, who helped us immensely throughout the entire process. Cassie made everything run so smoothly and took all the stress off our shoulders. If you are looking for a breathtaking, intimate space with a team that truly cares, I cannot recommend this venue enough!

We wanted to marry somewhere that was different to all our friends but never thought we could afford a castle. We felt like royalty on the day. Our family and friends said they hadn't been to a wedding so beautiful. The food was incredible. Nothing was too much trouble. We used the castle's wedding decorator to style it for us and it looked like a magazine shoot. I would definitely recommend the castle to other couples. Thank you Castle Goring for giving my husband and I the day we never thought possible. XXX

We got married here this summer (June 04) and it couldn't have been more perfect. The people were lovely, the castle is fabulous and it was great to get married in a civil ceremony somewhere with a bit of history. We had a ceremony attended by our immediate family on a Friday with a big celebration/reception on the Saturday elsewhere. It was a wonderfully relaxed and beautiful day.
