If you are thinking of choosing this venue you won’t regret it. We had our wedding here 3 weeks ago and it was perfect!

We had a lovely meal in front of the fireplace the evening before with guests who stayed the night before. We were able to set up some of our own wedding DIY that night, with a lockable room to keep all of the boxes ready to take back after the wedding. The staff were really helpful in the set up and organising where everything could go.

We booked a family room where we could get ready next door to each other with an adjoining door, which was brilliant for hair and makeup artists to switch between each rooms.

The little barn was gorgeous for the ceremony, we had Gilt edge style the wedding and it was absolutely perfect taking the stress off designing the decor. She knows the venue so well, that it is just a breeze for her, no request was too much. The conservatory was stunning and such a great space for the breakfast and evening, with the bar close it keeps all your guests in the atmosphere meaning the dance floor was never empty!

Julieanne our wedding co-ordinator was brilliant in keeping us on track and making sure everything was perfectly in place for the big day. Shelley and the other hotel staff made everything run smoothly on the day, asking about the little details and ensuring flowers/signs/decor were moved and in place wherever it needed to go at different parts of the day.

The venue offers a toastmaster and a resident DJ who were absolutely brilliant, they attended to everything we had asked for and were great fun!
The grounds and the rooms where we stayed were beautiful - we honestly couldn’t have asked for anything more. It was stress free and the staff were on hand to help with anything we needed. All our guests complimented how good the food and how beautiful the venue was, the service provided was brilliant. Everything was set up exactly when it was planned and nothing was stressful on the day.

A really professional and fantastic hotel to host weddings.

We held our wedding at the Voco Thames in August, and it was absolutely perfect from start to finish. From the moment we booked, Julieanne and the team helped us manage all the details and took a lot of the stress away. As a DIY bride I was allowed to add my own personal flair while having support from the events team to set everything up as I wanted. They moved my flowers to the reception room so we could make the most of them. It was great to have that little bit of extra help and be able to add our own personality to the day.

On the day itself, all the staff were really warm and helpful and made sure that everything went to plan and we really felt spoiled. Our friends and family truly felt cared for which was very important for our elderly parents. They were all very well taken care of before, during and after the wedding day.

The hotel itself is a beautiful venue, we had good weather and so were able to tie the knot in the gardens with the River Thames in the background. We had lots of great pictures and family photos taken in the gardens.

We had our wedding breakfast in the Little Barn which was the perfect size for us. Service and food were great with our guest's dietary requirements and special requests all taken care of. We've had so many comments about how delicious the food was.
Andy the MC made sure the day ran smoothly and all guests were clear on where they needed to be.

We had several meetings with other vendors at the hotel and at every visit we were impressed with the staff, at every touch point they were really professional, friendly and increased our confidence in our choice.
We can’t recommend the Voco Thames highly enough for anyone looking for a wedding venue — it truly exceeded our expectations and made our day unforgettable.

We held our wedding reception at Voco Oxford Thames Hotel, and it was absolutely stunning! Everyone was so helpful, warm, and friendly, which made our (and our guests’) stay and celebration truly special and memorable.

A huge thank-you to Julieanne (our wonderful coordinator), Andy (our brilliant toastmaster), and the catering team, who went above and beyond to make everything run smoothly. The food was delicious, the service impeccable, and the atmosphere perfect. We couldn’t have asked for a better venue or a more supportive team — it was everything we hoped for and more!

The Venue's aesthetic speaks for itself this beautiful histroci building has been expanded to inkeep with the original lyout of the venue. We got married in October and the late summer allowed us to have the wedding outside infront of the rive which flows through the grounds. That also meant we could have drinks reception from the Morris Minor, a small touch which went down so well with our guests. The staff coudn't do more for us on the day and everytime we needed something they were already on it. We had some very tricky dietary requirements and the people who needed these menues have said they have never felt so included and been able to enjoy such a lovely full amount of food at a venue for a wedding before which was lovely to hear. Special shoutout to Julieanne who was our wedding co-ordinator, she was just amazing from start to finish. The only down side is the cost of the rooms. They are quite expensive and over £100 more than the sister hotel closer to the centre of Oxford. The wedding rate helped but it did price out a lot of our guests from staying.

I just got married at Voco Oxford Thames, and it was about as perfect as I could have hoped for. It was a gorgeous venue - the old buildings combined with newer bits, and the grounds down to the river, with a gazebo to get married under. The rooms we stayed in the night before, and the night of, the wedding, was large, clean, and comfy. All the amemnities were excellent. The service on the day was impeccable - everyone got the right food, there was plenty of staff and they were very prompt with the food, and attentive. They were very accomodating with two of our guests who had quite specific dietary requirements, which meant a lot to us as it allowed them to join us for the day. The food itself was also delicious! Also the organisation around the day was excellent - Julieanne and Casandra, the wedding coordinators, and Andy, the Toastmaster, were a massive help in organising and directing the event itself.

Overall I, and my wife, are really thankful to everyone at Voco who helped make our wedding day so great, they did a phenomenal job ,and I would wholeheartedly recommend them as a wedding venue to others.

Julieanne and her team worked really hard to take all the pressure and stress off us on the day. We felt extremely comfortable in their hands and the day ran smoothly under their guidance. Planning a wedding is not a small job, but having everything at this wonderful venue with this team made it as close to stress-free as possible. When we were choosing our reception venue we didn't pay much attention to hotels - however, the Voco Thames blew us away with it's gorgeous setting, feeling of relative exclusivity (it isn't, but with no other events in the hotel and various private interconnecting spaces including a bar, we never noticed any other hotel guests), large spaces and value for money.

Julieanne was incredible from start to finish. She was always easy to contact and arrange meetings with as needed, recommended suppliers to suit our budget, and accommodated various requests and amendments to the packages to make our wedding bespoke to us. Together with Andy who was superb on the day, we had every confidence that our wedding day would run smoothly, meaning we could enjoy the time with each other and our guests. Finally, the chefs and catering staff outdid themselves with the delicious and promptly/professionally served food. We had so many comments about how amazing the food was, with it firmly placing as many peoples 'best wedding food', and many guests in awe of how they managed to serve high quality (and piping hot!) food to 100 people so quickly.

Overall, an incredible venue with wonderful staff, and we couldn't recommend them more highly.

The hotel went above and beyond! The staff are amazing, and the day ran like clock work. I have to mention the toastmaster Andy who did a fabulous job and you can tell he truly cares about the bride and groom having the best day possible. Our wedding coordinator Julieanne did an amazing job with coordinating the day. We loved every minute! And all our guests enjoyed themselves and all commented how beautiful the venue is!

We had our wedding at Voco Oxford Thames this year and it was genuinely the best day of our lives. We are forever grateful to the Voco team.

We were originally supposed to be a 2021 wedding, however made the tough choice to postpone given the pandemic. The staff were so honest and realistic about the reality of postponing and when we did postpone the process was very easy and hassle-free. We were lucky that they had the exact same weekend available the following year and appreciated that they honoured your 2021 prices for us.

Their organisation was impeccable and Julieanne is truly amazing at her job. Everything felt so organised and professional and the whole day (even the meal service with all of the dietary requirements!) ran so smoothly. We were so reassured at every meeting that we were in great hands and felt so confident with our venue choice.

The food was incredible. We were blown away on our menu tasting and it was so impressive that they can produce such high quality and beautifully presented food to such a mass number. So many people complimented the food, we had guests wanting the recipe for the sauce with the chicken and others mentioned it was the best wedding food they had ever had!

All of the staff were so friendly too. Everyone from reception, the bar staff and the waiters/waitresses already had a smile on their face and nothing was too much trouble.

Even though it did rain, Voco’s interior was so stunning that it didn’t matter. So many of our guests commented on how lovely the hotel was and what an excellent venue it was for a wedding.

We couldn’t recommend Voco Oxford Thames more and am sure you they will make many other couples very happy.
