We met up with the owner, Millie, at the beginning of the year to discuss our special day. We immediately felt so at ease as we went through all the options available. Millie and the team really took the time to understand what we wanted and also gave us some great suggestions to enhance the day which included music and entertainment options. When we were discussing food options we were provided with a number of options at different price points and we were able to select exactly what we wanted. Our guests really appreciated the options we were able to offer, considering everyone’s tastes. We decided to make it an all day event with exclusive hire of the pub. Starting with a morning drinks reception and breakfast, we then headed into London for our ceremony at Marylebone Town Hall. Once we returned to The Swan we were greeted with a champagne reception and live music from a talented musician - one of the many recommendations Millie gave us to make our day special. We sat down for our wedding breakfast and all our guests commented on how good the food was and how lovely and attentive all the team were. We then had a great party in the pub where tables were cleared to make room for our DJ / Saxophonist - another fantastic recommendation from Millie! We cannot thank Millie and her dedicated team enough for making our day so perfect it was everything we wanted and more! We want to do the day all over again ❤️ We will be back next year to celebrate our 1st Anniversary!! Lots of love Emma & Jon xxx

Honestly, I cannot find a fault. We booked the Moat around 2 years before our wedding date, booked from a Wedding Showcase. Sat down with Amanda and spoke through what we wanted, paid the deposit and walked out with huge smiles on our face. When I tell you that smile still hasn't stopped. We got assigned Aimee for our wedding and oh my gosh she is just amazing. Constant check ins, made us feel sure in our decisions and if we needed too face to face meetings. She truly is such a lovely person and really made this whole experience a lot less stressful. We got reminders when we needed to pay, had a food trial & exclusive evening events where we could take our parents so they can see the venue. On the day I stayed in the room the night before (this is dependant on if there is a wedding the day before/events etc, you'll find out 3 months before the wedding) where I stayed with my mum and 2 bridesmaids. We went for a meal in the restaurant the night before with my dad, brother and our little dog (who always loves coming with us) where we really enjoyed ourselves! Then back to the room to start wedding prep! The rooms are just gorgeous, the door that opens through was perfect. It was the perfect get ready spot, everyone felt comfortable and cared for. We had yoghurt, fruit and granola in the fridge ready for the morning, water and orange juice too. Which is a nice touch. Aimee came in and checked on us around every hour and a half/two hours to make sure we had everything we needed. She is just a natural at this kind of stuff, coming in & having a little dance with us to help calm nerves. She helped with the first look and made sure the photographer got the perfect angles! Then the wedding time came, all the guests went into the ceremony room, my bridesmaids & myself in the tap room ready to walk down the isle. A quick pep talk from the staff & Aimee and off we went. Music was timed perfect, my dress was fluffed before I walked down which I didn't even think of doing & we got married! After the ceremony, we went back up to the tap room & got our first drinks as a married couple handed to us. Which were just perfect, they were exactly what we needed. Our guests were so happy with the service of the bar staff who seemed to just love their jobs! After our drinks reception we went back down to the ceremony room for our wedding breakfast which was beautifully laid out by the team there, the food was served promptly. I cannot fault anything with the service, the food was delicious, Miles was always around with bottles of wine to top up ensured everyone always had a drink, served with a huge smile! Speeches came & the microphone came out, even that was perfect - we had a little fault with one of them but was seamlessly swapped over for a new mic! Once food was done it was dancing time, the in house DJ they have Carl is also Amazing! Made sure we had music played that we wanted, but when I tell you our dance floor was NEVER empty - I mean it! We danced our hearts out, had fun and shared love with the entire room. Once it was all over, we went back to our rooms for the night. Then up for breakfast with our guests the next morning, which was also, amazing. I think the one thing you have to take out of this review is that I genuinely cannot find any faults, it was the perfect day. From the staff, to the venue, to the food, every single little thing was perfect. Thank you to Aimee and the team at The Moat for making our day, just so perfect. I keep getting people raving about it and that is due to your service and delivery, thank you.

We organised the wedding in a month meeting Leak and the team on Christmas Eve for a wedding on 31st January 2026 and from start to finish they could not have been more accommodating and helpful. We were in constant communication organising the menus, the layout of the room and everything was so smooth and relieved so much stress! Leak knew exactly how we wanted the room laid out and when we arrived it was just perfect! the meal was served to everyone without asking who was having what and we even called out the chef as the food was absolutely amazing especially the pork belly! the day was perfect in every way and we cannot thank Leah and the team enough for everything!

With the team at the Feathered Nest we were able to curate an elegant, bespoke wedding that exceeded our highest hopes. The location is wonderful, the venue cosy but high-end, the food was incredible and the team were superb at service. Everything came together beautifully and from the moment our guests arrived they had cocktails Ava champagne, then after the ceremony fantastic canapés, drinks, then a three course dinner where every plate was perfect. The food was seasonal, the wine was wonderful. The venue were also super at accommodating our ideas. From a string quartet to a folk singer for the evening entertainment they helped us to create a flow and keep the event moving. They were also great at helping us source a florist who made the venue look wonderfully seasonal and special.

Don't think I've ever danced so much in my life! Loved how intimate it was, everyone was nearby so I got to see all my guests properly. The staff were absolutely lovely and so helpful. The DJ you provided as part of our package was fab, didn't bat an eye at our more unconventional song choices and got everyone moving. Oh and the food was so good. Those roast potatoes!! I dropped one on my dress and the gravy stain still reminds me of how good that food was ?? Wish I could do it all over again

We very recently held our Wedding at the Red Barn and it’s hard to express in words just how much of an amazing day we had. We fell in love with the venue last December; the character and rustic charm of the main room with the beams and fireplace creates such a warm and relaxing atmosphere, with the beautiful Christmas decorations up it is simply magical and we knew instantly this was where we wanted to get married. So many people commented on how beautiful the room looked and how wonderful the venue was. We want to say a very heartfelt thank you to all the staff at the Red Barn for making our day so memorable. A special thank you to Marilyn who took over our wedding planning 3 months before the day; she was truly fantastic, warm and friendly and super organised!! I knew the first time we met that I wouldn’t have to worry about a thing, she made the whole day stress free and to be honest everything just flowed and I didn’t have to get involved in a thing! I have to also say very well done to Ferri the chef and all the kitchen team, the food was absolutely fantastic! (another reason why we chose this venue in the first place) and everyone praised it – especially the individual beef wellingtons which were tender and cooked to perfection. We wish the Red Barn all the success in the future and we fully recommend the venue to future couples looking for their dream venue, we will be seeing you soon!

We had our day in November 2024 at Papillon in Southampton. The venue itself is amazing! We had so many guests comment on how beautiful the space was! The staff were so polite, helpful and friendly throughout all of my emails, phone calls and drop-ins. Their flexibility was really helpful throughout the process too. The food and drinks were great, accommodating all dietary requirements. The sound system for our evening of dancing was fantastic also! Cannot recommend Papillon enough! Thank you for making our day so special!

We had a brilliant experience at Worplesdon Place. We just held our reception there having got married in a local church. Everything was planned to pin point precision so it all ran smoothly on the day. All of the staff, especially Oli and Clayton behind the bar went out of their way to be attentive to our guests making brilliant cocktails. Food was superb and the guests all commented on the quality of the breakfast the next morning. We will be back for an anniversary dinner next year and hope to be regular visitors when passing.
