It’s taken me a while to write this review because it’s hard to put into words how magical my experience with Chilston Park has been. We originally came to Chilston on a whim knowing they had a wedding fair on. The drive up to the hotel is stunning, we were then greeted by Jane, the loveliest and most helpful bundle of joy, Jane became our wedding co ordinator and held my hand every step of the way, we went to every wedding fair from booking last February until our wedding day New Year’s Eve just gone and every time the staff made us feel like family that was visiting. On our day, unfortunately, Jane couldn’t be there but I knew the whole wedding team by then and had no worries that the day would go swimmingly with the amazing Ella, nothing was too much, nothing was answered with no and potential issues were resolved by the time I heard about them. Ella went above and beyond to ensure our day was flawless. Matt, another wonderful human who made it his business to make sure all guests were fed and watered, completed tasks that arose with the biggest smile and again nothing was too much to ask. Multiple guests commented on the efficiency of the staff and great attitudes. We have since been to a sister hotel of Chilston and it really goes to show that everyone can have the same training but the staff truly make a hotel, Chilston is second to none. The venue speaks for itself but these words are for the team because everyone bounced into work, got excited to see us and made us feel like royalty. Paul is clearly a great manager to his team, an absolute asset to Handpicked hotels and a lovely smiley face who even came in on his day off and wished us well. If you’re reading this and looking for a venue, book it, you won’t regret it! We had exclusive use which was great value for money for what it included. We got married at Chilston Park on Saturday. We fell in love with this venue, as soon as we saw it. Molly our events planner was brilliant from start to finish, she responded promptly to emails, messages.

Matt was amazing on the day, nothing was too much trouble. We also had a few other unusual requests, such as storing a hoist in the disabled toilet for my mother in law. The chef Ali did an amazing job of the wedding breakfast and Indian buffet in the evening. The grounds are also amazing. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel as a wedding venue, it really is a hidden gem this hotel. We can’t wait to return for dinner soon!

Our wedding at Chilston Park was simply beautiful. The whole day was amazing from start to finish and we really owe so many thanks to the whole team there. Sophie was amazing throughout the whole process, always helpful and nothing was ever too much. She really made me feel at ease that the wedding was going to go smoothly it really felt like a stress free experience with her helping hand.

The staff on the day were outstanding, nothing was ever too much and the service was perfect. Ella & Nathan were amazing and made the whole day run so smoothly we can’t thank them enough. The food was gorgeous, the beef wellington to die for! We really cannot fault anything we had the best day of our lives and are so pleased we chose to have our wedding at Chilston.

Excellent value for money as so many extras were included in the package! The venue was super flexible and worked seamlessly with additional external vendors, such as mini golf and fireworks which allowed us to have a stress free and super enjoyable day! The staff were excellent and professional and couldn't do more for us! Our wedding co ordinator was on hand throughout the process to answer any questions we had, no matter how many! The staff were really accommodating on the day and nothing was too big of an ask for them! The venue is also huge which meant guests had lots of space to spread out and people who didn't want to join the loud party could go to a quieter area together and still enjoy their evening! Guests loved their rooms too! The bride loved the getting ready room in the morning as it was big enough to hold a large wedding party comfortably and so the morning was very relaxed! There is also a Groom's getting ready room too!

The only venue we viewed as we fell well and truly in love with Chilston Park. Everything was perfect, from the initial planning to the big day itself. We wanted a venue where all our guests could stay the night and have a big party, this ticked all the boxes and more. The food was unbelievable and the style of the hotel made us feel like we were a royalty. We cannot recommend this venue enough (and we can't wait to return year on year)

A huge thank you to Sophie for making our day such a success and Ella who kept the day moving swimmingly (even if the bride was 30 minutes late). Everyone was so lovely and well prepped. It was our dream day.

We got married at Chilston Park Hotel in June 2025. We looked at various options in and around the Maidstone/Kent area, but decided on Chilston almost as soon as we had visited for the first time. The house is in a beautiful setting, outside a small village, nestled in the Kent country side, with lovely view over the ornamental lake to the North Downs. It is approached from a road, meaning it is set on it's own, in parkland, making an ideal, secluded venue. The house and grounds are simply wonderful, with plentiful space both inside and out.



From the outset, all of the team were really friendly and helpful. We were really fortunate to have Sophie as our wedding co-ordinator; she was absolutley amazing, always on-hand to help and support us through the process. Her advice around what may or may not work in the early planning stages was invaluable. She co-ordinated everything, from ensuring our friends and family had the rooms we had allocated to them, to going above and beyond; We had ordered a cheese wedding cake, which hadn't been delivered, Sophie went off-site to buy us some lovely replacement cheese to ensure we had cheese!



The staff on the day were incredible, having run through the day previously with Sophie, the team ensured everything ran perfectly. The food was incredible, all our guests enjoyed it, one of whom is super fussy, said it was the best food they had had in months. The only challenge, was deciding which dishes to choose for the day.



At no time did we ever feel we were one of many weddings in the Chilston calendar, every interaction was personal, and tailored to us. We cannot recommend the team and venue highly enough, the whole team, and Sophie especially, made the whole day very, very special.

We got married in May 2025 and could not recommend Chilston more. We opted for the exclusive use package which was truly great value for money. So much more was included compared to other venues and it meant we didn’t need to find our own suppliers. The staff could not be friendlier or more accommodating which meant that everything on the day just ran so smoothly and professionally. All of our guests commented on how beautiful the venue is. You can decorate it how you please but the character of the buildings means not much is needed at all. The food was delicious and one of the highlights!

We were so pleased to have had our wedding at Chilston. As soon as we saw the venue, it felt right for us. Its a beautiful venue inside and out. The staff are all excellently trained. From the reception staff, through to the waiting team, through to our wedding coordinator - everyone we met was excellent. We got married off site at a church and were delayed getting back to start our reception at Chilston, but the team were so flexible and made it seem no bother at all. We had such a wonderful day and are looking at being able to go back and stay and Chilston for our anniversary!

We couldn't have asked for more with our wedding at Chilston Park. From the initial booking to the details meeting and then finally the wedding day, everything was pretty much seamless. The wedding day itself went like clockwork and the staff worked so hard to make sure that everything was in place and everyone was in the right place at the right time! All of our guests loved the setting, the food and thought the staff were wonderful. We had a truly wonderful wedding day and that was thanks to the team at Chilston Park/

We viewed lots of potential wedding venues but from the moment we arrived at Chilston Park we just knew it was the place we wanted to hold our wedding. Chloe Rees guided us through the different room options of where we could hold our wedding ceremony as well as have our reception, no question went unanswered and the hotel was very accommodating in helping us deliver our two day dream wedding. Chloe, Paul The Manager and all the staff were fantastic from the start and on the wedding day. Chef, Ali delivered exquisite food for us and our guests, with friends and family still praising it months after. We have been back a few times for afternoon tea and evening meals with all the staff greeting us with such warmth. We have no hesitation in recommending the Chilston Park wedding team and this stunning country setting.

Olly and I just wanted to extend our thanks to everyone at Chilton Park for making our wedding on Friday 7th of March 2025 it was so incredible.


Sophie was the first person we spoke to and she made the booking process seamless. She was so helpful in ensuring everything was arranged before her holiday and we are incredibly grateful for her.

The day before the wedding, I had the pleasure of meeting Ella and Ellie, who went above and beyond to assist us. They were both attending our wedding and were genuinely amazing. Ella made our day so special—she took care of everything from cutting the cake to moving things around, so we didn’t have to worry about a thing. She was truly outstanding. Ellie, working behind the bar, was equally fantastic, always with a smile on her face and everyone absolutely adored her.

We can’t thank them enough for making our day unforgettable. Even the morning after the wedding, when we came down for breakfast, Ella was there to greet us with a big smile and get everything ready for us.

Olly and I are already looking forward to returning to Chilton Park when our little one arrives. What a wonderful way to start March!

We got married at Chilston Park in August, and it was nothing short of perfection. We opted for the exclusive use package, which catered to every need. Most of our guest list were international guests, and being able to host everyone comfortably under one roof for the full weekend was incredible. From the food to the helpful staff and gorgeous grounds, I highly recommend choosing Chilston Park for your wedding if you are looking for English elegance. We have just had our special day, and all I can say is from the moment we looked around to the day after the wedding we was well looked after, we had a designated person to speak about our wedding and all our needs were met with no questions asked. The venue and the grounds are stunning, the bedrooms are beautiful and our day was so perfect, I couldn’t fault anything. I just wish we could do it all over again. We got married in Chilston park hotel on the 14th January 2024 and it was the best day of our lives. All our guests are still messaging and calling us telling us what a fantastic time they had, how beautiful the ceremony and the venue are, how through the day they were never hungry and that the food really was amazing.

Although the venue may be second to none it was the staff for me who really make this venue special, the attention to detail is exceptional. From the moment we attended the venue for an open day Jane our event organiser was amazing, Jane always made time to speak to us and communication was always very prompt and very accommodating where she could be. Jane really made the whole process very easy and stress free even with only having a year to plan it all.

On the day of the wedding the team at the venue were nothing short of exceptional. Matt was our point of contact on the day I approached Matt early that morning with a few tasks and like a mind reader had assured me everything had already been taken care of. The day ran faultlessly, it became clear from the beginning of the day that the staff have it down to a fine art which allowed us to just enjoy the day.

I cannot commend or recommend this venue highly enough, thank you again to Jane and Matt and all the staff at Chilston Park Hotel for the day of our lives.
