Selden Barns, at Selden Farm, is set within over 50 acres of the South Downs National Park, an idyllic rural retreat for your wedding day.
Exclusively yours to enjoy, featuring beautiful, characterful barns, cosy onsite accommodation, stunning manicured lawns and a beautiful terrace overlooking open farmland and forests.
Facilities and Capacity
At Selden Barns, wedding ceremonies are licensed for up to 100 guests in the stunning flint and brick Ceremony Barn adjoining the Farmhouse with original oak beams, fireplace, and exposed brickwork. To add a little extra sparkle, fairy lights entwine the beams overhead while you make your wedding vows. Alternatively outside ceremonies can take place on the manicured lawns with stunning views. After your ceremony, enjoy pre-reception drinks and canapes on one of the lawns within the walled gardens or terraces adjoining the main barn. With the capacity to seat up to 200 guests for your wedding breakfast and up to 250 for your evening reception, this versatile and flexible wedding space is second to none. The main barn boasts pleated drapes, vintage chandeliers, and a fairy light ceiling. For your evening wedding reception, party the night away on the venue's raised, chequered dance floor with provision for a DJ or band. During the summer months, step off the dance floor and through the doors onto the splendid terrace and lawns to enjoy your favourite drink and look up at the stars.
Services Offered
Your venue hire includes tables, chairs, a fully stocked cash/card bar, staff, gift and cake tables, as well as ample parking. Also included in your hire will be a Wedding Coordinator to help you plan and oversee your special day, ensuring your wedding day runs perfectly. Selden Barns also benefits from nine guest bedrooms, accommodating up to 24 wedding guests, as well as a fabulous getting-ready room for you and your bridesmaids. As an established venue, they have an excellent reputation with some of the best local wedding suppliers, including florists, photographers, stylists, and more. Please ask the team for more information. In addition, with great road links to Worthing, Brighton, Arundel, Horsham, and Chichester, it makes it easily accessible for out-of-town guests.

Our amazing wedding day
Our Amazing Wedding Day
From the initial enquiries to the final breakfast it was fantastic. The staff were extremely professional and made the whole thing feel very personal.
The only thing, which was a shame, was our wine allowance per head was not laid out on the tables. The glasses were not topped up on the tables, meaning it did not flow and we took lots home.
Apart from that the whole thing was amazing. Even the breakfast the next morning felt like an event.
The accommodation was lovely.

From the night before to the day, Saoirse was amazing, she answered 1873 phone calls and questions and ran around after us with whatever we needed (a plug at 7pm)! Nothing was too difficult.
All the staff at Selden Barns were lovely, friendly and professional. Our day was faultless and that is all down to Saoirse and the incredible staff at Selden Barns, we will forever be grateful.
