I attended a wedding, just before the end of the year, of a couple who wanted the gravitas of a beautiful historic building in which to exchange their vows, in their case in a humanist ceremony. Decorated with breath-taking simplicity, the Town Hall's largest space - the grand Corn Exchange - hosted about 160 guests for a happy, serious and very personal ceremony. It is difficult to image anything more perfect. What a joyous occasion.

We wanted to share our heartfelt thanks for allowing us to celebrate our wedding at Hall Place on Friday, 24th April 2026. From start to finish, the day was truly incredible. The venue itself is stunning, and we felt so fortunate to celebrate such an important occasion in such a beautiful setting. Everything ran seamlessly, and the team were consistently warm, professional, and attentive throughout, which made the entire experience feel effortless and enjoyable. We were especially touched by the care and attention to detail. Everything was arranged exactly as we had envisioned, and the thoughtful gesture of placing my mum’s memorial cloth on the memorial table after the ceremony meant a great deal to us. It was handled with such sensitivity and kindness. We genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better experience and have no complaints whatsoever. Thank you again for helping to make our day so special, memorable, and perfectly executed.

Our son Shashank and our daughter-in-law Priya were married at The Dairy, Waddesdon Manor, on 9th July 2026, and it was truly a magical day that our families and guests will cherish forever. From the very beginning, the team at Waddesdon Manor were professional, welcoming and supportive, helping us plan a beautiful wedding that brought together both Tamil and Punjabi traditions. The venue itself is absolutely stunning, with immaculate grounds, elegant surroundings and a wonderful atmosphere that made the day feel so special. I would especially like to express my sincere gratitude to Claire and Lydia. They were exceptional throughout our entire journey, from the early planning stages, to supporting us on the wedding day itself, and even afterwards. Nothing was ever too much trouble. They were always approachable, patient and incredibly responsive, answering our many questions, offering reassurance and doing everything they could to ensure our day ran as smoothly as possible. Planning a wedding can be overwhelming, but Claire and Lydia made us feel supported every step of the way. Their professionalism, kindness and genuine care gave us great confidence, and we are so grateful for everything they did for our family. Their dedication and attention to detail did not go unnoticed, and they are a real credit to Waddesdon Manor. Our guests were full of compliments about the beautiful venue, the organisation and the overall experience. The setting provided the perfect backdrop for our son’s wedding, and we have memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you once again to Claire, Lydia and the entire team at Waddesdon Manor for helping make Shashank and Priya’s wedding such a memorable and joyous occasion. It is really difficult to put into words just how grateful we are to Greenlands and the team there for hosting our wedding celebrations. From start to finish, their patience, attention to detail and sincerity in making our day as special and stress-free as possible was second to none. We had the best days of our lives that day, and it’s thanks to the team, in particular Sophie and Angela who went above and beyond. We felt as though we had the place all to ourself and everything we asked for was accounted for. If you are considering Greenlands as a venue, all I can say is I would recommend it wholeheartedly. You won’t find better value for money anywhere.

Michelham priory is such a gorgeous spot for a wedding. We wanted something that was both classic and elegant, but also charming and laid back… a tricky balance! Michelham priory was exactly that. Chloe and Bryony at Blue Door were also so responsive from the very start of planning to the day itself. We can’t thank them enough. Flexibility was our only challenge (it’s a listed barn so certain instruments in the band aren’t allowed, and music has to be turned off before 11). We had an incredible day and it ran smoother than we could ever have expected. Thank you Michelham and thank you Chloe and Bryony! X

What a fantastic day! I can't think of a single thing which could have been done better. From finally choosing Languard Manor, through to dealing with Mark and Daphne in the run up to the wedding, to the day itself, it was perfect in every way. Even the weather smiled on us. We did a lot of planning in the run up to the wedding itself and Mark and Daphne were extremely accommodating when it came to setting things up prior to the wedding, giving us a free run of the venue from the Wednesday prior to the wedding until the Monday after the wedding to decorate tables, set up the sweet trolley and all the other details which we wanted to get done in advance. Their advice on all aspects of the preparations, the sequence of events on the day and their management of the wedding itself could not have been better. They were very flexible when it came to menu's for the meal and in the end we asked for two courses which were not on the standard menu. We also had to cater for vegetarian, pescatarian and a vegan guests, and submitted special menu's for these guests which were produced without any problems. On the day, we started with drinks on the lawn until the bride and her entourage were ready, followed by the ceremony itself which was held on the lawn. This was followed by canapes and champagne on the lawn until we were called in for the meal. The service was excellent during the meal, with no one having to wait for their food, despite the different requirements of some of our guests. The quality of the food, its preparation and presentation was excellent, and we received many compliments from our guests after eating. Following the meal and the speeches we were encouraged to make the most of the weather outside, so that the staff could rearrange the dining room for the evening and the band and the DJ could set up. We had 150 guests for the evening do, with music until midnight. We supplied beer and wine, and those who wanted something else were catered for at the bar. Everyone who attended had a fantastic day. I cannot recommend Landguard Manor highly enough!

We had a great day with Glenmore House, where everything we wanted to happen happened as expected. All our guests commented on the great food and Glenmore House were great at adapting to our guests' requirements, including provision for coeliacs. Faye worked very hard in the run up to ensure she understood exactly what we wanted and took the time to explain how the day would work for us talk through any final requests. All in all, Glenmore House was a great choice of venue for us, and at a reasonable price.

We absolutely adored Orleans House Gallery for our wedding ceremony and drinks and canapé reception. From our very first viewing through to the big day itself, the service was impeccable. The venue is absolutely stunning, set within beautiful gardens on the banks of the River Thames. Combined with the incredible staff, who operate like a well-oiled machine while making you feel special as though yours is the only wedding they've ever hosted, Orleans House Gallery truly is the perfect venue. Our wedding day flew by, and we wouldn't change a thing. We only wish we could do it all over again! Thank you so much to the entire Orleans House Gallery team for making it so special.

We had our wedding at Voco Thames Hotel, and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. The spaces are absolutely beautiful. we hosted both the ceremony and the reception thare, which made everything so much easier. There’s a wonderful outdoor option, which we chose, and it created such a special atmosphere for our day. At the same time, they also offer a lovely indoor little barn space, which is equally charming and a great alternative. in the evening, we had a pizza wood-fired food truck, and we were actually the first to try this option at the venue. It was a huge hit, both we and our guests absolutely loved the relaxed, fun vibe it brought to the celebration. The team was fantastic throughout the entire process. They supported us in all our choices, kept everything under control, and were incredibly helpful from the very beginning right through to the end. Their professionalism and attention to detail really made a difference. We had such a lovely day, and everything ran smoothly thanks to them. We honestly couldn’t recommend this venue more highly!
