Minterne House was our wild card wedding venue but we knew as soon as we drove up the drive that it was the one. Emily made us feel so relaxed and was incredibly helpful at recommending suppliers. The venue is a showstopper and came with the added bonus of being able to host friends and family in onsite accommodation. It meant the world to have friends who’d flown in stay close by and experience the Dorset countryside in all its glory. We’re already planning on booking out an onsite cottage for our wedding anniversary! The day was absolute perfection - thank you Emily and the Minterne House team!

We recently celebrated our wedding at Scorrier House, and we honestly cannot recommend this stunning venue enough. The grounds are beautiful in every season and weather, offering so many lovely options for both indoor and outdoor weddings. Throughout our planning journey, Ollie and Laura were incredibly helpful and supportive. They always replied promptly to our many questions and made the whole experience feel so much easier and more enjoyable. Our friends, family, and the two of us were made to feel genuinely welcomed during our stay. We also had the pleasure of working with Kitty, who brought such warmth and care to our wedding weekend. She even hosted a yoga class for us the day before the wedding, which was not only relaxing but also so much fun. We would wholeheartedly recommend Scorrier House to any couple looking for a calm, beautiful, and truly special venue that you can make your own. It was everything we hoped for and more.

We chose Eastwood Park as our wedding reception venue, and it was absolutely perfect from start to finish. From the moment guests arrived, the setting made such an impression — elegant, full of character, and surrounded by beautiful grounds that gave us the most incredible backdrop for photos. The reception ran so smoothly, and that’s entirely thanks to the fantastic team. The staff were warm, professional, and always one step ahead, making sure everything flowed seamlessly. It meant we could properly relax, enjoy time with our guests, and soak up every second of the celebration. A very special thank you to Angela, who was wonderful throughout the planning process. She was so organised, patient, and reassuring, and her support made everything feel easy and stress-free. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how beautiful the venue was. The rooms felt grand yet welcoming, and it created the perfect atmosphere for food, speeches, and dancing. It truly felt like the most magical place to celebrate with everyone we love. We couldn’t have asked for a better setting for our reception and would recommend Eastwood Park in a heartbeat!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We honestly couldn’t fault The Manor House in any way. From start to finish, our wedding day was absolutely perfect and so beautifully organised. The team went above and beyond for us. Cassie looked after us throughout the entire year of planning and nothing was ever too much to ask – everything was handled with such warmth, care and a genuine smile. On the day itself, Rhiannon and Dan were incredible, and every single member of staff made us feel so looked after. Nothing was ever too big or too small – it genuinely felt like everyone cared about us as a couple, which you don’t always hear when it comes to wedding venues. They were so flexible and thoughtful, from allowing us to use different rooms to really match the vibe we wanted, to even making me an apple crumble that wasn’t on the menu. Those little touches meant everything. What really stood out is that even during the days we stayed before and after the wedding, we still felt just as special and looked after – not just on the day itself. From reception and the events team to the bar staff, waitress and sommelier in Bybrook, the service was faultless throughout. We couldn’t recommend The Manor House and their incredible team highly enough. If you’re considering this venue, you will be in the safest, kindest hands imaginable. Sophie & James

It was brilliant working with all the staff at Kingston Maurward, especially Danielle who was amazing, organised, fun to work with and nothing was too much trouble. The whole wedding (suppliers booked through KM) was excellent value for money and I highly recommend.

What an amazing wedding venue! Easy for guests to reach and near to Bath, Bristol and London but it still feels secluded - this gothic manor sits in large beautiful grounds. As you wander inside your eyes can't help but be drawn upward t the beautiful rococo plastered gothic ceilings : gold and yellow and blue and gold with lots of stone arches and walkways( I could easily have got lost!) . The drawing room where brides get ready could be straight out of a scene from Bridgerton with chandeliers, large windows, and mirrors to make it feel airy and ornate painted plaster ceilings. All very decadent - a perfect place for even the largest of bridal parties to get ready. Grittleton has an extremely cool cocktail bar with waiters who will make you up pretty much whatever you would like with flair and a smile in the evening. This bar and the library next to it are the perfect places for the groom and ushers to meet for a drink before the ceremony. I took the photographs at Suse and Rob's Summer Wedding and the three story central hall with deep blue walls and a sweeping iron staircase descending from the high balconies made the perfect back drop for photos of bride and bridesmaids as they descended to the ceremony in a sunny flower festooned Orangery. The Orangery like all of the spaces in Grittleton has plenty of capacity if you have lots of guests. I believe there is capacity for 200 in the ceremony, dining and evening with 30 bedrooms for guests. Suse and Rob's wedding had around 120 guests and this filled the place very nicely, without it feeling overfull or too empty. Its always important to match the size of your venue to the number of guests! If you value great photographs this is a stunning venue as it has so much variety in terms of locations, an amazing ceremony exit for confetti with the house behind, a long drive for some portraits with the stone architecture glowing in a warm sunset as well as shaded gardens for group photos on sunny days. I ate a very lovely three course meal and loved the veggie food :simple but very tasty heritage tomato, burrata and aubergine salad, followed by a creamy lemon and verbena risotto, with sticky toffee pudding which I sadly mostly missed due to photographing the speeches! I was impressed by the staff who I met : Emma , the wedding co-ordinator was super efficient and very kindly met me prior to the wedding so I could recce for locations for group photos/in case of rain, she also ensured that everything ran seamlessly to time throughout the day - this always helps photographers and vendors and also means guests arriving at different times know what's happening at what time so nobody misses key parts of the day - a very important but often overlooked element! If you are after a large, extremely beautiful building which is also in great condition ( after recent refurbishment) with a day that runs like clockwork and very nice food indeed then I'd recommend you have a look round Grittleton!

Words truly cannot express how incredible our wedding at canford. Chloe, Caitlin and all the staff went out of their way to make our day absolutely amazing. First off, the building and grounds and stunning and made for the most amazing photos. We were married in the old library and absolutely loved this. Having the outside space for our canapés and evening food was a real bonus and one of the major selling points of the venue. We also loved the great hall- rarely have I seen such an impressive room that gave so much room for dancing and still to have tables out. Secondly- the food. WOW! Our guests have not stopped talking about the food months on and have said it’s the best that they’ve had at a wedding, with some saying it’s possibly the best food they’ve had out in a long time. The attention to detail was incredible! Now for a focus on Chloe and Caitlin. We cannot thank them enough for all of the effort that they put into the day. They truly coordinated every little aspect and we felt as if we were the only wedding couple they were looking after. The day went off without a glitch and it’s all thanks to them. I don’t think a review is enough to do the day justice. Our day at canford was so special and cannot recommend it enough to anyone looking to get married.

We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect wedding venue! The aesthetics and grounds are absolutely stunning — every corner was picture-perfect and made for the most beautiful photos. The food was incredible, and all of our guests commented on how delicious everything was. The drinks were another highlight — the range of cocktails was fantastic (especially appreciated by the bride, who’s a big cocktail lover!). Booking and planning were so easy, and the events manager was always on hand to answer questions or help with any last-minute changes we needed to make. The whole day went seamlessly — everything ran perfectly, and we didn’t have to worry about a thing. We’re so grateful to the entire team for helping make our day so special. Highly recommend!
