We chose The Old Lodge for our wedding day in March this year and I will be forever thankful that we stumbled upon it and found the place. It was EVERYTHING and more we’d been looking for. We wanted something that felt like us, we only wanted a small and intimate ceremony and wedding breakfast, followed by a larger evening celebration. From our first meeting, nothing was too much trouble, everything felt easy and the staff could not have been more accommodating. Communicating with them throughout the planning process was effortless and we were made to feel at ease the entire time. The day of our wedding was better than we’d dreamed it would be, Jess and her team were nothing short of outstanding and the day ran like clockwork. I only wish it could have lasted longer. The food was incredible and we had so many compliments on it! I just would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone wanting a small and intimate wedding, or a larger scale affair, they really can cater for it all! The setting is simply stunning and the venue itself is so beautiful, our photos from the day are simply perfect! We can’t thank everyone at The Old Lodge enough, we’ve already been back to visit for food plenty of times, and will be returning to spend the night for our 1 year anniversary! If you visit this place, I genuinely think you’d walk away having booked your wedding venue!

From start to finish the whole team at No. 38 were incredible and made our wedding day exactly as we'd hoped. In the lead up to the wedding Alasdair was brilliant at communicating with us and every question or query however small was always responded to in detail. On the day itself, everything ran so smoothly, which is a testament to the fantastic team No.38 has. Ben was excellent at overseeing and delivering everything on the day - every little detail was thought of and nothing was too much trouble. Joszef and his kitchen team provided the most fantastic food. Both of us, as well as every guest we asked, thought the meal was exceptional. It's no mean feat to provide such high quality food for that many guests but everyone spoke glowingly of all the courses and particularly the fish and chip canapes! The venue itself was beautiful. We had 55 guests for the day and the venue felt like the perfect size. We had a silent disco to ensure that we could continue the party late into the evening and it was brilliant - we'd definitely recommend!

We could not recommend this venue enough. The food and service was impeccable from start to finish, the staff are so friendly and easily contactable and always were happy to help. They always met with us when we needed to and ensured that the day went off without a hitch. The venue was stunning and it was made clear that it was closed to the public whilst our wedding was happening. The village itself is gorgeous and our pictures were fantastic. Mike and the team were able to make our day the best day of our lives and we’ve been back multiple times since and always been recognised.

I can’t recommend PKG enough, we had the most perfect wedding here, all of the staff are incredible and they worked tirelessly to make our day the best! Laura, the wedding coordinator made things run so smoothly and was so patient with all of our questions! The food is incredible and the drinks are delicious! The venue itself is absolutely perfect, the gardens are beautiful and so well maintained. We used the glamping pods which were so spacious and pretty! It makes the dream wedding venue!

We had our wedding reception at The Hive in September 2022. It all went perfectly, the food was great, the service was amazing and the place looked beautiful. We would throughly recommend for those planning an intimate and laid back event which still feels special. My only criticism was that communication was at times slow which made us nervous. We needn't have worried as everything was clearly in hand but just something to bear in mind if you're a worrier. Thank you to all at The Hive for a truly wonderful evening.

We had our dream wedding at Foxy’s Den! The venue is rustic, affordable, and the perfect blank canvas. Julian and Abby were incredible – so kind, attentive, and easy to contact. Our guests loved how beautiful it looked, the DJ was brilliant, and the end-of-night bus was such a thoughtful touch. We honestly can’t fault a thing. Highly recommend booking a viewing – you won’t regret it!

We hired the garden and Marquee; the weather did help as this was a beautiful place to get married, rooms were clean and comfortable food was amazing.

We would like to say a big thank you to Lizzie and the team for hosting our wedding reception. The venue and the food were excellent and enjoyed by all. We had a great day. We stayed for our wedding night and agree that the rooms are large, clean and comfortable. Fantastic all round.

We had dinner there one evening and were so impressed that we returned the next night. The welcome was warm, the food was delicious, and the owner and staff were especially attentive.

A massive thank you to Ed, family and all the team at Starlings for making our wedding day absolutely perfect! Ed really went above and beyond to make sure our special day was everything we hoped it could be (and more!). From the get go, Ed was incredibly accommodating and flexible - working with us to understand our vision and customise the venue, whilst designing bespoke food and cocktail menus for nearly a hundred people. The whole team were absolutely phenomenal and the venue is so versatile - seamlessly transitioning from summer cocktail reception, to restaurant, to party vibes. The food and drinks were delicious, the service exemplary and all our guests left happy and singing Starlings praises! We cannot thank you enough and look forward to seeing you all (including Jeffrey) soon! Jess & Sol
