Exclusive and romantic, Mapperton is a charming wedding venue located in Beaminster, Dorset. Boasting guest-pleasing gardens with views over the valley, stately home heritage, and a superb rustic yet modern rustic barn, the property will make the perfect backdrop for your celebration.
Facilities and Capacity
Mapperton is ideal for couples looking for a personalised approach to their wedding with plenty of wow factors as well as practical solutions for every element of your day. They have four beautiful outdoor ceremony locations and three licensed indoor areas including the Great Hall inside Mapperton House! After you exchange vows, you can celebrate with drinks and nibbles outside the Orangery and take in the stunning views of the gardens and further countryside. The property encourages guests to wander through its award-winning grounds and discover gorgeous photo opportunities. You and your guests can relax in the tranquil surroundings while sipping on a few cocktails. For your wedding breakfast at the Coach House, there is a capacity of up to 120 seated guests with alternative spaces to host up to 600 guests. The venue retains its heritage charm with original features while having up-to-date amenities. Rustic trestle tables and crossback chairs will be included in your package. If you would prefer an outdoor wedding, they offer a traditonal pole marquee to pitch up on-site, with space to extend, along with a stretch tent to use anywhere within the grounds. With the marquee beside the Coach House, it will make your special occasion an even bigger one!

At Mapperton, our Weddings Manager who will help guide you with the planning and will seamlessly oversee your day, allowing you to relax and enjoy every moment. Wake up in the bridal bedroom of Garden Cottage on the morning of your wedding, with an additonal 2 cottages also available. At the end of the festivities, you can stroll back across the lawn to the room hand in hand, reminiscing on your wonderful celebration. Our dream wedding!!
A stunning venue and just one of the most magical of places!! We are so grateful that we found this incredible house and gardens for our wedding! The whole day just felt like a dream. The gardens are stunning and made for such a beautiful back drop for our wedding and reception, plus the most amazing of photos!!
Holly, Emma and the rest of the team were absolutely wonderful. Holly was so helpful with the planning and helping me to organise the day exactly how we wanted it to be and Emma was a dream on the day, keeping everything going and keeping me calm! The professionalism and hard work of the whole team on the lead up and on the day was brilliant, I never had a doubt in my mind that this was the perfect place for us!
They work with great vendors and gave us the freedom to do our day how we wanted, with no ask too big. Our guests had the most fantastic day and are still talking about how beautiful the gardens are! We could not recommend Mapperton enough, if you are unsure... just go and visit, your mind will be made up in seconds!!

Our dream wedding!!!
The absolute most perfect wedding venue ever! Mapperton had everything that we wanted and we absolutely fell in love with it, no venue in the area compared!! It was a complete blank canvas in the coach house which we really liked and there were many ceremony options (inside and outside) but we opted with the croquet lawn which was simply stunning. The gardens are sensational and many of our guests have said it’s the most beautiful wedding venue they have ever been to.
There’s two cottage’s on site too so we used one for the bridal party and then one for the grooms, this was such an amazing option to have and really added to the whole weekend experience!
Holly our wedding co-ordinator was incredible, so kind and understanding.
No question was too big and she helped us quickly on any wedding advice / help that we needed. We really appreciated her being there through anything that we needed, she was amazing on the day and it all ran smoothly which was completely all her hard work but also leading up to the wedding too. She helped so much & we truly appreciate her! She really understood our vision!
If you are thinking of booking Mapperton for your wedding then DO IT, it was simply a dream come true that we will remember for the rest of our lives.

A beautiful venue with excellent vendors
We had quite simply a perfect wedding day at Mapperton. The venue is beautiful and has so many different options for how you could have your day. We used the croquet lawn, formal gardens, marquee and coach house at various points. The two cottages on site are also lovely, and a wonderful place to get ready.
It's expensive but you do get a lot for your money. We also used a lot of their preferred suppliers who were great. Hungry Mule in particularly!
The best thing about using Mapperton though is that in the cost of the venue you also get a wedding planner - Holly. Holly is an absolute dream, fantastic to work with and made the whole experience of planning our wedding a dream come true. Mapperton has a real gem with Holly and she would be one of the main reasons I would recommend using the venue (as well as how beautiful it is!).

We had the best wedding day at Mapperton
Our wedding at Mapperton was a dream come true. Mapperton is a beautiful venue; the gardens are stunning, the Coach House is lovely. The scenery, amenities and ability to customise your wedding day is what drew us to it initially. We're still blown away by how beautiful everything turned out on the day.
Holly was our wonderful Events Manager and from the very beginning, we felt we were in safe hands. Holly was very responsive when we had questions and gave great advice when we weren't sure about certain details. She is an incredibly organised person and made the process so easy. We loved our meetings with Holly - we always left the meetings feeling reassured! On the day, she made sure everything ran smoothly so that we didn't have to worry about anything. Words can't express how grateful I was to work with someone like Holly! Holly is a great person - she's great fun and she really cares, and that shows in her attention to detail and commitment to make sure your best day is the best. We appreciate everything she did so much!

The perfect venue
Working with Holly & the team at Mapperton for our wedding was such an easy, seamless process. Holly made us feel at ease from the outset, listened to us and worked closely with us to ensure we would have the perfect day. Holly was very patient with us, going above and beyond to guide us when we didn’t know what we were doing and accommodate our all our requests. Holly was always on hand in the run up to the day to field any questions we had and were very supportive in guiding us through every stage of the planning - her expertise & experience really made us feel we didn’t have to worry about anything.
Holly and the team were amazing when it came to the set up the day before and the morning of the event, working hard to get everything set up according to the plan. We absolutely loved our wedding day at Mapperton, it was perfect and that’s mainly down to Holly making sure everything ran so smoothly. We’re so grateful that we were able to enjoy the day to the maximum because Holly was there to really take care of everything. Simply the BESt
From the moment we meet Holly we were sold. She is so dedicated to her couples and goes above and beyond to ensure that our perfect day was created. Always available to answer our questions and nothing was to much trouble.
The grounds are stunning and everything is easily adaptable to have the day run how you wish.
The week of the wedding Holly was just incredible, constant communication throughout the week and anything that came up she sorted it was able to accommodate.
The day of the wedding ran perfectly, a few little blips with guests late arrival but Holly kept everything running calmly and smooth through out.
Holly became apart of our wedding party and I honestly feel like we came out with a friend.

A fantastic wedding experience!
Holly, our amazing wedding coordinator, was an absolute dream to work with, and we couldn’t recommend her more! She coordinated our August wedding flawlessly, making the entire experience feel effortless and enjoyable. From day one, Holly was there to support us through every step, talking us through each part of the planning process in such a calm and reassuring way. She made us feel completely at ease and was always available to answer questions or offer advice. Holly also managed communication with all our suppliers, so we felt incredibly organised and stress-free throughout. Her passion for her work shines through in everything she does. The most perfect day at a dream venue
Patrick and I had the most incredible experience getting married at Mapperton. From the moment we first visited we knew it was the perfect venue for us due to how flexible, versatile and stunning it is.
Holly our amazing wedding coordinator was one of the reasons we chose the venue and is a true asset to Mapperton. She was there to take us through the whole process, being a fountain of knowledge for amazing suppliers in the South West and nothing was too big an ask. Most importantly she made sure our day ran like clockwork and we couldn't have asked for a better day. Our guests have given us so many compliments saying it is the favourite wedding they have ever been to and this is all thanks to the hard work put in by the team at Mapperton.
We can't wait to pop in, take a walk around the stunning Italian gardens and visit the Mapperton family to remember our special day.

Wonderful, unique experience
The venue is so extensive you have all of the best worlds in one place. You want gardens, they've got them. A chapel for your celebrant, they've got it. A barn for your meal, done. A gorgeous house for picture backdrops, they've got that too!
They also have wonderful Holly who was fundamental to our day being so smooth and enjoyable. She was magically there when you needed her and disappeared when you didn't. She was quick on the phone, on email. Nothing was too big a deal. When we had a hiccup, she had a solution. We picked the venue after meeting Holly and she was just excellent.

Best Day of Our Lives
We had an amazing experience planning our wedding at Mapperton, Holly was incredible, staying late to have meetings with us, and thinking of all the little things we may have forgotten.
On the day Holly insured everything ran smoothly, she was always there just when we needed her. All our guests had the most amazing time! They were all very complimentary about the setting, and local suppliers that Mapperton suggested.
We could not have wished for a better day!

Wonderful - Mapperton is very special
We are delighted to have got married at Mapperton. Holly the wedding co-ordinator was very responsive and helpful and made us feel like No.1. She is confident and truly knows her stuff, covering bases we hadn't even thought of.
The grounds and venue are stunning - even though it rained on our day, we barely noticed because we were having so much fun. Holly was even armed with brollies as my bridesmaids and I approached the coach house for the ceremony. There is nothing I would have changed about our wedding and Mapperton certainly was the solid foundation of what made our day amazing.
