Escape into the peaceful Cotswold countryside for your perfect wedding day. The Barn at Upcote is an exclusive use, Cotswold barn wedding venue set around a country garden courtyard amongst rolling hills.
The venue creates the perfect canvas to design your day, authentic and tailored to you. Our wonderful team can help you through the wedding planning process from start to finish, to create a unique day packed full of memories, nestled within the quintessential Cotswold countryside.
Our standard venue hire rate includes the following:
- Exclusive use of the Barns (Threshing Barn, Grain Store, Sheep Shed, Cart Lodge) and Top & Courtyard lawns for your Wedding day from 10am to the end of the evening
- Professional and experienced wedding coordinators with decades of experience to help you throughout the planning process and on the day itself
- Use of the Hay Barn honeymoon cottage on your wedding day from 11am (for getting ready) and including the night of the wedding to the following morning, with complimentary continental breakfast
- Furniture including chairs and tables (trestle or round tables)
- Ceremony set up – we don’t charge you extra if you would like to have your ceremony onsite
- Fully stocked and staffed bar which accepts cash, card, contactless and Apple pay
- The secret garden for your couple photographs, and surrounding fields and woodland area too
- Fairy light curtain in the Grain Store and fairy lights on the beams in the Sheep Shed (Bar)
- Use of Bluetooth speakers for your music throughout the day and PA system for your speeches
- Removal of your decorations to a handy storage area for you to collect the next morning
- Evening firepit for toasting marshmallows
- Onsite parking with easy accessibility from major roads and towns nearby

A perfect venue for a perfect day!
We booked The Barn at Upcote blindly from Thailand for our wedding venue and we are incredibly glad we trusted our guts on this!
From start to finish, the team were so lovely and couldn't help enough theough the planning process. They executed our vision flawlessly and made sure that even though we didn't have a wedding planner, nothing went wrong! We worked with them to have a plan A and B depending on the weather and when Storm Amy whipped around us on our wedding day, it wasn't even an issue.
We were sad to miss out on experiencing the full offerings of the stunning grounds, but honestly this didn't take away from our wedding day and the experience we had. The venue was perfect for our day party of around 75 guests and evening of around 90 guests. The venue was intimate and felt like more than enough space for our guests, whilst also looking amazingly full and busy when we were all raving away on the dancefloor.
A special shout out to the lady behind the bar who sheltered a newborn baby and her Mother from the intense noise from the Dhol players! But the whole team were honestly amazing and made the whole experience stress-free. We would highly recommend The Barn at Upcote to anybody thinking of holding their event here!

The most stunning wedding venue you'll come across!
We loved celebrating our special day at the Barn at Upcote - the team is an absolute joy to work with, from the planning meetings all the way through the team on the day. We will genuinely miss talking to them, and couldn't have asked for a better day! No request was ever too much, and everything was managed perfectly - I couldn't recommend the venue enough!

Our perfect Venue!
We always knew we would need to get married on a weekday to have our dream wedding within budget. Upcote delivered on every level and matched our vibe perfectly!! It's a dreamy Cotswold barn surrounded by fields which makes it very private. We had the best day! We looked at a lot of venues but it was the team that sealed the deal. All the girls put us at ease from booking upto the day and helped us pull everything together. No question to small or too big. They have been very responsive & the check-in meetings we had were lovely & helped keep us on track. We got so many compliments on the day from family & friends, the space was perfect for our smaller wedding size of 50 people, it felt spacious and cosy all at the same time!
We wanted a colourful wedding day, and the decor came together like we hoped, so joyful. Upcote was the perfect backdrop and looked stunning in the photos. The secret garden was lovely for our couple's photos.

Gorgeous wedding venue and fantastic team
We just got married at The Barn at Upcote and couldn't have wished for a better wedding venue experience. The staff are so friendly, professional and organised, both before and during the big day. They helped make our day super special and run very smoothly. The Barn is beautiful and hardly needs any decoration to make it wedding-ready. Our guests had nothing but good things to say about the venue and we would highly recommend to any couple.

Perfectly picturesque
Beautiful venue with such a lovely team of staff. They were all amazing and helped every step of the way. We had a small ceremony of 30 people so if your looking for a venue that suits that size the barn is perfect. Genuinely couldn't have been happier!

Most magical day in a rustic setting
Our wedding day was flawless, thanks to Sophie’s help planning the entire day from every single detail in advance through to running the operation on the day. The most gorgeous Cotswold barn, in an intimate and hidden setting. Perfect for a midsized wedding with close friends and family.
The honeymoon suite was a little lackluster. The toilet was broken upon arrival the day before when we set up and we notified the staff then. However, whilst getting ready with 4 x bridesmaids, MOB and myself with a makeup artist in the suite on the day of the wedding, the staff decided that was the best time to spend 2 hours trying to fix the toilet seat issue. We were unable to use the bathroom during this time and felt an inconvenience when we did try. The room also came with very basic amenities and a cold croissant left out overnight for a morning breakfast. Also, no one came into the room to just spruce it up between us getting ready and retiring for the evening. We feel this would’ve been a fair expectation given the cost of the venue and personalised & quality service we had up until that point.
Overall, it was a magical day and we had an absolute ball which we will cherish forever.

Incredible wedding venue!
We couldn’t have asked for a better venue than The Barn at Upcote for our wedding! From the moment we started planning, the team were incredibly helpful and attentive, making sure every detail was taken care of. They truly went above and beyond to ensure our day ran smoothly, and their support was so appreciated. The location is absolutely stunning, with the beautiful countryside providing the perfect backdrop for our special day. All our guests had a wonderful time, and we received so many compliments on the venue. We highly recommend The Barn at Upcote to anyone looking for the perfect wedding venue!

The Most Perfect Venue + Team
The Barn at Upcote was the first and only venue me and my partner viewed for our wedding and we absolutely hit the jackpot.
The venue is absolutely stunning - intimate, rural + a gorgeous blank canvas that we didn’t need much decor. It rained on my wedding day and even in the rain, the venue just shone!
The team are so friendly, warm and accommodating. Nothing was ever too much trouble and they were absolutely perfect at responding and adjusting to our needs throughout the process.
I want to attend a future wedding at the Barn at Upcote as my guests said it was so great. They have a good list of recommended suppliers too who were all wonderful.
Even though it’s fairly close to Cheltenham, you really feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere. I DIYed my wedding but the team reassured me and delivered on the promise that everything would be set up with no hassle.
I couldn’t recommend them more!

The Perfect Venue!
We had our wedding here at the start of June and we can happily say it was the best day of our lives. From the moment we turned up to view the venue for the first time, Sophie and the rest of the team were fantastic with us and made the wedding planning process so much less stressful than it otherwise would have been. Their overall communication in the lead-up to the big day was also brilliant. The venue is an amazing place to host a wedding, and we couldn't be happier with our decision to marry at the Barn at Upcote. All our guests came away saying what a great day they had, and we will look back fondly on this day and the build-up to our wedding for the rest of our lives.

The perfect venue
We had the most perfect day here and wish we could do it all over again! The venue is beautiful and the staff are amazing, so professional and couldn’t do enough for us.
Lovely addition of a bridal suite, meaning you can stay on site the night of your wedding.
Really responsive to messages leading up to the day which meant my wedding anxiety was kept at bay!

A perfect day and venue!
We had the most incredible experience from start to end with the Barn at Upcote! We looked at a variety of venues in the area for an outdoor ceremony, and as soon as we saw photos of this idyllic location we knew it was the place for us. As well as the incredible setting, what really sold us was the exceptional staff - from when we first got in touch they were amazingly kind and friendly, and made it clear that they'd be happy to shape the day into whatever we wanted it to be. Both the attitude of the staff and the layout of the venue allowed us to plan a really fun and unique wedding with lots of different areas for different activities. We have never been so happy as when we showed up at our wedding and it had been transformed into exactly what we'd pictured, and then to see our guests start enjoying themselves there.
We had planned out quite a particular day, but on the day we did not have to lift a finger! The venue staff absolutely understood everything that we wanted, and executed it perfectly, from how everything looked to the timings for everything. It was incredible to be able to communicate what we wanted and then not have to worry at all about it getting done because of the exceptionally kind and competent staff. All we can say now is thank you so much to this venue for giving us the best day of our lives. And they even managed to swing us perfect weather, too! Please do choose this venue for your special day, you will be so happy you did.
