Unique and Unusual Wedding Venues in South West - England

Everything about Dunkertons as a wedding venue was amazing. Rebecca in the events team was super responsive, helpful and enthusiastic which made planning the wedding so easy (especially as we were doing most of the prep from overseas). The venue itself offers so much. The multiple food options, the separate area with indoor and outdoor options and its own bar makes for the perfect place for a party. The staff are awesome - especially Rebecca (can't stress enough how awesome she was) - and helped create a super laid back but well organised feel. Would 100% recommend!

What can we say about yesterday? A fantastic day for Diane and me that was so special because of the unique, special, location. Throughout the service from you and your team has been unbelievably brilliant. Right from the first time we walked onto the ship back in January we were both convinced that it would be the prefect location for out wedding. It was totally a "spur of the moment" decision. We just went to visit the ship, saw the brochure about weddings and then and there decided, "this is just so right" and as you know we booked for "as soon as possible". Thanks to you personally for all the help you have given us, and please pass on our thanks to the whole team. We know that there are lots of people involved. However, please give our special thanks to both Bob, and Steve, They both were brilliant on the day - Bob especially. Attention to detail is so important, and the level of detail was amazing. All of our guests remarked on the magnificence of the location. A unique venue for a special day and one that was perfect for the start of our married life. We were proud to be, in Bob's words, "now part of the history of the SS Great Britain".

My partner and I had hoped to have our wedding at We the Curious years before we actually did, in large part due to the fire that shut the building. During this time we had frequent communication with the team at the museum and this continued into when the reopening happened and the planning could begin again. We had a wonderful experience with the planning and then the actual day was magical and everything we’d hoped for. Would fully recommend a wedding here. The planetarium for the ceremony was spectacular and the events space was perfect for the party! The team were all lovely and wonderful at making everything happen for us.

We had our wedding and reception in Devizes town hall . Beautiful building , very reasonably priced and nothing was too much trouble. Maxine always kept us in the loop about what was going on. Lee was incredible from start to finish before and during our wedding day and Ian took over in the evening. Nothing but 5 star service which ment we could relax and enjoy our day .

ANRAN was special from the start, and we fell in love with it almost immediately after our first and last scoping visit. Mike, Edwin Melissa are a dream team with highly recommended vendors who are familiar with the vnue. The setting, the customization you can do to make your day special was incomparable to other venues we had seen and their restrictive contract on what companies you can hire. The overall venue flow and options (e.g. Glass House, Lily Pond, Plant House, Glamping, The Orchard and more) give you the ability to mix and match, almost creating a music festival out of your wedding! Because the venue is so beautifully managed, you don't even need to spend that much on flowers and decor which was a HUGE plus! Our family members and friends were in awe with the set up - especially those coming in from London, when they saw The Hut for the after party, they even said that it felt like they were in some underground rave in London :)

We couldn’t have asked for a better wedding venue than Manor by the Lake. From the very beginning, the team were incredibly responsive, answering all of our questions promptly and making the whole planning process feel stress-free and enjoyable. On the day itself, everything ran so smoothly thanks to their professionalism, organisation and attention to detail. The staff genuinely cared about us and our guests, ensuring we were looked after every step of the way. They brought our vision to life perfectly and made the day even more special than we had imagined. We truly couldn’t fault a thing. If you’re looking for a beautiful venue with an exceptional team behind it, we would wholeheartedly recommend Manor by the Lake.

Thank you we had such an amazing day on the 26th of May ... The day was perfect ... wish we could do it all over again, everyone loved the venue and had a great time

What can I say about the Italian Villa? It is a dream venue - beautiful buildings, gorgeous gardens and three fantastic function rooms. The best part if it all though would be the team. They were attentive in the planning phase, very flexible and never overbearing. On the day itself they were remarkable - the team were were on top of everything, we didn't need to worry about a thing, they are a true credit to Compton Acres. The food was amazing and was received well by all guests - a gluten free guest of mine was particularly happy about their treatment of her dietry requirements, arranging a plate for her without a hitch. Honestly the day could not have gone better. Thank you so much to the entire Itallan Villa Team.

We had an absolutely unbelievable wedding at the Museum and Art Gallery - every single person we've talked to has been blown away by the venue, and just how organised everything was. Tillie Hoyland supported us for two years before the special day itself and was absolutely critical, saving us from a handful of mental breakdowns! Thom Clarke supported us on the day itself and was an absolute hero, resolving every problem that cropped up without delay (we had the joy of some older family members forgetting to RSVP and just showing up anyway, oops!). We couldn't have asked for a better team in that regard. The venue is magnificent, unique and startlingly well priced, and the catering was exceptional. 10/10, no notes

We had our wedding on the pier a couple of weeks ago. Kelly has been fantastic throughout the whole process. So obliging. We felt confident that she would organise all of the entertainment crew, and she did a brilliant job. We had several visits beforehand which allowed us to see the room set up, and Kelly helped us bring our wedding stuff to the room. The team on the day were brilliant. Thanks Kerri and the other lady ( so sorry I have forgotten your name 😔). I felt very supported by you and the whole process of getting me and my bridesmaids to the ceremony. The catering team and the bar staff were friendly and efficient, and the food was amazing. Our guests loved the option to go on the rides and the man on the bumper cars allowed us to have our photos taken , albeit holding the queue up! Overall, we had a fantastic day with a perfect venue. We would definitely recommend.
