We are still pinching ourselves at just how perfect our wedding at St Michael’s Resort was. From start to finish, the whole team went above and beyond, and we feel so grateful to every single person who made the day what it was. From the very beginning, Nikki, the sales manager, made us fall in love with the space. She embraced all our crazy ideas, put us at ease straight away, and really sold us on the laid-back, relaxed feel of the venue; exactly the vibe we were looking for. As our planning progressed, Lana joined the team as our coordinator and immediately hit the ground running. She kept us so well informed, supported us with both our vegan and gluten-free needs (a difficult duo to cater for), and helped bring our vision to life. It was such a comfort knowing she was on our side throughout the planning (and we’re convinced we’ll see her at a Zach Bryan gig sometime soon!). On the day itself, Ella stepped in last minute and was an absolute star, we couldn’t have been luckier! Her warm, bubbly energy was exactly what we needed; she managed everything to perfection while keeping us relaxed and fully present. She struck the perfect balance of keeping us updated without ever intruding on those special moments. Andrew, the F&B manager, was also incredible. He fielded my endless questions with patience, and made sure everything ran seamlessly. He was with us from 8am until midnight on the wedding day, literally through every moment, making sure things were running without a hitch! Alongside the amazing service, was of course, the bespoke menu the chefs created for us which was nothing short of phenomenal. Our guests are still raving about it! And finally, bar man Oli deserves his own special shout-out. From our pre-wedding event to the big day itself (and somehow still showing up at breakfast the morning after), he spent practically 24 hours with us and our guests; serving up fantastic drinks, even better dance moves, and endless energy. He felt like part of the party as much as part of the team, and we can’t thank him enough. The whole team at St Michael’s were amazing. They made sure every detail, no matter how small, was handled with care and warmth. From the monumental vegan breakfast spread of dreams for the bridal party, to the way they looked after each and every one of our guests, they exceeded every expectation we had. We are endlessly grateful to everyone at St Michael’s Resort. They didn’t just host our wedding; they created an experience we and our guests will treasure forever. The stunning sea views and beautiful setting were the icing on the cake, but it was the people who made it truly unforgettable. We already can’t wait to come back again! *all photos by Matt Ebbage

The venue of our dreams! Driving into the venue is like driving into another world! We knew we wanted our wedding to be uniquely us. With my husband’s family routes in Cornwall, our love of the water and our perchant for a party, this was the place for us. We had our ceremony outside overlooking the beautiful coastline. A drinks and cocktail reception on the lawn, a delicious wedding breakfast in the main hall and golden hour of dreams on the private beach. We loved that we could have the venue for the weekend, with many of our family coming from far and wide, being able to spend those extra days together is so precious. The fort also lets you choose whichever suppliers you like, meaning our day could be exactly what we wanted. Free flowing wine we provided ourselves, our own decor, our choice of caterers, a cocktail hour, the band from our favourite rugby club back home and Cornish pasties from our favourite bakery for evening food! Thank you for helping make our day so incredible!

Claire and Tom at Surfside understood exactly what we wanted, and delivered. Al the staff were smiley and attentive. The perfect relaxed beach side setting, we got the dream scenario . A very Special day

Where to begin… From the moment we first stumbled across Tunnels Beaches online, it completely stopped us in our tracks — and seeing it in person only confirmed what we already felt: this was the place we had to get married. The setting is unlike anywhere else we’ve ever seen… wild, private, unspoiled, and somehow both dramatic and peaceful at the same time. But what truly sets Tunnels apart is everything behind the view. The team is exceptional — warm, responsive, organised and genuinely invested in making the whole experience feel effortless. Jamie answered every question and query quickly and every detail handled with such care. Because we aren’t local to the area, we relied heavily on the venue’s recommended suppliers list for things like photography and hair and makeup — and I’m so glad we did. It turned out to be one of the best decisions we made. I genuinely feel like we ended up with the absolute best of the best, and having that guidance removed so much stress. It was invaluable. By the time the wedding day arrived — blessed with the most beautiful late-September sunshine — Everything unfolded so smoothly, with an unhurried and natural flow. We didn’t need to think or manage a thing. The team quietly took care of every detail in the background so we could just enjoy every moment. They even accommodated a last-minute request for us to slip away for a cocktail on the sun terrace while our guests were being seated for dinner, which ended up being one of our favourite little memories of the day. Tunnels Beaches is such a unique place, but it’s the people who elevate it from a beautiful venue to an exceptional experience. We’re so grateful for the care, professionalism, and warmth we were shown from start to finish. Our wedding day was everything we hoped it would be, and we truly can’t imagine having celebrated it anywhere else.

Firstly I want to say thank you to all at Sandycove who made our day so special! From planning, to every minute of our stay we were treated exceptionally and nothing was too much trouble. I can honestly say that EVERY member of staff we encountered were professional, friendly and helpful. The wedding planners prior and on the day, the receptionist, chef, waitress and night porter who ensured all of our needs were met, even at 5 in the morning! Our wedding was everything I dreamed of! We had an elopement and I have had so many comments of how stunnoing our venue looked, most people thought we had been abroad. The food was 5* and the venue was beutiful, clean and welcoming.  I cant thank you all enough. They say your wedding day should be the happiest day of your life, and for us it truly was, thanks to Sandycove and all the staff. Thank you X

Got married on 29th November and our Lusty Glaze wedding was beyond spectacular. It was everything that we wanted it to be... and more. We honestly wouldn't change a single thing. To be in that glorious setting, surrounded by the people we love, was just fabulous. The staff at Lusty are wonderful, every single one of them. Our guests keep raving on about how lovely ALL the staff were, how delicious the carvery was and about the beauty of the venue, of course. We had the winter wedding package with up to 60 day guests. The food was a two meat carvery and it was outstanding. Amazing photo opportunities and the wedding planning team were outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble and their communication was always quick, throughout the year of organising. Highly recommend Lusty Glaze.

Incredible venue in the gardens. A very much do it yourself venue but no limit to suppliers you can use and no corkage! Only small criticism would be I think they need to replace the floors as they have large scratches which makes it look a bit more budget.

Absolute gem of a place such a large venue to hold our Vow Renewals. When we met Lorraine she was fantastic at providing us with options on what we could do on the day . We had a company provide the decor which Lorraine is happy to provide details for and Tracy from The Perfect Package is amazing at what she does. The staff was fantastic on the day Adam the Dj played for the guests everyone had the most amazing day and night. Brilliant value for money ... honestly massive thank you to you all .

We had our wedding weekend at the beautiful carlton hotel on the 27th April 2024. All the hotel staff went above and beyond our expectations and our special day was flawess. All our guest comments on how, friendly, attentive and amazing hardworking every staff member was over the entire weekend. I would highly recommend having your wedding here the ceremony room is absolutely beautiful with sea views even if the weather isn't great the room is still big and bright. The food was excellent throughout the weekend and all guest had positive feedback. I would like ro make a special mention to Mark(special events manager) who organised our wedding from start to finish and how passionate he was ensuring our wedding went perfectly. He is a credit to the hotel.

Watermouth Cove Weddings was nothing short of breathtaking. From our first visit we knew it was the one and booked days later. The entire team went above and beyond to make our day feel truly magical — every detail was thought of, every moment felt cared for, and nothing was ever too much to ask. They embraced all of my witchy ideas with excitement and even let us ride our late father’s motorbike in, creating a moment we will treasure forever. The setting itself is stunning, but it’s the people who make it unforgettable. Zoe, Georgia & Sam had everything under control and planned to the finest detail even with a few last minute curve balls thrown in! We love the onsite accomodation and having all our nearest family onsite. Only improvement here for us would be slightly bigger accomodation to account for us big Irish families with loads of kids! Other than that everyone loved it and kept saying how lush it was. The bridal suite is spectacular and omg the views you wake up to! Massive thank you to the gorgeous Head Chef! Your food was absolutely delicious and felt never-ending! Thank you for letting us still have a BBQ and the scone cake… wow. What a showstopper! Another huge thank you to Linda who was just there at every turn making sure everything was ok and for those beautiful fruity rum punches! Everyone loved you and said how amazing you were. Thank you to all the lush bar staff you were incredible and kept us well watered! Thank you for embracing our Halloween party and crazy kids. We couldn’t have wished for a more perfect venue or a more dedicated, warm-hearted team! Thank you so much Mr & Mrs Pertl xx
