Barn & Farm Wedding Venues in Somerset

Old oak farm where do I begin! This venue is beyond stunning! I have been watching old oak for a long time and couldn’t wait to see the venue. When we arrived the venue was still in building mode but we could see the potential from then and knew that was the perfect place for us to get married. The whole process has been easy, great communication and lots of support. We had a few meetings and each time the owners were lovely, really friendly and helpful, we spoke about what sort of things we wanted and Rebecca really helped us with ideas and offered us her props and decorations, we went through all the food options and running of the day, there were some many things to choose from which was lovely as I left feeling more together and organised. The day of the wedding the venue was just perfect, the set up was everything we had wanted and more. When I arrived the owners and staff were all there ready and willing to help. After the ceremony the staff were there being attentive giving out drinks and our canapés. We went off for photos but when we came back we had sliders presented to us which was a nice touch as I know sometimes the bride and groom can get forgotten whilst they aren’t there and there’s nothing left when they get back. Though out the day the staff were amazing always there to help but at the same time they were very discreet which again is another great attitude. We had a buffet style meal which was absolutely beautiful, as our meal was served Rebecca came with a separate plate for me (I hadn’t noted down my food preferences when I had done the other guests but Rebecca had picked up on it during our pre wedding conversations, which was a really lovely touch with a attention to detail). This happened again in the evening, we had homemade pizzas which my husband couldn’t have, the staff checked in with him asking if he wanted his separate order, he wasn’t ready so they checked in shortly after making sure he wasn’t forgotten and no one else got his dish. The venue was kept clean and tidy all day but again without us even knowing, the day ran like clockwork and Rebecca and her staff checked in making sure we were happy or needed anything though out the day. We had so many compliments about how beautiful the venue was, how attentive the staff were, how clean the venue was especially the toilets which everyone loved. As for the food everyone was so impressed, the vegetarians said it was nice that they received their food first because they often feel like an afterthought or forgotten. Everyone said it was the nicest wedding food they had ever had with lots of choice and variety and that there plenty of it. It was the same for the evening meal the fresh cooked pizzas cooked outside went down a treat. The night of the wedding we stayed at the venue, again there was so much attention to detail in the room, lovely robes and mr and Mrs cups, bubbly, biscuits and strawberries then croissants for breakfast and the quaint Little lodge was tucked out of the way and just beautiful. The following morning the staff and cleaned up and packed all our stuff up making it really easy for us to pack up. We had such an amazing day, it was everything we wanted and more and that’s all thanks to old oak farm and their amazing staff, we can not thank you enough for being so attentive and amazing, we wouldn’t have wanted to have our wedding anyway else it was just perfect, you should be very proud of what you have created and the work you do. Old oak is absolutely stunning with its pure attention to detail it really is beautiful. The communication, support and flexibility has been spot on. On the day we were well looked after, the staff were brilliant, there but discreet, very friendly and approachable, great customer care. The venue was beautiful, so clean and tidy all day, the toilet received lots of compliments about how nice they were as well as always clean. The whole process has been a breeze, I really enjoyed planning our wedding with old oak farm, I really lovely, unforgettable experience.

25/09/25 - found Priston mill on Hitched - it was the first place we viewed and booked straight away! We didn’t view anywhere else. The place is gorgeous, very reasonably priced and all the staff were amazing. We were assigned a coordinator who was with us during the planning meeting, the set up and the day (Johanna!) and she was so friendly and helpful and made everything super easy! Priston mill were quick to respond and have everything thought of and just get things done taking all stress away. We were so impressed with the space and they collaborate well with all vendors making everything come together nicely. The waiters were friendly and professional. The food was glorious and had many compliments (thank you chef!). Would fully fully recommend!!

From the moment we booked our wedding it was nothing but smooth sailing. All the staff made us feel welcome and we were looked after from start to finish. Nothing was to much trouble. Venue was so beautiful with amazing views. Food was amazing and the turn around of the barn through out the day was so smooth. Accommodation was also amazing. Very clean and spacious and our friends and family had nothing but lovely things to say.

We could not have been more delighted to celebrate our wedding at Aldwick Estate. From our first visit, right through to the wedding day itself, everything was handled with professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine care. Alison, Saffron and Sarah were fantastic throughout, consistently going above and beyond to ensure everything was perfectly organised and that the day ran without a hitch. Their regular communication made the entire planning process feel simple, and we loved the opportunity to visit the venue during the planning process for the tasting - which we would highly recommend even if you're not currently planning on getting married! The venue and accommodation is beautiful and we knew from our first visit that it was the one. We appreciated all the unique touches that the venue offered, such as the wine tasting during the reception which our guests absolutely loved. We are incredibly grateful for the hard work, kindness, and care that everyone at Aldwick put into making our day so special. Our wedding day was truly unforgettable, and we would happily recommend Aldwick Estate to anyone and everyone.

We had the best day and we honestly couldn’t have chosen a more perfect wedding venue. The venue itself is absolutely stunning, so beautiful that our guests didn’t want to leave and couldn’t stop commenting on how gorgeous it was. The staff were amazing from start to finish: incredibly friendly, welcoming, and so attentive, which made the whole day completely stress-free. The food was beautiful and plentiful, with everyone thoroughly enjoying it, and we were so impressed with how thoughtfully they catered for all dietary requirements. We were lucky enough to have our ceremony outside, as well as our first dance, which made the entire day feel truly magical. Everything flowed perfectly, and we wouldn’t change a single thing. If we could do it all again, we would, without hesitation. Highly recommend this venue to anyone dreaming of a perfect wedding day.

We couldn’t have dreamed of a more perfect wedding! The venue is stunning, the staff were amazing from start to finish, and every little detail was taken care of. We felt completely supported and relaxed throughout the lead up and the day. Everything ran so smoothly, and we can’t recommend Wick Farm enough, it truly made our wedding unforgettable!

We got married at the Cider barn a couple of weeks ago and it was absolutely perfect. The barn is so beautiful and set in the most idyllic setting. The kitchen and other amenities are brilliant. What you don't see from the photos however is the service that the Dillington team provide which we thought was exceptional. Esther and her team are so responsive, patient, organised and kind, and make the planning run as seamlessly as possible. Hopefully wont be booking again but I would 1000% recommend.

We have not only had the most magical wedding weekend but from the first viewing, a year before our wedding, Jess and Ian have made the whole experience so seamless, straightforward and fun. Court Farm is the most stunning home/venue/location, nestled in the countryside but so near to beautiful Frome and Bath. Jess and Ian made us feel so at home and at ease on our wedding weekend, it was amazing to be able to have friends and family to stay in the beautiful rooms so that everyone could share the experience. The prop cupboard is amazing - so unusual and generous to have access to such cool additions to the wedding. Jess kindly recommended some fantastic suppliers but we also had the freedom to choose and bring our own, again a real bonus. Despite a wet and wild Summer, the sun shone on our wedding day, as it has every time we visited Court Farm. Thank you so much for the most magical wedding venue and stay.

Waterside gave us a beautiful canvas to do whatever we wanted, so the space truly became ours for the big day. We organised everything in 8 months which could have been overwhelming but there was so much support from Lauren and very good communication throughout. On the day Lauren, Georgia and the staff were excellent and made everything flow perfectly. All the guests felt relaxed and welcome instantly and the children (and our dog) had a fantastic time exploring. The added bonus of the accommodation meant we could extend our time over a few days with friends and family.
