Leigh court was the most perfect wedding venue. Beautiful inside and out lots of photo opportunities. Kind and helpful team and Epic catering Food is incredible. Could not recommend enough. Can’t get ready there is the only down fall but the team and venue out way this small thing.

We can’t thank Emma, Joy and the team enough for all their hard work in helping us celebrate such a magical day. From the moment we reached out, they gave us honest advice on how to make our ideas a reality. We had a bunch of different ideas we wanted to include, and Emma was super accommodating, making sure we could fit in as much as we wanted. I’d highly recommend taking their advice on board as they used a lot of their past experiences with weddings that helped in adapting it the way we wanted. The communication was excellent and the exclusivity they offered on the day made it feel even more personal to us. It was truly special to stand in the biome, looking at all our family and friends dancing and having a blast, all in a setting that felt just like a Greek Taverna. We had a surprise brass band which was an awesome touch that really added to the fun, and Eden did a great job keeping everything on schedule. We weren’t so great at keeping the speeches from going over! But there was no rush or stress from the team. They let it flow and were still able to get everybody fed in good time. The food was fantastic—we couldn’t have asked for better! We went with paella, and we’d definitely recommend adding that to your menu. The ceremony took place in the centre of the biome and although the weather was rather cloudy that day, the setting was still perfect and would have been just as great if it rained, particularly as this is the closest, you’ll ever get to guaranteed no rain in an outdoor setting on your wedding day. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience that we’ll always cherish! Thank you Eden!

Michelle, Zoe and their team were amazing in every way - we could not have asked for a better team for our wedding day. Easy to talk to, knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. So many guests complimented us on how perfect the food was and how the service was so smooth - it went like a dream. Our guests loved the Orangery which is spacious and full of natural light. It is beautiful. Many of our guests loved the Italian Garden outside the Orangery where they sat, drank, chatted and relaxed in the sun. Many said they felt like they were abroad. We cannot thank them enough for making our wedding day the best day of our lives. We would definitely recommended them.

We stayed at Smedmore House for four nights for our wedding in early September 2024 with some family and friends. From start to finish, we had such a wonderful experience. The Purbeck coast is a place of great importance to us, hence why we chose to get married there, and Smedmore House was perfect for what we had planned. The house itself was clean & comfortable, and is wonderfully eccentric and decadent. The outside of the house, and the grounds are stunning. Both of which were captured incredibly by our photographers. We had planned initially to have our ceremony on the walkway with the view of the sea. However, our wedding day was perhaps the wettest day of the year (!), and so it was decided to do the entire wedding inside the marquee on the morning of. We felt it was a shame that people didn’t get to experience the grounds in the way we had initially imagined. However, due to our Sunday event (which was sunny!), people were able to explore the grounds then. One of my favourite moments, was my reveal with my bridesmaids and parents. Walking down that beautiful central staircase was a moment I’ll never forget. I also perched myself on a chair at the bottom of the staircase when we needed a breather post ceremony! Pics attached. Eilish was fantastic throughout our stay. She looked after us beautifully, and was always on hand for any questions or problems. Thank you so much for being an integral part of our wedding. Not just the two celebratory days, but having both our immediate families in one place was really special, and something we won’t ever forget. Meg & Joe xxx

My partner and I had hoped to have our wedding at We the Curious years before we actually did, in large part due to the fire that shut the building. During this time we had frequent communication with the team at the museum and this continued into when the reopening happened and the planning could begin again. We had a wonderful experience with the planning and then the actual day was magical and everything we’d hoped for. Would fully recommend a wedding here. The planetarium for the ceremony was spectacular and the events space was perfect for the party! The team were all lovely and wonderful at making everything happen for us.

The most incredible venue for a wedding, guests were blown away and all the staff are brilliant!

Thankyou for all your hard work in making our wedding a fantastic and enjoyable day. Many of our guests have commented on the fabulous building, surroundings and the excellent service you and your staff provided.

We would both like to thank everyone at Roadford for all the done for our big day. From the booking, to the day itself.. everyone was very helpful and friendly, even when I had a major melt down the day before over decorating. Our wedding day ran perfectly thanks to the event managers and the girls serving the wedding dinner and at the bar where friendly and nothing was to much trouble for our guest . All the guest couldn't believe how gorgeous the location is, some couldn't help themselves and had to explore the surroundings. The kids at the wedding really enjoyed all the open space and the play Park. Roadford lakeside really is the perfect venue.

Paul and I had the best day. The venue was stunning- all of our guests commented on how beautiful it was. Everyone had such a wonderful time! Thank you for all your hard work on the day and all your support beforehand. It was a pleasure to work with you all and we will be forever grateful for everything you did.

The Jury Room was the perfect venue for us, with just 16 participants and guests. The Oak panelled walls adorned with the portraits of past City dignitaries created a historic feeling to the proceedings, while the ceremony was relaxed and intimate. The booking procedure was easy and the staff were friendly and helpful, so we can recommend the Guildhall for your Civil Ceremony.
