A bright, airy 17th-century Grade II listed barn nestled in the Cotswolds, The Great Tythe Barn has everything you need for your perfect day! Onsite accommodation can host up to 90 guests, including the spacious Tythe House which sleeps 16 guests and has a gorgeous orangery for getting ready and hosting loved ones. The venue has been recently renovated to provide a perfect blend of modern comforts with that classic cotswold stone look. Here, couples and their guests can enjoy a variety of different spaces, comfortable accommodation, and comprehensive wedding packages to facilitate unforgettable celebrations. Since we are located in Gloucestershire, we have many great surrounding areas like Wiltshire and Bristol, to make your experience even more convient.

Let us take you through what your dream wedding day at The Great Tythe Barn could look like...

After staying onsite in one of our Tythe House or one of our cottages, one of our friendly wedding coordinators will come over and check on you to offer a helping hand and to ease any morning stress. You will then continue your morning getting ready with your wedding party and enjoying your time before the celebrations begin. Once your guests have arrived, we will get everyone seated ready to watch you both say I do! Our venue can hold indoor ceremonies for up to 200 guests, with an outdoor option under our delightful Oak Pavillon which is available in good weather.

Following your wedding ceremony and confetti shot, your drinks reception can take place on our beautiful lawn or in the barns gallery. The fall proof layout of our venue means all weather can be accommodated for. Prior to your day you would have chosen from a wide range of drinks packages on offer which can be adapted and designed to your taste. These will go down a treat alongside your choice of delicious canapés served to you by one of our trusted catering suppliers.

Meanwhile, the ground floor of the barn will be turned around for your wedding breakfast. The adaptability of the barn means we allow for several seating arrangements which will satisfy both you and your guests. Once the room is ready you may opt to do a first look so you and your partner can take in the beauty of what you've deisgned. This is a special moment which allows you to see the wedding brekafast set up before your guests are invited inside.

The catering companies we work with provide outstanding food and service so you are in safe hands whoever you choose. They all offer extensive menus with options to have a three course meal or something a little different like sharing platters or BBQ food.

After the meal is served and speeches have concluded, an option for tea and coffee is available, or guests can make the most of the well-stocked bar.

In the evening, The Great Tythe Barn transforms to a truly spectacular venue for an evening reception with up to 350 guests. Our stage and wooden dance floor provides an excellent space for a band/DJ to set up so your guests can dance the night away. Evening food is also served at this time to keep everyone full of energy.

At the end of the night you and your guests can take advantage of a variety of onsite accommodation, ranging from self-catering cottages & B&B rooms, to our 5 star Tythe House.

The next day we will say our goodbyes and see you off! This is always an emotional moment since we build up such great relationships with our couples, but we are always here for catch ups and anniversary getaways.
