1. Thicket Priory
Twenty minutes from the historic city of York lies Thicket Priory, a Grade II Victorian property that boasts everything you'll need to make your dream fairy tale wedding a reality.
The private country house dates back to 1840 and was designed by Edward Blore (who also worked on Buckingham Palace!) and still features spectacular original architecture.
From the magnificent Ballroom that can seat up to 200 guests and the on-site private Chapel, to the 18 acres of grounds complete with a private lake, boathouse and even a helipad, we weren't kidding when we said this wedding venue is impressive.
More over, there are 35 individually designed bedrooms for you and up to 72 guests to retire to after a day of celebrations. You'll be met with luxury four poster beds, stylish en-suites and glorious countryside views.
2. The Tithe Barn - Bolton Abbey
The Tithe Barn is set within the grounds of the Duke of Devonshire's Bolton Abbey Estate in the Yorkshire Dales and is a rustic barn wedding venue like no other. You only need to look at the pictures to see for yourself how spectacular it is!
The barn has a total capacity of 300 - able to accommodate 200 guests for a ceremony and dining and a further 100 evening guests for your reception.
As the sun starts to set, this wedding venue comes into its own, glowing with fairy lights and candlelight, creating a wonderful ambience.
Although ceremonies take place in the main barn there is ample space and seating outside, where you and your guests can enjoy views across the Bolton Abbey Priory ruins while sipping drinks by the fire pits.
3. Crathorne Hall Hotel
North Yorkshire is home to some fabulous stately homes and Crathorne Hall is one of them. Still occupied by the Dugdale family, this wedding venue welcomes couples to host their celebrations here for an elegant and sophisticated day.
Standing within 15 acres of wonderful woodland that overlooks the Leven Valley, you won't be short of beautiful backdrops at Crathorne Hall. In fact, this venue has French Doors that can be thrown open so you and your guests can enjoy the gorgeous gardens.
For a grand ceremony, the Edwardian Room is the perfect pick. With a capacity of 120 people, you'll be greeted with intricate gold detailing, ornate chandeliers and an original marble fireplace.

Outside of the Chapel there is a courtyard, lawn and orchard with outside seating and glorious views across the grounds and ruins.

6. Howsham Hall
Howsham Hall is a wedding venue that is fit for royalty and will no doubt impress your guests from the very moment they arrive.
You'll have the whole place to yourself for the weekend - that includes 12 luxury bedrooms and your own suite to get ready in (one of the largest in Europe!). You'll also have your own dedicated Event Manager who will take care of every detail no matter how big or small.
