One of Yorkshire's most luxurious wedding venues, Bowcliffe Hall is a stunning Georgian country house set amidst 38 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds.
Beyond the grand entrance gates, the sweeping driveway leads you to this serene estate offering the perfect backdrop for your special day. Accommodating 85 guests for the day time, Bowcliffe Hall is licensed with Leeds Registry Office to host civil ceremonies, both indoors and out.
The Bowcliffe Room provides a beautiful backdrop, with large sash windows overlooking the gardens, for your civil ceremony. Alternatively, you can opt for an outdoor ceremony by the miniature Chapel.
Enjoy drinks and canapes in the exclusive Bowcliffe Drivers' Club, the 1920s 'Golden Age of Motoring' inspired bar, with direct access to the south-facing terrace. Whether it's prosecco served from the Bentley Bar, or a G&T station served from the BDC Trike, the Bowcliffe Team are willing to make your day completely unique to you.
It is time for your speeches and wedding breakfast, served in the beautifully ornate and art deco inspired Ballroom. Accommodating up to 85 guests seated, the Ballroom provides the perfect setting to enjoy your delectable 3 course wedding breakfast from our Executive Head Chef and resident Masterchef, Darren Collinson.
The Blackburn Wing, our award winning treehouse venue is the perfect spot to party the night away. Accommodating up to 120 guests for the evening reception, this totally unique venue is the perfect show stopper to wow your guests.
Bowcliffe Hall has limited wedding availability each year, and is available for exclusive use. You will have access to our culinary team who are renowned for creating exquisite dishes, using the finest locally-sourced ingredients - sometimes as local as the Estate!

- Exclusive use - With a limited number of weddings taking place per year, we try and offer all our wedding couples (over 50 guests) exclusive use on a Saturday or Sunday only.
- Completely unique - Every corner you turn on the Estate reveals something new, whether it is the boxing hares on the driveway, or the monkey in The Blackburn Wing woods, there is always something to see.
- Exquisite food - Our Executive Head Chef, Darren Collinson, has featured on Masterchef: The Professionals to showcase his talent. All menus are based around seasonal, fresh and local produce, sometimes even as local as the Estate!
- Experienced team - with our team of Wedding Coordinators, Event Operations Managers and Head of Hospitality, there is over 30 years of hospitality experience meaning you are in safe hands. We aim to provide the best service to all guests.
- Bowcliffe Drivers' Club - your wedding day provides insight into the next year of your life, as with all weddings, we offer 1 years worth of membership to the Bowcliffe Drivers' Club.

This leads me on to the planning and team… Molly was our wedding organiser and I can’t stress how much she made this process feel enjoyable and understood. She was just wonderful. So helpful she sat with us multiple times helped us with menu choices and different dates, the day itself was literally faultless. The movement of the decorations from the ceremony into the evening and the change of locations, faultless. We arranged to use the hall for the bridal party to get ready in, this is such a good idea you have beautiful photos in this room and there is a small kitchen you can use next to the room for nibbles and champagne. Equally it has a small room attached which your bridal party can close off and use to get dressed without really going far. Again such an afterthought about how useful and well designed the venue is for a wedding.
There is nothing we would change about our wedding. The service in the lead up, to the delivery and the kind gift of membership afterwards has only left us with the best of memories.
We will be returning for meals and events. It’s a very special place.

Our only criticism is the microphone / pa was barely functional, some of our speeches had to be without microphones

A perfect venue and wedding day!
Perfect venue & fantastic food
The food was priority for us - and didn't disappoint - all canapes and meals were delicious and all our guests were catered for, nothing was too much trouble.
The day itself went so smoothly, the service was amazing, our guests have said they felt like royalty. Our coordinator Imogen was so friendly and helpful throughout the planning process and made sure we had everything covered properly.
Honestly just wish we could do it all again!

The best day of our lives…
We worked with Brooke as our wedding coordinator and she was incredible, nothing was too much to ask for and she made planning our day so easy and enjoyable. She seemed just as excited as us about our plans and we appreciated her expertise and positive energy! The whole team made sure the day flowed effortlessly and the evening staff were great and really helped us just be able to enjoy our evening and took great care of our guests (shoutout to Imogen and Paul)!
I wish we could do the entire day because it was just perfect.
I can’t comment on the food as we used an outside caterer (Kings Catering, Harrogate) but know that they found communicating with Bowcliffe easy which made planning really smooth.

Meet the team
Resident wine expert, hospitality veteran and the steady hand guiding every experience at Bowcliffe Hall and The Yorke Arms. Andrew has decades in the industry and a cellar’s worth of knowledge. Since joining the team in 2019, he’s been raising standards (and glasses) across both venues.
Rebecca is your guiding light from the moment you enquire, through to the final farewell. She handles all decisions, details and occasional curveballs with a calm presence and has an uncanny ability to read a room before it’s even set, she oversees sales, planning and on-the-day delivery with flawless precision. She joined in 2019 and hasn’t missed a beat since.
If you’ve seen us on Instagram, stumbled across a beautiful shoot or heard about one of our headline events, chances are Brooke was behind it. After years coordinating events, she now steers the creative ship, leading all things marketing for Bowcliffe and The Yorke Arms. From the Queen’s Jubilee Garden Party to the Beaulieu Motoring Festival and the Legend of Le Mans Dinner, Brooke makes it happen (with finesse!).
