Whinstone View is a self-contained upscale rustic wedding venue situated near Great Broughton in the North Yorkshire countryside. With a harmonious balance of expert craftsmanship and modern materials, this family-owner setting offers a most unique relaxing, romantic retreat. Comprising luxury log cabins and spa facilities, this exclusive use venue is just the place to embark on a new chapter refreshed for the lifelong journey ahead.
Facilities and Capacity
With a capacity of up to 150 guests, Whinstone View has plenty of room for friends and family to join your wedding celebration. You can opt to marry within the venue's characterful barn, making the most of the unique and rustic atmosphere. Alternatively, the private courtyard offers a simple yet magical setting for an outdoor ceremony. As for the wedding photography, you will be spoilt for choice between the manicured lawns and surrounding woodland. While you take a moment to savour your official union, guests will have much to enjoy over drinks on the outdoor terraces. We had the Perfect Wedding at Whinstone View!
We had the most amazing wedding at Whinstone View. Dawn and the rest of the staff were so attentive on the day and made sure that everything happened on time and that everyone was well looked after. It really took a lot of stress out of the day. The venue itself is beautiful and the food was fantastic (we had the pie, very recommended!). We booked the weekend package which included accommodation at the on-site log cabins for our close family and everyone loved them. The hot tubs got good use! We truly had the perfect wedding and we know that we owe a lot of that to Whinstone View and the staff that work there!

Incredible venue, Incredible staff, Incredible wedding.
I really don't know where to start with this incredible venue.
After booking our wedding in 2018, we finally tied the knot in 2021, Mandy, Dawn, and all of the staff at Whinstone have been there for us through every step of the way, they were there every time we needed them and always went above and beyond in every way possible. When covid hit and we had to rearrange our wedding, they were just brilliant, they were in such a tough position as a business and yet their heart and soul went into making their brides and grooms at ease through all of that turmoil.
Usually, wedding prices increase yearly, so when we had to rearrange our wedding, we thought we were going to be hit financially due to the inflation, and yet Whinstone View didn't charge a penny more, they honoured our original price booked from 2018, that being 3 years of price increases and they supported us completely.
As July 2021 fast approached, they went above and beyond for us, they did everything exactly as we envisioned, it was truly out of this world. Dawn and Mandy aren't just staff, they turn into your friends, your help when you need it and not forgetting your personal drink deliverer on the wedding day! I can't speak anymore highly of them if I tried.
The guests commented all day on how great everything was, the staff were there at everyone's hand and foot for whatever they needed.
Wray's Barn is a place that will hold a special place in my heart forever.
We stayed in Frida the night before with my bridesmaids and it was just amazing, everyone loved it and the lodge was immaculate. On the wedding night, us and our family stayed in all of the other lodges and they were out of this world, they were stylish, clean, comfy, and again, the staff couldn't do more! Even the gardener helped me clean my car before we left! (Thank you Micheal)
We had the best day of our lives and we couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Flawless - genuine care for their customers
Absolutely flawless from start to finish.
Planning a wedding during a worldwide pandemic was never going to be easy, but Dawn and the team genuinely had our best interests at heart. Moved dates no bother, honoured our packages, and made our day absolutely perfect from start to finish.
The food was incredible, the lodges were fantastic, and it was well worth the wait. It was our dream come true - genuinely the best day of our lives and we plan to spend every anniversary having a meal here.

Absolutely amazing Wedding venue from start to finish. We started organising our wedding in the January and got married by the October, it was perfect. Nothing was to much!

Whinstone View
My wife and I (still love saying that) had our wedding at Whinstone View on December 4th after having to delay it due to Covid. The day couldn’t have gone better! All of the staff were incredible and went above and beyond from the moment we walked in the day before, to the moment we left. Huge thanks to Charlotte who ran the day for keeping me, the warmest human who has ever lived, cool by adjusting the air con for me constantly and also Dawn who from our first meeting was excellent and made the day run without a single hitch, excuse the pun. Still a few months on people are still talking about the food (the pie) and how amazing it was. We cannot wait to come for dinner there again and stay in the most beautiful and relaxing lodges. Thank you! You made it an incredible day that we will never ever forget. 💍🍽🍺🥂🍾🍷

Personal, flexible and professional team providing the most special and memorable day
The team at Whinstone View gave us the best personal wedding experience that we could have asked for, right from the start when we were searching for a venue until after our big day. We want to do it all over again with the team at Whinstone!
We had quite a stressful time in the run up to the wedding, with covid putting the date on the rocks. However, Dawn and the team where flexible and empathetic throughout all of our stress. They pulled out all the stops to make sure our big day went as smoothly as possible, and they delivered!
Mandy in lodges was very helpful when it came to our overnight accommodation and made sure all of our guests had the best possible time – some of my family are hard to please but they were astounded with the lodge and all of its facilities.
On the night, Toby was a fantastic, friendly host by interacting with our guests, making sure everyone was happy and having a good time.
We had family travelling from across the UK and had guests commenting that “the venue was perfect and offered something for everyone”, “it was the best wedding I’ve ever been to” and the best comment was “this wedding was perfect and marked the start of life getting back to normal after covid. It couldn’t have been better”.
Special shout to Beat Boutique who provided a unique experience for our guests in a beautiful location and also to Kane Young who captured our special day in the most perfect place.

Awesome team and beautiful barn and location!
All I can say is that the team at Whinstone View are AMAZING, we couldnt have asked for more. They have negotiated their way through the pandemic fabulously and we had both our small ceremony and our wedding celebrations in the barn and both times we couldn't have asked any more of the team. A truly memorable experience...we just want to do it all again now! xx

Amazing and the most magical venue ever!
We have been coming to whinstone view ever since we got together back in 2013. We finally got married in august 2021 and wouldnt of picked a better place . The team are amazing here would go out of there way and do anything for you. Dawn was our wedding coordinator and she was absolutely amazing. Our day was the best day ever , everything we ever hoped for. Everything from start to finish was sucessfully all in order. We have been coming here for meals too and the food is insane. The place is so clean . Weve done over night stays too and the lodges are beautiful. Just feels like home when we come and stay to have a little break. Would definetly recommend getting married here and even coming for a stay over night. Our wedding guests commented all day on how amazing it was , some of them even say wedding goals. Thankyou too all the staff at whinstone view , thankyou for making the best wedding of our dreams come true.

100% the place to get married
Got married August 2021 after having to postpone due to covid pandemic back in August 2020. From the day booking our wedding to making new plans and on the day itself the staff were amazing throughout. I’m very hard to please 🙈 and they certainly met my expectations. The venue was beautifully set out on the day and nothing was an issue to them. My mam took I’ll just after the ceremony and they made sure an ambulance was called and looked after her so the rest of the guests could carry on. Even putting Schedule back until ambulance came. Throughout the rest of the evening even still asking on updates from hospital on her well-being. If you looking for a different venue that modern rustic feel with breathtaking surroundings. Whinstone View is the place. I would do it all again if I could. The food and cocktails are amazing as well. A lot of my guests have said that it was the best wedding they had ever been to. So don’t look anywhere else, just book it 👍

The best wedding day
We had the absolute best time at our wedding and it was largely down to Dawn and her team. From booking the date to the organisation, everything was so easy and well managed. No question was too small and they clearly have the process down like a well oiled machine. Dawn always made us feel comfortable and helped put any worries we had at ease throughout the process and leading up to the big day. On the wedding day Dawn and Peter were both around to make sure everything went well. We cannot thank them enough!

Legg Wedding 2021
We had our wedding in Wrays Barn in August 2021 and it was the most perfect day.
Dawn is absolutely incredible. Throughout covid and all the uncertainty around whether we would be able to go ahead - Dawn helped and supported us throughout. Even when we produced possibly the worst table plan she’s ever seen! 😬😂
Dawn guided us through every step of the way and nothing was too big or too much of an ask.
I would recommend booking the lodges for before and after your big day - they are stunning and a morning in a hot tub with your new hubby followed by an amazing breakfast with your nearest and dearest is a great way to start married life!
The entire venue and grounds are beautiful!
We had lawn games which were a huge hit with kids (and adults!)
The day itself went without any issues and we cannot thank Dawn, Tobi and the rest of the team enough for that. The bar and waiting staff went above and beyond and we fully appreciate the hard work they did that night!
The food was beautiful, a lot of rave reviews about the pulled pork buns and chips!!

Amazing from start to finish
Our whole day ran perfectly due to the staff at whinestone view. We didn’t feel any pressure and had the most enjoyable relaxed day they couldn’t of done anymore for us. The venue and accommodation were to a high standard the food was amazing we had the most amazing day.

Planning a wedding up north whilst living down south could’ve been very stressful, but the team at Whinstone View made everything feel smooth, stress free and so enjoyable. They got back to me quickly with every query, were so helpful and lovely. On the day I felt in such safe hands, everything was seamless, the food and drinks were lush and the venue was just as stunning as I had imagined.
