The Arches is a charming industrial wedding venue located in Halifax, in England's West Yorkshire region. This Victorian property, originally known as Dean Clough Mills, was once the largest carpet manufacturer in the world. It was then lovingly restored by the Hall family and established as an event space in 2014.
Facilities and Capacity
This striking setting is licensed to hold civil ceremonies, so you can spend your entire day in one convenient space. Inside the Arches, couples and their guests can be charmed by vaulted red-brick ceilings and Yorkshire stone floors. Exposed beams cross the ceiling for an added touch of historic charm. It offers a versatile backdrop for a variety of colour schemes and decor styles. This venue has a versatile setup and can comfortably accommodate events with up to 300 guests. More intimate gatherings with as few as 60 people are also welcomed. A special area can be set up with games for younger guests.

The Arches offers all-inclusive wedding packages to streamline the planning process. Couples can work with the exceptional in-house Executive Chef and team, who can create exactly the right food and drink options to suit your vision. Tasting nights are included as part of your Package. The venue's dedicated weddings and events team can help you realise your vision and walk you through the planning process. They have unrivalled experience in high-end, luxury event management with impressive suppliers at their fingertips. Each outside vendor is carefully chosen, ensuring they all believe in creating exclusive and impressive moments to remember.

I myself found 'The Arches' via 'Hitched' and from the very beginning the staff were amazing!
On trying to find our wedding venue, The Arches speaks for its self and that is why we booked it on our first visit.
Booking just three months prior to the date, it was a little out of the ordinary and with such a small amount of time the staff were so supportive and super organised.
The Arches is so beautiful, it was exactly what we wanted, everything under one roof, stunning industrial look, feel and amazing architecture.
On our wedding day the staff were exceptional, the food was outstanding (we will defiantly be booking in at the True North restaurant to re live our menu!), everything was so relaxed and ran so smoothly.
My myself, my husband and our guests were made to feel so welcome and never had an empty glass!
Sam (a member of staff) was fantastic!!! He brought my vision of a old school 'Hed Kandi' party to life! Along with our saxophone and bongo drums players it was a night to defiantly remember!
Highly recommend the campervan photo booth, so much fun and the photo guestbook is hilarious to look through of all our guests having such a good time.
I cannot recommend The Arches for your wedding or special event, you will not be disappointed.

Our whole experience with everyone at The Arches was absolutely amazing!!
From meeting Jamie when we first booked, emailing Kat throughout with any questions and Sam coordinating the day, everything was absolutely perfect and we had the best day of our lives.
Our tasting evening to choose food options was where things got real for us and the food was absolutely stunning.
Everyone who helped us could not do enough and made the whole planning experience so easy and enjoyable, meaning we felt very calm on the day!
Our vision totally came to light and the wedding package is such great value for what you got included.
Special shout out to Sam throughout the day, everything ran so smoothly and we wish we could do it all again, thankyou again! Would highly recommend and all of our family and friends loved it.

Amazing team; beautiful and versatile venue
The venue itself is beautiful and exactly what we wanted, lending itself perfectly to achieve our dream of big colourful party vibes. We can’t speak highly enough of the team, from the moment we booked they have been nothing short of fantastic. Kat was amazing at keeping us on track with planning while keeping it all as stress free as possible, and facilitated us popping over to see the venue several times during planning. The team did a beautiful job of setting up our DIY decor, better than we could have done ourselves, and meant we didn’t have to stress about factoring this in to our lead up. Sam kept the day running so smoothly, and we were particularly grateful for him ensuring we got some special moments alone throughout the day, including setting up a cute little table for two for us to enjoy our dessert. Everyone was professional while being welcoming & relaxed. All our guests commented on how relaxed the day was while also running so smoothly. We can’t recommend the Arches enough!!

Amazing day thanks to The Arches
The Arches was the first venue we visited, and immediately after visiting, we knew it was the venue for us. Not only was the package really reasonable (we went for the mid-week late afternoon package), the team were super flexible and laid back. We didn't feel as though we were being squeezed for extra charges here and there, like I know other venues can do! They tailored the package to suit us, and were very fair.
In the almost two years between booking and the wedding, we were in regular contact with Kat at The Arches, who was super friendly and helpful, even replying in the evening and at weekends (although she shouldn't!!)
Sam looked after us on the day and he was an absolute diamond, looking out for both of us all day. Everything ran so smoothly and if anything did go wrong, I am none-the-wiser about it!
I honestly could not recommend The Arches enough. It felt right straight away and we were not disappointed.

The staff were friendly and helpful from the get go and nothing was ever too much to ask. They were only ever an email away and Kat especially was always quick to get back to us.

Highly recommend in all aspects - perfect venue!
HIGHLY RECOMMEND! The Arches were brilliant with us beginning to end. Nothing was too much trouble for them - they were so flexible with literally everything we wanted to do and didn't whack on extra charges or hidden fees. They were incredibly responsive to all emails and really made us feel relaxed and at ease. Their team on the day was brilliant and all our guests commented on how professional, friendly and fun they were.
Food was outstanding and again all guests commented on it, especially the canapes and the blade of beef!
The package was excellent value for money considering all it included and they were more than happy to be flexible on the food and drinks.
Also extremely accessible with great location, parking and the hotel on site making it easy and cost effective for your guests.
Please don't hesitate to book this venue!

The best day of our lives
The best day of our lives! We both wanted a laid back and relaxed wedding experience where everything was taken care of, this was exactly what we got with The Arches. Sam, Kat and Jack were on hand every step of the way to answer and questions and to help us create the wedding of our dreams. Jack was running the show for our day and everything went perfectly, a true professional. The venue is so unique and beautiful - we opted for minimal decor as the room just speaks for itself, this is the beauty of The Arches. The food, drink and service were absolutely incredible, all of our guests have commented on this.
We felt completely taken care of throughout the whole experience, nothing was too much, we even created our own starter to fit with what we wanted.
If you are looking for an industrial vibe with fantastic food and staff then The Arches is for you, you certainly won’t regret it.

Flawless. Perfect. Amazing.
Could not fault the Arches in any way. Our wedding was the very best day in every single way. Kat, Sam and the whole team go way beyond anything we could have expected. Such a stress free enjoyable experience.

We very recently got married at The Arches. After seeing a few different venues, we adored the industrial, laid back vibe The Arches offered and the responsiveness/helpfulness of the team was the deciding factor vs other venues.
The venue is so unique, minimal additional decoration is needed but looked amazing with our bright/colourful touches. The team had pages and pages of instructions from me and decorated/turned around the venue, with no input from ourselves - it was effortless and allowed us to really focus on preparing for our special day.
All of our friends and family were stunned by the venue and food. All of them said it was refreshing to go to a different type of venue they have never been to before vs a church or a barn!! So many of them said they could see why we chose The Arches and how 'us' it was, and that is a reflection of the team really encouraging you to pur your personal touch on it. Yorkshire has been our home for many years and it felt so special to have a venue (and multiple vendors) that reflected this.
The food was fantastic. We had visited True North prior to booking, and for our menu tasting, but were still blown away on the day. Wow! what an absolutely stunning venue, it was the first one we looked at and nothing compared after.
Our Singer that we booked cancelled with a few hours to spare which was so disappointing but the team did not allow this to spoil the day.
The team at The Arches go above and beyond to make sure your day is perfect.
The food, service and everything was amazing so much so that I want to relive it all again.

The day couldn't have been more perfect!
We got married at the Arches on Saturday (16.07.22) and it could have not been more perfect. We booked back in 2020 so had lots of time to plan - The Arches team kept us up to date with the ever-changing Covid landscape and then when it got closer to the date, Naomi was just amazing at going through every detail with us, without it ever becoming overwhelming. The team helped with every aspect, from deciding what food to choose, to calming my nerves about impending 40 degree weather, to catering for a multitude of dietary reqs!
The venue itself is stunning and as a DIY bride, I really appreciated not having to need to add a lot to the venue in terms of decor / styling to have a big impact - and even then, Naomi helped on the morning to ensure everything was just right.

They couldn’t have been more helpful
The staff at the Arches were absolutely incredible. Nothing was too big an ask- they even helped us time keep on the day and kept unwanted guests away! Every request was met with a yes- they raised tables so we could get wheelchairs underneath, they helped us set up, they did special dietary requirements- they even changed guests food preferences on the day! We weren’t the most organised couple, but they never pushed, they just waited for our responses and couldn’t be easier to work with.
The food at the Arches was amazing- large portions, great food. And the venue was stunning. It was absolutely perfect for us. Thank you!
