We got married here last month, and what can I say. It was truly magical. We’ve since had countless comments from guests claiming it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to, and I believe that’s mostly down to the magic of this location. It just has a really special vibe - the nature around it, the new (extremely beautiful!!) glasshouse, the walled garden itself… just perfect. We stayed onsite in the pink tower and I also can’t recommend this enough . A really cool experience. Sandy from the Neidpath team did a brilliant job of coordinating our wedding even though we live on the other side of the world and time zones were tricky, and we had loads of questions given we never saw the venue before booking! Just can’t recommend it enough.

communication from start to finish was excellent their was a few hiccups on the morning off regarding a family member which concerns have been raised with the doubletree, the whole day ran smoothly however the favours were not placed on the table during day service and had to be placed randomly on tables at night which of course was not enough, all in all the food was 10/10 along with the service staff ensured we were attended to and happy throughout the day

ur wedding at Thirlestane Castle was intimate, meaningful, and more special than we could have imagined. With only my brother, sister-in-law, and our two nieces present, the day felt deeply personal — as though the castle itself stood as quiet witness to our vows. We first discovered the castle during my ancestry journey while tracing my maternal lineage to the Maitland/Lauderdale family. Learning that our marriage would begin in a place so closely tied to my heritage felt profoundly symbolic. Standing on those historic grounds stirred something far deeper than admiration — it felt like stepping into a living story centuries in the making and honoring it in our own way. The grandeur of the castle is breathtaking, and its sense of history unmistakable. As a private family home with such a distinguished and carefully preserved legacy, there is something especially meaningful about celebrating a new chapter of that extended story within its walls. We were deeply aware of the generations who have shaped its halls and grateful for the opportunity to mark our beginning in a place that so clearly values tradition and continuity. While the setting itself is extraordinary, the people who care for it are what made our experience truly memorable. Monica, Barry, Mrs. Anne, Courtney, and Mr. Eugene welcomed us with warmth, professionalism, and a genuine sense of pride in the castle and its history. Their thoughtful attention ensured that every detail of our small ceremony felt seamless and meaningful. For us, it was not simply about the setting — it was about belonging to the narrative in our own quiet, modern way. In a space defined by heritage, our intimate ceremony felt both humbling and significant. Our time at Thirlestane Castle was not merely an event; it was a deeply personal moment woven into a long and storied history. It will forever hold a sacred place in our hearts.

From the first meeting with Sam and Catherine, we found the organisation of the wedding a pleasure. We had a smaller wedding, with just over 50 guests, and had an outdoor ceremony and used the Bow Suite for the meal and dance. The day was superbly organised, with transport for the older guests, well organised bar and drinks, lovely meal in a beautiful setting and a very friendly staff, from reception throughout the hotel who looked after our guests efficiently but with a friendliness which is not so common. We would highly recommend the Atholl Palace if you want a personalised wedding in a iconic and beautiful highland setting. It is also not as expensive to host as you might think, given the quality of the venue, catering and the staff.

We got married in Teasses in July 2024. We could not have asked for a more beautiful spot for a wedding. The gardens and greenhouse are stunning, and the marquee had a wonderful ambience for both the meal and the disco in the evening. In the runup to the wedding, the coordinator (Joanne) was very helpful and responsive in dealing with our many many queries and concerns. Then, on the day itself, she was on hand and made sure everything went very smoothly.

We got married in May 2026 in the stunning location of Carrick Castle, overlooking Loch Goil and the surrounding beautiful hills - it was such a magical setting and was exactly what we had pictured for our outdoor wedding ceremony! Emma was an incredible help in the run-up and on the day of our wedding. She was so approachable and flexible when helping us with final planning aspects and on the day made sure that all of our suppliers were organised and that everything ran smoothly. We are so glad we enlisted Emma's help with our wedding as it meant that we could concentrate on the meaningful parts of the day and making memories with friends and family!

We so glad we went to see this venue at one of their open days. From meeting Samantha (the wedding coordinator) to the reception staff our first experience was great. The venue was dressed lovely with suppliers there to see and chat to. We booked in 2022 and fell in love so we married there in August of 2024. Every question and worry were answered quickly and my mind was eased at anything. On my wedding day Rafael and Keith looked after us and they were amazing from morning to night. The food was excellent and everything included in the package was worth every penny, with beautiful gardens for our pictures as well and as a bonus its dog friendly. If I could do it all again the way it was done I’d jump at the chance.

We had our wedding reception here at the end of April and honestly cant thank all the staff enough! From the minute we booked with the Fenwick, the wedding coordinator, Chloe, couldn't have been any more helpful! Everything we asked for was delivered and she worked so hard on the day to ensure everything ran seamlessly, we also noticed that she stayed late when she wasn't supposed to to help the bar staff, who were also incredible. Especially James! Every time we come in for dinner its the same familiar faces and warm welcome.

We got married at Kippilaw this weekend and genuinely couldn’t recommend them highly enough! From the moment we first visited, we knew there was something really special about Kippilaw. It doesn’t feel like a venue that churns weddings out — Vicky, Lil and the whole team are incredibly professional, organised and genuinely couldn’t do enough for us throughout the year of planning and on the day itself. One of the biggest things that stood out to us was the value for money. Weddings are expensive, and Kippilaw were incredibly understanding of our budget and worked with us to make things work rather than constantly trying to upsell or add costs. Unlike other venues we viewed, where every little thing seemed to come with an additional charge, Kippilaw have a much more refreshing attitude of “we have it already, so why should you have to pay extra for it?” This made such a huge difference and allowed us to put our budget towards the things that mattered most to us. Their flexibility and attitude were also fantastic. Nothing ever felt like a problem, and they were always willing to find a solution. They were happy for us to add our own decorations and were incredibly accommodating with all our ideas and requests. Even being able to make the indoor/outdoor decision at 10am on the morning of the wedding was a huge bonus given the unpredictability of Scottish weather! Throughout the planning process, Vicky and the team were incredibly thorough and professional, while still being so friendly and approachable. They thought of things we hadn’t even considered and were always available when we needed them, which made the whole process so much less stressful. On the wedding day itself, everything ran incredibly smoothly. The team were attentive and on top of everything without ever being intrusive — somehow managing to get everything done without us even noticing half of it happening! Kippilaw itself is absolutely stunning, but it’s the people that really make it. We felt incredibly well looked after from start to finish and genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better venue or team. We feel so lucky to have got married at Kippilaw and would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone considering it!

I cannot emphasise enough how much we loved getting married at Murthly Castle! Thomas and Callum were both incredibly accommodating for all our needs and helped make our special day even more special. They even took care of the tiniest little details (like raking the gravel and clearing the leaves), things we might not even have noticed but just made everything all the more perfect. Literally every single guest told us how beautiful the chapel, house and gardens were, and we can't help but agree. We went to visit in the rain and loved it; our wedding day was sunny and we loved it. The house is incredibly beautiful inside and out. The chapel is truly special. We had the most wonderful day at Murthly Castle and we were honestly a bit sad having to leave. It's such a special place, such great value for money and you honestly could not choose a better wedding venue.
